Teh_Sheba Ivy-kun Well, I think it's just the initial reaction of people not agreeing with Tenzin being a Kataang child... I mean, I'll admit that when I first saw Bryke's answer to the question about who's the mother, it bothered me. It was like adding fuel to the fire or at least re-lighting the old flames of the shipping wars. But if I don't actively think about it, the fact that Tenzin is Kataang spawn (I find that phrase amusing, haha), it doesn't affect me one way or the other. I just kinda shove it away from me and focus on other things, such as the concerns/thoughts that I posted above. But also at the same time, it was kinda to be expected that Aang and Katara are the parents of Tenzin, y'know? This show is on Nickelodeon, and I wouldn't expect them to pull such-and-such separated/divorced and person-and-person got together/secret relationships ending with a b*****d child, or something. The original demographic of this channel doesn't exactly cater to divorces and messy details of relationships like that, so it was to be expected that a relationship of 13-year-old and a 15-year-old would work out forever on this show(quite unrealistic, yes, but whatever). And... then again, I don't pay attention to Nick that much anymore so I don't know if there are any current shows that discusses marital problems... *shrugs* Point is, it's probably for the best that they kept it as clean as it is, with no relationship issues between the cast and if there were separations down the line, it would use up some (perhaps a small portion) of the air time that the show has. The only Nick show I can think of(and I don't watch it that much either) that had "messy" marital issues would be Drake and Josh only because they had Drake's parent and Josh's parent marry to create a kind of step-family situation. But then I never knew the circumstances of why these two parents were single to begin with.
huh, I just realized that my relationship is one of those that start at a younger age but has been going strong for nearly a decade. He and I met when we were 13 and we were each other's first loves, and now we're married. So it can happen...I just think its a problem of personality matches with Katara and Aang instead of so much to do with age. Yeah, Nick has thrown in a few shows with some kind of family issues. I think the old shows "Rocket Power" and "Hey Arnold" had it so that in RP the mother was deceased, but I think with HA the parents just vanished so that he was living with his grandparents. I miss old Nick. ;_; Off the subject, but that is so romantic!!! It's so sweet!! ^_^ Yeah, I don't think it's the age thing with Katara and Aang. Aunt Woo (sp?) even said Aang had no love in his future, but I guess Bryke was just like "Ah, what the hell! We want a Kataang baby!" and they made it happen. XD Had Aunt Woo never said that about Aang's future, I don't think I'd be all that bothered by it.

Reggie was so cool. =O Anyways, for me, I just didn't like how Aang got the first girl he set his eyes on, without realizing that they weren't right for each other and that there was so much more underneath... And ah! I forgot about Aunt Wu's prediction for Aang's future! I guess they disregarded his loveless-future prediction? XD But wait... what about Sokka's prediction? XD Haha. Ah, but on hand, that's so sweet. =3 I'm happy for you and your husband. =D How long have you guys been married?

Ah, but on hand, that's so sweet. =3 I'm happy for you and your husband. =D How long have you guys been married? Old Nick was the best stuff ever. If you get Netflicks or however you spell that, it has Hey Arnold and some other random shows like The Angry Beavers. XD Man, when I was little I wanted to be Reggie. She was so badass. I agree! He just suddenly picks her out even though he doesn't really understand what comes with a relationship. I'm pretty sure the monks don't teach kids about dating and what not. XD That prediction was stuck in my mind the entire series! Avatar is one of those shows that a tiny detail shows up again later, like Katara's spirit water. She gets it from Pakku and by the fifth episode of the 2nd season we totally forget about it because it's not mentioned ever before it pops up in the finale. I loved it. Aunt Wu's prediction was one of those wierd details that seemed to go no where even though it should have had significance. It wasn't like it was a prediction like Katara's of what she'll eat later. I mean, that was a prediction of his entire future! He's got no romance in his future (that sucks). That's an awful, but huge prediction to hear from someone, but apparently it wasn't important for various reasons. You have to wonder why it was in the show, though, if it wasn't important. Ah, I'm ranting again. And Sokka's prediction was wonderfully true! I love him. XD I was going to ask that, too! I love to know how long people have been together for. It's so sweet. ^_^

[to avoid a whole post tower, I'm just going to make a new post here, lol]
@Rocky: Ah! I didn't think of that! Well, I do have several weeks before I head off to college (very excited! >w<), so maybe I can do that with my time, haha. And I started humming the theme song to The Angry Beavers when I saw that you mentioned it. XD Ahhh, I'm blanking on their names... Nort... and something... Or I'm just totally off. XD
I remember there was this one comment on a youtube video where it says that Aang's not allowed to have a girlfriend/get married because he's a monk. XD I couldn't stop laughing at that comment, haha. And that would have been nice if they brought up Aunt Wu's predictions for them... It would have had a nice... balance (? there's another word... It's on the tip of my tongue... Ahhh, I don't remember!) with having something reappearing once again, like with the spirit oasis water.
Hehe, I agree. Just knowing about these things makes me feel all happy inside. X3
