I've lived a pretty safe life. Most of the adventures I took were complete with safety nets in the form of family and savings.
I'm going to be moving out to Denver next month, with no guarantee of work and no housing waiting for me. My savings are enough to keep up with the bills for a few months, but then if I'm not making real money I'm in trouble, and my family can't afford to bail me out.
I suppose this is what being an adult feels like.

I know some of the people on this forum much better than those I live near. I wouldn't call them strangers at all.
I mean, I'm moving out to live with someone who I met online. Some things require a physical presence, but genuine emotion and connection do not.
