Alright, so I'm going off to college, and I'm going to be across the country from my closest friend from home. Therefore, since we all have a DS, I was thinking if there are any good wifi coop games we could all play those together and still keep in touch. I know of Phantasy Star 0 and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time but am not sure if either is worth it. Also I'm definitely going to get Dragon Quest IX and am looking at Final Fantasy: 4 Heroes of Light even though those are only local coop. Any suggestions of other games or opinions of these?

Lol, I have a phone, but I'm not much of a person to just talk and stuff. It'd be a lot better to play a game with each other. I have AC:WW and mario kart, but I'm looking more for a game to progress through than animal crossing or just racing like mario kart.

Yeah, Pokemon, like ILI said. I think you can team up via wifi in the Battle Tower.

I have CC: EoT. I can attest that it's worth it. You can play together AND progress through the story at the same time. Not to mention a few optional quests for nice items that are strictly multiplayer. Fun times all around.
Also I know that LoZ razz hantom Hourglass has a wifi game mode you can play around in. Spirit Tracks has a 4 player game mode, but that's local only.

Thanks, but I don't think I'm getting pokemon. I've never played a crystal chronicles, is it an RPG? I heard it's more of a hack and slash dungeon crawler, so would it be like Diablo?

It's still an RPG like the rest of the FF franchise, but yes, it's a dungeon crawler H&S-type thing.
