1: Foreign relations
Gotta start off with the obvious one. We get attacked by terrorists- or our own government, either one's possible- and wage a war in return. The only war where we've seen any results from is the one we're waging in the wrong ******** country.
2: Pop culture.
John Cena, tween sensations, and Twilight. NEXT.
3: The movie industry.
For about three straight years, cinematic integrity all but died, with remakes and sequels being made left and right, with almost no R rated movies hitting theaters- It was far more profitable to release PG-13 movies into theaters, and follow it up with an R-rated/unrated DVD. Thank god this didn't last long.
4: Texting
If talking on your cell phone behind the wheel wasn't bad enough, phones became mini-computers, and people actually took to concentrating on a screen while driving. The only upside is that texters often rape the english language, so at least the ones who crashed and died weren't people we'd miss.
5: Hip-Hop cover songs.
Every time I heard Kanye West's version of "Harder Better Faster Stronger" or Flo Rida's version of "You spin me right round," I wanted to shoot myself. If I had access to a gun, I'd literally be dead right now, and they'd be to blame.
And those two songs are just the tip of the iceberg.

Obama's not bad. Not as bad as our last president, anyway. At worst, he'll be known as one of the many caretaker presidents.
((Caretaker president- lesser known, inneffectual president who just holds down the fort for rour years without making much of an impact))
