((Alive and well. Okay, an order of Bleda and Kain fresh out of a twisted mind coming right up. Sorry for the delay. I had to think for a while on what to post.))

Bleda simply nodded at Brand's suggestion. The dark haired man gave a light slap to the back of Kain's furry back. "Don't get left behind now," he quickly commented as the gray wolf charged into the darkness navigating through the area via its nose. Bleda kept up with Kain as best as his human abilities could take him. The darkness gradually turned into twilight as Kain and Bleda reached what appeared to be a door left opened to one of the building's rooftops.

The smell of meat over an open fire was very strong and obvious now--in fact, they were staring right at it on a rooftop across from them. There appeared to be a humanoid figure near the fire as well. The gray wolf sat back on its hind legs staring curiously at the sight as if wanting to investigate further, but prevented by the open space between the buildings. Bleda stood there staring at the sight withi his arms crossed waiting for the others to catch up.

Kara followed after Bleda and realized why Kain and Bleda had stopped when she saw that the fire was some distance off on another building. "Who's that?" The smell was definitely coming from there. "Hey, say something!" Kara shouted across the opening, hoping the humanoid figure would respond. Did "ghouls" cook meat? She hoped not, because if they did, she could have just endangered them all. They did have more people though. She squinted, trying to see if there are any other people by the figure on the other building.

Lifting the now cooked meat off of the fire, Shaun lifted the leg and ripped a large piece of the tender flesh before chewing it carefully. "Hey, Say something!" Turning his head in the direction of the voice, he was surprised to find that there were two people and a large dog on the oppsite roof. Swallowing the meat and wiping the grease off his chin, Shaun stood up and moved close to the edge of his roof. "How do you like your meat cooked. Just a shame it's goat." Just their luck. He was sarcastic.

‘Grimm’ Ghoulish
NO SHOUTY SHOUTY!!

Grimm followed on behind Kara, keeping a close eye on the surroundings as he ventured into the moonlight and the white glow he viewed the fire as, though due to it's heated glow he couldn't make out the figure. Keeping a wary eye below at the ghouls that seemed to be gathering from the overpowering smell of roasting meat. Just then Kara shouted across causing grimm to pull her and Bleda back into the dark. The ghouls wouldn't bother with Kain... He was too small a target to bother will if all that delicious meat was there for the taking.
"we should be careful not to attract attention to ourselves... ghouls will come for us rather than the meat if they see a bigger potential feast." He said letting go of them and moving away into the building again to avoid any backlash. He sniffed the air again.
"On the other hand... I recognise his smell over there, he saved you already before with his rifle. May I suggest leaving it to me to greet him? I know the ghouls of this city better than anyone here, I can guarantee that, meaning I would be the best bet to get over there with that... Horde... Below him" Grimm said to the group as he poked his head out to count the numbers below.
"Not good, at least 10, and I can smell more on their way too... Damn hungry bastards."

Brand and Gal followed after the others, but Gal, being Gal, was clumsy and almost tripped over himself again. Because the two of them arrived late, they didn't hear Shaun's response. They did however hear Kara's shout from back in the hallways.

Brand scoffed. Grimm was correct on the cautious factor and the silent factor. It was too dark for him to see what was down on the ground level. As long as they had the top floor barricaded or if the ghouls didn't realize they were up on the building, they would be safe... Had they barricaded all the possible entries? What was Grimm babbling about rifles and saving? The dots connected for Brand.

Gal blinked. "Hey, there's some wooden boards here. Maybe they can reach..." He poked a dusty one. It seemed brittle, but the one next to it didn't seem that way. "Uh, hehe. Oops, didn't mean to break that...." He looked sheepishly at the others and backed away from Drago again. "How come you smell so well?" the kid asked Grimm.

"Did that person respond?" Brand asked, referring to Shaun.

Drago snuffed loudly and smiled crookedly at Kain before slithering away over the rubble. Faraday watched him go with a petulant look on her face. He was supposed to be looking out for her, not playing around! Still, that he was this comfortable meant she didn't have much to worry about, at least for now. The lizard seemed to avoid the one called Grimm, though, and Faraday didn't blame him. While Grimm didn't seem overly threatening, he still gave her the creeps, especially with the way he spoke.

Faraday followed the others as they adventured into the darkness. Drago slipped along quietly, his feathers softening his movement, though if one listened closely, one could hear the clicks of his claws. Even in the darkness, the lizard's eyes seemed to glitter. Just seeing him, Faraday felt safer about being in the darkness with a group of strangers and a dangerous wolf.

She arrived just in time to hear the Grimm volunteer to go across. Her suspicions arose. How could he possibly get to the other side undetected by the ghouls? The young boy's voice distracted her, as well as Drago, who, remembering his earlier fun, circled noisily around the boy.

"You... ask questions a lot, don't you?" Faraday sighed, scratching the back of her head. Just her luck: people who liked to talk. She'd lived the past several years with only Drago, so all this excitement with so many people was starting to overwhelm her. Still, there was safety in numbers... Maybe.

Things looked busy on the other building. At least five people and a few animals too. If the weren't careful -- never mind. The ghouls had started to notice with all the talking that had been doing. Though it was only two of them, that would be enough to signal to anyothers that there was "food" in the building. Only one thing for it then. Taking anouther hearty bite out of his leg of goat, Shaun dangled it down from the roof a bit to catch the attention of the ghouls once more.

As soon as they were all reaching for the meat, he hefted it as far as he could down the street. It managed to get two buildings down the road before stopping and being pounced on by the crowd of hungry ghouls. Yet again, he only managed to eat half of what he had planned to, but he was used to it.

He guessed it would tak less that a minute before they finished with the leg, but whether they returned to hoarding round the building or not was anyones guess. Motioning to the others, he tried to get them to get low and stay quiet. If the ghouls couldn't hear any "food" what reason would they stay for.

Brand noticed Shaun's motion to them to be quiet. Noise was attracting attention, and that meat that the man had flung off the building would hopefully divert the ghouls.

Gal looked at Faraday and then at Drago who was circling around him again. He hadn't mustered enough courage to touch the lizard yet. Before he began to speak, Brand put a hand over his mouth.

The older brother looked at Grimm, eyeing him. The robed man wanted to go down into that mess down there? Though if anything, the time was better than since the ghouls were somewhat distracted. "You certain?" he whispered, asking Grimm. Brand didn't know what sort of background the odd man had. "We will wait here."

((Short post, but this is basically all Bleda and Kain would do at the moment.))

Bleda continued staring at the scene in front of him while listening to the others talk about a course of action. He glanced over at the survivor and then the ghouls. Kain more or less reacted in a similar fashion. Without turning around he simply said, "Go if you want." His statement was directed toward Grimm. He could probably toast some ghouls with a Molotov Cocktail, but it would also attract unwanted attention. For now, Bleda and Kain watched the group of ghouls as they swamped over a piece of meat.

The darkening sky lights up as thousands of meteors zoom across, casting eerie shadows over the ghouls who gaze up stupidly to watch their passing. Several meteorites slam into the ground, throwing up debris and dirt while the ghouls scramble for safety, horribly disfigured mouths issuing noises of distress.

One meteorite, upon impact, cracks open to reveal a tiny life form, no longer than a human's middle finger. Its shape is roughly humanoid, though there is a fifth appendage that seems to be growing out of its head. The appendage twitches and suddenly the tiny figure sits up and looks around, its alien eyes glowing a neon orange. As soon as it stands, the tiny thing begins to grow and grow and grow, shooting up until it was at least seven feet tall and thin as a rake.

Several ghouls are forced out of hiding due to curiosity and hunger. The alien, furred a light pink with a beak for a mouth and talons for fingers, stretches and burps before pouncing on the nearest ghoul. The ghoul lets out a piercing shriek as it is torn apart by the merciless alien. The surviving monstrosities scurry for cover, now alert to the alien's power.

The alien feeds on the corpse rather noisily before looking up at the humans in the building. Wiping its hand across its bloody mouth, the creature stands and lopes toward the building, building speed and ferocity with each pounding step. At the wall, it starts scaling the side rather quickly, though every once in a while it comes across a loose piece of stone, causing the alien to slide down several feet before starting up again with ever increasing eagerness.

The sound of the meteorite and a rather large pink fluffball turned Brand and Gal's attention away from the zombies and Shaun. Gal, to Brand's horror, was very curious about the new alien creature thing. "Ohh! New species!" Gal, in his wise scholarly decisions, decided to lean over the building wall to get a better look at the fluff. "AHHH! IT HAS TEETH! SHARP TEETH! IT'S BIG!!!!" Gal yelled half in interest and half in terror.

"Tsch," Brand scoffed as he rolled his eyes. "Looks like we have something else to deal with now," he remarked as he kept his balance and dragged Gal back from the edge.
