I wouldn't say my theatre has a ghost, but there is a definite...spirit to it. The theatre itself has a definite personality. I see the building itself almost as a person...an amalgam of everyone that it was important to and were important to it. I feel like I've somehow left a piece of myself in there.

It's an old theatre, but 2 years ago it was renovated...maybe that's why we haven't got any particular ghost yet. wink

Our theater has a ghost called Victor...or maybe it's George, I don't remember. Anyway, everyone says he kills people (just to tease), and I've never seen anything weird, but it's still pretty freaky.

We havea ghost in my school audotorium whom we affectionetly call Tabitha or... Tabby. You know, normal ghost mishaps, props moving around, that kind if stuff. The house lights like to ghost on and off as well, and just be generally annoying for no reason. We've discussed having a seance (sp?) but... hahaha.

My friend was stage managing and had to sit up in the cat walk where the lights are hung to call cues for a show and she was afraid Tabby was gonna eat her XD

Overall, we feel Tabby good-natured and not out to get us or anything.

On a similar note, we've also proved the Macbeth superstition to be true. One of our idiot techies once said the word on stage and withing an hour one of the rooms off the stage that the actors changing and stuff was infested with roaches. Ahhh.

AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH indeed.

And I volunteer at the Eisemann Center in Richardson/Dallas-ish area, and my supervisor says that it was built on an indian graveyard. The door to aisle 8 opens randomly, and this snooty symphony won't perform there because of it. It's pretty creepy.

And Tabby is my bestest friend. *huggles*

Apparently, most people believe that there is a ghost in our costume room.
The story goes that the janitor was old and he just lost his wife. He was going to commit suicide, but it just to happens that he was going to quit the next day.

Here's the thing: he was cleaning up in the theature when suddenly he had a heart attack and he died in the shower.

I don't know if this is true. They're just rumors. I never justified this. But since I'm the propmaster and the costume person.. I have heard a faint voice before...

My old high school has a ghost named Lucy. She has a corner that she keeps the lights off in. City technicians have come multipule times, but they can't fix those light. She also likes to turn off lights the stage lights if she doesn't like the production.

One time, the city technicians messed with the lights, and she didn't like it at all. For a period of three weeks, she refused to let the lights work right. Mr. Dyer, the Theatre teacher, would get the lights up so we could reherse our one act in Permorance class, and she kept flashing the lights on and off. The music department also had their Christmas performance during that period and at one point the lights turned completely off and refused to come back up. Every week the technicians came back and tried to fix the problem, but they said they couldn't find anything wrong. At the end of the three weeks, they finally just undid what they did and Lucy stopped playing with the lights.

During my Introduction to Theatre class whenever the people who were only there for the credit not because they were interested in Theatre started to disoby Mr. Dyer, she would keep flashing the light right above them until they stopped or until Mr. Dyer said, "That's enough, Lucy." On of the girls was talking back to Mr. Dyer one day and was being very disrespectful to him, and Lucy just kept flickering the light. But the girl wouldn't shut up. All I saw was the girl fall backwards like she was pushed but no one was around her. She never came back to Introduction the Theatre, and I don't think she would ever set foot in the auditorium again.

We have no idea where Lucy came from, but the old electric system was extremely disfunctional and we think she may have been electrocuted by it.

Everytime I ask someone involved with the Theater at my college, they refuse to say anything because "it's not appropiate conversation." Of course it's appropriate conversation, I NEED to know what not to do to make the theater Ghost MAD!!!!!!!!!

well let's see in my theatre we have three major ghosts. Our theatre is called Wallace Book of Life Theatre

Ghost number 1) Wallace- The man the theatre is named after hung himself in an attic and has been haunting our theatre ever since. He likes the costume room (perv) and loves the make up room as well

Ghost number 2and 3) Little Girl and Father- there is a little girl and her father (we assume) who like to play around in the shop with the tools and wood work. The little girl also loves the soundbooth and the hallway by the soundbooth. She likes rolling a ball donw the hallway and make sounds down the stairs.

so those are thr ghosts in my college's theatre.

I don't know about my college yet, but I do know that my high school has at least 3 of them in The Hall. It's pretty creepy. There 3 pictures of some priest that were apart of the parish a long time ago. Originally The Hall was a church, but was changed when the school was built.

It was considered disrespectful if The Hall was used for anything other than religious affiliation. Well during a dance 15 or 20 yrs. ago, the lights had all went out, and their were sparks and weird "accidents" occuring. From that time nothing really happened after that.

But they say if you stare into either of the 3 pictures long enough, the eyes of priests' wil stare back at you. (the pictures black and white, except for their eyes which are colored bright green/blue. Really creepy @M@)

The theatre at my school is full of spirits. Most of them are pretty nice--my friends and I have oijied there before--but there is one in particular that likes to cause trouble. It's an older man who sits in the back row if the main stage theatre, and he likes to tamper with the sets and lighting equipment a lot. We will always come in to find sets moved or broken, and he'll change lighting and sound cues.

Giacomo Casanova
Where i work we got a ghost, called george, various accounts, voices but no one there strange happenings,

*This guy who i work with told me one time before i was working there he came over after one of the shows(he didnt work this show it was a long time ago) well he came in and the staff were having a bit of a party, well, they said the ghost aint been out he said hello george and they have small lamps on either side of the hall, each one of them flashed off (they were on) in sequence down the hall, one thing was they are all on the same switch, no way they could have flashed.

* another accout the same guy was working late at noght and he was just locking up the stage, standing centre stage he could here something so he was really quiet and he could here men talking on the balcony about the redesigning of the clock tower, now that took place about 100 years ago, and there was no one there.

i aint been so lucky nothing really spooky has happened to me, other workers have felt breathing on them as they lock up and flashing exit lights if you ask questions.

i dont think te ghost likes me crying

but maybe this year will be more promising biggrin

Is this a professional theatre? Which one... because I've heard about a theatre with a ghost names George on a theatre documentary... just wondering.

in high school, a couple of priest ghosts haunted the old auditorium where we did our plays. It's been quiet though, so I suppose they're not in the mood to haunt this time around razz

Now my school has multiple ghosts. some people agree with me others call me crazy...

2 years ago right before our musical of "Little Shop" a tech was working in the cat walks. Now our cat walks are 3 stories tall after the first storie. The only way to reach the second floor cat walks is to go down 2 trap doors on different sides of the cat walks. Now the tech was picking things up ( from tech classes) so none of the actors would trip in the dark. Well one of the trap doors was up and he didnt know about it. He was walking right next to the open trap door when he was pushed. He fell right down the trap. He had a broken leg a concussion and lots of cuts and brusies. He didnt remember falling but he did know he was pushed. No other techs were up there at the time or and actors.

My second story....

Last year during our first production the ghost made a second appearence. I was working back stage with two other girls. something fell on the 3 level where the is a landing for the stairs. we all look up and see nothing there. then a call comes in over the headset saying a light was on up stairs and that somebody needed to turn it off.....well i went up with one other girl. we crept our way up to the third flood and across the cat walks and in to the room. the light was on and a door open. we shut the light off and closed the door. we started back across the way we came. something fell again only this time in the room, the door was open and the lights were on. ok so weir thinking that theres some kid running around. so we go back stage and tell the director that theres somebody running around. like 10 minutes later an actor nearly screams, shes looking up to the third storie landing and theres some body standing there. so we start freaking out cause its like a shadow person. it started randomely apearing through out the night. the other girls and i are freaking out, as soon as the play ends and everybodys out of the house the actors and techs run the cat walks looking for a person. then somebody looked in the utility room next door and see the shadow person.

ya so i definatly think my theatre is haunted....big time!
