So you've gotten ahold of a shiny new Civilian or Blacksuit character and you want to share their adventures with the world. Luckily, here at EndGame|TfC, we're very accommodating to this - just set up a logbook and you're ready to go!

What's a logbook, you might ask? A logbook is what we call non-powered character diaries. (Powered characters have "gospels" - you can read about those here.) Once you set one up, you'll be linked on the front page and you're ready to RP!

Part 1. Thread creation
This right here is the subforum for civilian and blacksuit character diaries. If your character is a player, their diary goes in the "Gospels" subforum. If you are making a diary for a Player and you are not in the subforum titled "Gospels," you are doing it wrong. So make sure you're in the right place!

The first thing to do is format your thread title right. A correct thread title for a civilian reads:

A day in the life of: [Name]

So, for example, if your character's name is Susie, your thread title should be:

A day in the life of: Susie

If your character is a blacksuit, your thread title should be:

Agent [name], reporting for duty.

If Susie were a blacksuit, her title would read:

Agent Susie, reporting for duty.

In your first post, you should have your cert and any sort of introductory statements you want. You can also jazz up your thread with banners, font colors, etc. It's your playground, have fun.

Although you might not use all of it, we recommend reserving the whole front page (fifteen posts).

Part 2: Profile information

If you've obtained a character, you've probably already got a completed profile template. Just in case you haven't, though, you can find one here. If your profile hasn't been approved by staff already, you'll need to get it cleared before you can play, but that shouldn't stop you from setting up your diary. (Characters won through RP contests are considered automatically approved, assuming the profile hasn't been significantly altered since the contest.)

With your shiny, completed profile in hand, you now need to copypasta it into your diary. It should go in the second or third post depending on the layout you're using, somewhere easy for us to find. Other than that, though, the layout and contents of your diary is up to you!
