The girl pursed her lips, that was was not a satisfactory answer, she wanted somethign more concrete than that before she was going to answer herself. "Victoria that's boring, you can probably learn every violin song ever in a couple years and there can't be that much interesting to learn about other stuff and then what will you do?" Carina didn't like the idea of her friend being bored forever because that was exactly what would happen. Although the curio supposed that when you thought about it forever was going to get boring no matter what.

" You have to have goals" she continued with a bit of a huff, honestly she was younger and here she was explaining something so obvious to her friend. " Things you want to accomplish, boys you want to kiss and marry, stuff like that." Okay so Carina was still young and naive enough to not really know what exactly adults did that was all that special and interesting but she had vague ideas. You didn't get to just stop growing at Tori's age and do the same things forever, it just wasn't how the world worked.

Carina stared at Tori's fangs for a moment, they were sort of cute on the girl she'd never viewed as dark or aggressive. Still, they seemed appropriate on her now, when she made that face and noise. it didn't scare Carina but then little did these days.

"I guess that works," she murmured. Her friend seemed to have some sort of plan even if there wasn't a boy involved, which was required. Mostly though Carina just wanted to know Tori would be happy with whatever she did..

Satisfied at least for now she tugged her friend forward again. "Come on, all the good seats will be taken."They could talk more once they were seated and had their drinks. It was easier for the girl to think when she wasn't thirsty or walking. There was definitely stuff to think about too becuase things still felt a little weird between them.

Carina rolled her eyes but nodded, she was the lighter and smaller one after all. It wouldn't last forever though, someday she'd be as big and strong as Victoria. Then they'd see who sat on who's lap.

Carina only nodded and found them a place to sit and they'd barely settled into the seats before they were asked what drinks and pastries they might like that day. It took little tine to give their orders and then the waiter was gone and the girls were left alone again.

" Why do you like me?" Carina asked softly, though the stared at Victoria as if she might be able to tell if her friend's answer came out as a lie. This wasn't the best conversation starter but Carina needed to know and she still had rather poor impulse control at times. Older and wiser she might be getting but she was still just a child and subject to the rather raw and powerful way she dealt with her emotions.

Carina thought that over, she was younger and weaker than Victoria but she was an equal? it made her happy to hear those words and she had to admit that she did see similarities in them. Nothing Tori had said was somethign that would change as she grew either, they were core ports of who she was.

"We like each other for who we really are." Not the masks and pretending and shallow qualities they both had but for .. for their souls maybe? Was that was soul mates was really supposed to be, people so like you that you just know them and they feel right to you no matter what?
