Kaya waited for Brayden to return from speaking with the crew, watching as Aoibhinn drifted lazily along above the ship's deck. It seemed to him that the Metagross was quite fond of the world all of a sudden. The wild Metang he'd known before was no more and he now owned a well mannered and highly intelligent Metagross in it's place. It seemed strange to say but he was sure he'd miss that crazy Metang with the split personality.
Laying on the ship's deck, he shifted his gaze to the sky, watching it turn from the blue of afternoon to the crimson and violet of sunset to the deep blue of twilight. "It's been a long, long time since we were able to just sit and watch the moon come out." he voiced when he sensed Bray's return.
He smiled at his lover's description of the town. "It sounds like home way back when I was a child." he admitted, stretching out a bit as he spoke. "I can't wait til we get there."
Seeing his lover curl up, Kaya smile and followed suit. It had been far too long since they'd had the freedom and lack of worry that made cuddling easy, so he retrieved his bag from Aoi and curled up with the other male, using his own bag to pad his head. He decided it was a good idea to no compete for the fluffiest pillow. He could have easily been more comfortable if he's called out Tin for a little electricity on his bag.(which he'd lined with his Amphaross wool back when she had been a Mareep).

Bray was vaguely aware of the ship moving beneath him, rocking gently as it crossed the waves. He never was fully aware, and was fast asleep before the cargo ship made it out to open ocean. As horribly cliche as it was, the water was relaxing, and even the sailors shouting orders to one another wasn't enough to wake him for a vast majority of the trip.
He only roused slightly when Kaya lay next to him, and even then, all he managed was to grasp his love's hand in his own, offering a sleep-laden smile, before settling back down, curling a bit closer to Kaya as dozed off yet again.

Kaya felt Brayden take his hand and smiled softly to him. "Sorry, love." His whisper was barely loud enough to hear and he returned to silence after.
It took him no time at all before he was sleeping peacefully, his arm draped over Brayden's side, his hand entwined with the other's.
It seemed his own exhaustion paralleled his mate's, seeing as the sounds of the sea pushed him deeper into slumber and drowned out the voices of the ship's crew. Perhaps it was the fact he hadn't heard that sound in far too long that made it so soothing?
