Gambit (Death) is an epic badass.
The team is well rounded, imo. Cloak would be nothing but useless without Dagger since she wouldn't be able to constantly fulfill his hunger for light energy, but through chance he got teamed up with Northstar who can also manipulate light.
Pyro and Northstar manipulate fire and light, respectively, while Dr. Strange can throw whatever spells you can think of at the other team. Pyro, Northstar, and Dr. Strange can sit tight, hide, and shoot fire, light, and magic through Cloak (Cloak can teleport himself, others, or other matter through wormholes), and Cloak could probably send it through a wormhole to end up behind the other team and hit them in the backs. Gambit rounds it up as the hard-to-hit thief, aka distraction. Though, Death Gambit personality-wise would probably just go attack the other team....
.....but, no matter how good of a team they are...
...the other team has the embodiment of the end of the universe. ******** you, Phoenix.
Canonically, Phoenix is overpowered. And would probably win since team 1 has no self-healing tankers or bulky distractions.

ho no witch team to vote for... you cant have Cloak with out Dagger that just stupid to put them up agents one another there a team. gay Vz. gay Northstar Vs. Batman  Aunt May FTW

The teams are all random, from numbers generated from random.org
So when Cloak ended up against Dagger, I was like "lolwut"

But are we talking bat s**t crazy Jean Grey/Phoenix, with no control over her powers, or relative/total control and ever-vigilant, ever-good personality?
Add in Death Gambit, who would probably take advantage of the other team having an innocent, and depending on Phoenix's control over her powers and drive to protect the innocent, he might just tip the scales in his team's favor.
He and Dr. Strange could hold their own, and Pyro might prove useful as well assuming his ego doesn't get the best of him.
... and I love how no one has so much as mentioned Batman.

My vote already went to Phoenix's team.
But in this case, this is Phoenix, not Dark Phoenix. Jean Grey can control the powers to an extent, but that doesn't make them any less overpowered.
