xxxxxxx   story It's been a rough year for the music business. Pop stars and rock masters are dwindling, and fan bases are decreasing down to the millions. Now that the idea of music is officially starting to pick up dust, it's time for a spring cleaning! Especially for the corporation by the name of SounERGY. They've brought out the best of the best pop groups, from b-boys to rock stars, and now they've begun a new search for the new face, or in this case faces. Which brings us to the real story.
It begins at the Martha Washington - International Music School. Though this school has nothing patriotic about it, it owns an ample amount of musically gifted students from all across America. Including their two group of prodigies that the school itself practically treats like rock stars—mostly because their parents also donate good money time and time again. There is also the small factor of talent, but you know, George Wa$hington comes first in America. Martha Washington, MW, is a school for the rich, or those on scholarships, which in fact are rare themselves. And this is exactly where SounERGY needs to scope out their new talent. They've already had their eyes on the two pop groups of the school.
Sound Out: They've got it all; hot looks, voices so beautiful they make the heartless cry, and an array of other talents than simply singing. These five boys have been together since middle school years, when everyone had the opportunity to work with their favorite artist simply for choir class. Well actually, it started out as four, and recently they've added a new addition, their manager claiming that it would 'balance out the sound range'.
under-LAND: They were born for it. They must have been. Those under-LAND girls can dance, sing, and look the part. Pretty as cherry blossoms and charming as princesses, but with a deep soul that can't be over looked. The group started out as two but gradually resulted as five, combining two names to create under-LAND. LAND standing for the Ladies Are Not Done. Apparently the message is a part of what their group is. And it shows.
S.O.U.L: This isn't a band, per-say. But they do appreciate one. Or two in this case. Its a combination of under-LAND and Sound Out fans under one educational roof, dedicating Me-Tube channels to them, blogs, and even romantic fan fictions. Yes they are all decently talented in their instruments, but really, they are simply here to get a glimpse at the rising stars. Some of them for their music, and others for their own—plausibly selfish—reasons. They know everything about the two feuding groups and will not rest until one of them is on top.
Now that the rumors of talent scouts coming to scoop up fresh meat are confirmed, the groups are at each others throats, sharp instruments included. The CEO of the company as declared that the two groups play against each other, in three different rounds. The one that produces the most talent, scores the contract with SounERGY. Let the games—or the music—begin.

rules ♬ Its common sense. Read the TOS and Gaian rules and the Guild rules. They haven't changed in the last few minutes, so you should know what to do. This roleplay is pg-16 and lit-adv.lit. Cursing is allowed, just don't be a sailor. Write at least two decently sized paragraphs every post. AT THE LEAST. Minimum. No less. Don't make it as if you can't write. You could be describing something, their emotions, or what their doing. Just don't write nonsense. NO ONE-LINERS. You can write up to as many paragraphs as you want, as long as you don't bore people. No cybering. It's gross. Time skip if you must. You'll know when I presume. ♬ During the competitions as mentioned in the story, we will judge which band is the "better" competitor by rolling dice, since its obvious both sides wants their team to win. In the OOC forum, each team member who is available will roll the dice 1-10. 1 is the worst, 10 is the best. You can write a reason behind why your character "played" the way she or he did. It helps move the roleplay along instead of everyone "playing the best they've ever played". The total of the scores real emphasize how each player plays, and how over all the band plays. The "judges"—or me—will respond accordingly. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me :].♬ I encourage romance in this roleplay. It makes things interesting. If you have any plot twist, please mention them in the ooc or PM me if its something really big. Also PM me Rumors as the title "This is what I heard". If you would like a relationship installed already [boyfriend/girlfriend/best friend, ect.] PM that with your reserve or profile. I'll add it to the list. ♬ Make your characters originals, my little minions. Any Mary-Sues or Gary-Dudes I'll drop them like hot tamales. I've already given you pre-made characters, but they aren't set in stone. If you want to change a personality trait, mention it in your reserve. I don't want everyone being all nice nice, because I'm pretty sure everyone has a mean, crappy side to them. Give at least one trait that isn't so perfect. A flaw! FLAWS ARE BEAUTIFUL. Make them full of it. Please, no sob stories, even though I don't plan on having much of a bio. Just facts about their lives.♬ Real pictures only. No anime. Make your posties pretty, no blinding colors and you must have your character's name, picture, and band title within in the post layout. No monster sized photos that clog up the whole space. Other than that, have fun with it! Fill it up with lyrics or quotes. Make it dazzle!♬ PM me your reserves filled out completely, by the title of "Without Music I'd Die". Profiles as "Its Going Down". Yeah, I know they really have no reference to each other. ♬ I'll probably add more rules. I just can't think of them yet.♬ ♬

and Mister New Guy...Their band members aren't going to be

Events
November - 5th. Friday is the annual Music Festival hosted by
the school! Currently the faculty is making renovations around
the school area, specifically in the auditorium and the school
grounds. On this day, famous musicians and performers from
around the globe will come and perform, lend advice, or just
chill on the premises. There will be games and other prizes for
competitions. SounERGY also figured it would be the best time
for the bands to give their first audition performance! Ready up
teams!
