Hey, in school, or in history, my class learned that the Old Testament is based on Judaism. Is that true? question

yes, the old testament is the part of the word of God that the jews believe. they believe in the same God as christians, but they do not believe that Jesus was the messiah, so while both faiths believe in the old testament, only christians believe in the new testament.

Okay, thank you soooo much! biggrin And then Muslims believe in God, but they don't believe that Jesus was His Son? That Jesus and Muhammed were messangers, right?

not exactly. they say that they believe in the same God, but they don't believe in the bible at all. they have their own book, the kuran, which is totally different.

Technically the Old Testament is a history book. It is some of what has happened in the world since its creation. To say that is based on Judaism isn't exactly correct.
