The group was lead to a section far enough away from the others that Aiden didn't feel threatened by their presence, hence the reason his usual invitation didn't arise in his posture. He still couldn't believe that this place was simply for eating, but Dorian had confirmed it with a small smile. Even Amy must have agreed because she hadn't said or done any of her shark impressions.

When a seat was pulled out he turned his head slightly and midnight orbs watched the brunette who was standing just to the side of it and making no move to sit. Confused he tipped his head so a slide of dark slide over his eyes before he realized that the other boy was waiting for him to take the offered seat. Blinking slowly he edged towards the seat, that thankfully had a wall at its back, and sat down. All the while he was watching Dorian for a reaction but all he got was movement around to the other side as the singer sat next to him.

The dark haired male ignored the menu that had been set down near him, running his fingers in a caress that was innocently seductive along the polished wood. The old man had a table like this, Aiden had slept his first night on it rather than the massive bed he'd been given. He liked the feel of the high polish better. Amy tapped something on her phone and only briefly touched the laminated paper they'd been handed. Dorian mean while had opened his and summer blue orbs were scanning it. Curiosity once more over rode his self-protection and he leaned slightly to the side and into the singer's personal space to see what he was doing.

"Will you pick?"he asked in his bedroom voice, smiling in full invitation as he read a few of the lines that were apparently in the paper Dorian was reading. They mostly had names he'd never heard of before and prices that were closer to what he usually charged an hour. Usually he just told Mario he wanted fish and potatoes and he got it...battered or grilled just depended on how much effort the Italian was willing to put into the food that day. They'd had a weird seasoning on the potatoes once that was really good. The chain manifested itself once more in Aiden's mouth as he ran it in soothing motions back and forth across his bottom lip as he leaned closer to Dorian until their shoulder's were touching so he could keep looking over the strange names.

When someone suddenly stopped near him, he tensed instantly, turning his head with the subtle transformation of his stance that shifted him back into full promise, his midnight orbs docile as the male glanced around the table, blinking slightly at Aiden in surprise and a little alarm.

"Good evening, my name is Robert, I'll be your waiter for the evening. Could I start you off with some appetizers and drinks?"He asked with faint traces of a southwest accent as he shifted slightly so his attention and position were much closer to Amy than the boy who had dropped his dark head to rest on the shoulder of the brunette at his side and was watching him with liquid sex in his eyes. Recognizing the pull away some of the invitation faded but his tense posture remained as Aiden failed to answer, because he had no idea what an appetizer was and he wasn't going to make any more contributions when he'd already gotten the meal he wanted. He wasn't going to ask for more.

Dorian was aware of Aiden’s movements without even having to look. If the boy had been radiating heat the singer couldn’t have been more conscious of his presence, a feeling that only increased as the slight distance between them closed. It would have been so easy for Dorian to simply move the menu over a little, offer it at a vantage point that would make it easy for both males to stay in their seats comfortably and be able to see the listing. But he didn’t. He didn’t move the menu an inch towards Aiden, only angled it slightly, letting the dark eyed male lean lightly against him as they both scanned the menu.

“If you’d like,” Dorian agreed automatically. He did his best to focus on the different kinds of fish, trying to decide which would be best to try. Probably something simple and well liked, nothing too strange or anything that depended on an acquired taste. Dorian remembered liking rainbow trout when he was younger and so settled on that. Fish down, he looked at the potatoes. Small red potatoes went well with fish didn’t they? At least they could try it out and if Aiden didn’t seem to care for them they could be exchanged. And knowing Aiden, he probably wouldn’t say a thing even if he hated them, which meant Dorian had an excuse to continue paying attention to him, trying to decipher body language and inscrutable flashes of emotion. The kinds that made his heartbeat a little too loud.

About that time the waiter arrived and Dorian turned, unaccountably pleased to see someone with an absence of lust in his eyes for once. Robert had earned himself a sizable tip with that. He tilted his head just a little, touching his cheek to the head resting on his shoulder. With the addition of the new man, Aiden didn’t seem inclined to speak so Dorian waited for Amy to order before adding a simple crab dip with crackers for an appetizer and two orders of rainbow trout with mixed vegetables and red potatoes.

“What do you want to drink?” he asked Aiden gently. “They’ve got sodas, lemonade, milk, tea…”

For himself he ordered a simple ice water with a twist of lemon. He didn’t catch what Amy wanted, attention back on Aiden the moment the man disappeared. He’d be back with the appetizer shortly. Dorian reached across the table to a small covered basket, pulling it aside to reveal fresh hot bread. Without bothering to ask he put a thick slice on a small plate and passed it to Aiden. Amy gave him a pointed look and Dorian sighed, taking one for himself as well. He tore off small pieces and ate slowly.

“How is it?” he asked, looking for some excuse to get the boy to talk again.

Aiden rubbed his cheek against the shoulder he was resting his head against when the brunette agreed to order for them, at his angle the edges of his inviting smile lifted closer to his true one at the instant agreement. He wasn't sure what he'd pay for this moment, but each second was making it more than worth it no matter what it was. After a point a person just passed out anyway, so this was more than worth whatever he'd have to take for it. The smile only widened to flash his teeth when he felt the brief touch of warmth against the top of his head as the two other people at the table ordered. He didn't know what a rainbow trout was, but he recognized potatoes. He really WAS getting his fish and potatoes wasn't he?

And then he was getting asked what he wanted to drink, Dorian naming off a few things of which one stood out. Lifting his head he turned to present wide, startled eyes towards the singer as he repeated the word that had caused such a reaction.

"Milk?"his purred voice reflected the emotion in his eyes. Milk was...expensive, very, very expensive. One time, after he'd gotten his leg broken, he's stayed for a bit with a really creepy old lady. He'd kept her happy the best way he knew how, and in return she'd let him stay and fed him. She gave her cats milk once a day and he'd gotten a glass once. It had been amazing, and the only time he'd tried it. He couldn't imagine a place fancy enough to be selling milk. Only he wasn't aware that Robert had taken his purred question as an order and was walking away with his notepad.

It took a minute before he shifted his gaze back to see the male gone, and he hadn't gotten to order a drink. Not that he probably would have anyway, he was already up to his neck in debt but as he'd though earlier, it was worth it. Dorain stretched across the table and pulled at a basket, revealing something warm inside that turned out to be bread. It was set lightly on his plate before Amy's look prompted a second slice being removed and slowly eaten by the brunette. Bread he was much more familiar with. He'd eaten that a lot of times in the past so it wasn't hard to mimic his usual style and break a piece off before eating it. Almost instantly, as he realized there was food available his posture shifted.

His body angled to keep the room in view, stopping between each bite and scanning the room with docile midnight blue orbs that didn't give away the wariness behind them. Like a dog jealously guarding its food bowl from anyone that might come. Despite breaking small pieces off Aiden finished the slice rapidly, leaving nothing behind that could be taken away as quickly as possible.

It as only Dorian's light question that slowed him down on the last two bites, as he flashed a smile of thanks. Some part of him honestly convinced for the moment that this was what he was getting, too used to the harsh reality of people promising one thing only to deliver another. Yet bread was fine, it was filling and stopped the stomach cramps. Add a little water and it could carry you through the day.

"It's good."he quickly answered behind the flash of his smile, finishing the last bite before the waiter had even gotten a chance to return with their drinks. His gaze glided over the bread but he was careful not to let any of the desire show in his expression, because that had gotten him reprimanded before and because Dorian genuinely seemed happy and Aiden wanted to keep it that way desperately.

And then a large plate was being set down in the center of the table and glasses appeared in front of each of them, Aiden's gaze locking on the brilliant white liquid in the cup in front of him, paused, caught between an urge to drink and a sudden worry that maybe it was TOO much for what he could give. Debts without any boundaries could be a danger and anything he desired that badly always cost him dearly. So instead he slide his gaze questioningly towards the brunette as Robert flashed a smile at Amy and asked if everything looked right. The blonde smiled and answered easily, holding his attention while Aiden sat rigidly in his chair caught between decisions.

Dorian grinned at the answer, his own bread only perhaps a quarter gone. He ate slowly and deliberately and had no trouble setting the remainder of the bread down once he saw that Aiden had finished, ignoring it. He’d eat if it helped Aiden eat and maybe even enough to keep Amy in a decent mood but that didn’t mean he had to stuff himself with bread. The posture Aiden adopted when eating was a little strange but there was nothing specifically wrong with it that Dorian could see so he didn’t comment, It was just a little more… coarse a feel than Aiden usually gave off, which wasn’t saying much since Aiden probably could have made making sand castles look like an ad for sex.

“Try this,” he coaxed as the large plate was set down in the middle of the table, small crackers fanned out around a shallow bowl of the red-yellow dip. He scooped a bit onto a cracker and passed it to Aiden before taking one himself. Amy absentmindedly took a cracker as well, her movements fluid and precise despite her eyes never rising from the phone. Dorian wasn’t concerned. When Amy was on task, he wasn’t even sure she remembered to sleep. Frankly her concern for his health bordered on the hypocritical at times. Though… she did always seem to work in some kind of regular meal through the day. Presumably she was just as careful with her sleep patterns even if he couldn’t see it. Crap. For a moment he’d thought he had a way to make her back off about it.

The dip was excellent and Dorian was rather pleased, gesturing for Aiden to take a second one if he liked it while Dorian continued his first. Lighter blue eyes continued to focus on the darker ones, his own enjoyment of the meal mostly stemming from watching Adien’s reaction to things. He glanced at the milk, remembering the way the other boy had asked for it, like it was some kind of wish. That seemed silly, but it had been there in his tone. And now he was ignoring it.

“You don’t have to save that,” Dorian pointed out. “They don’t charge for refills unless they’re specialty drinks. If you finish they’ll get you another one.” In truth, Dorian wasn’t entirely sure if that was true. Some places did charge for second drinks, but the lie was a small one and he was more than willing to pay for a second or third glass. It was just milk after all, not an expensive wine. There was nothing remarkable about it that he could see and the singer assumed it had been chosen for its familiarity. What child didn’t grow up without milk after all?

By the time the crackers were gone (Dorian continuing to insist Aiden could have as much of them as he liked and Amy occasionally helping herself to one) the food was ready. Identical plates were set in front of the boys while Amy had a pasta dish with shrimp. The food was still steaming, delicately arranged on the plate, the fish topped with a green garnish to accent the paler color of the flesh underneath. Even to Dorian, it smelled amazing and he took a bite before his eyes insisted on again straying to Aiden.

Midnight blue shifted from the glass of milk and towards the item being held out for him. It was a cracker that had been dipped in a thick material that clung to it desperately. At the demand his hand automatically came up and accepted the offering, shock rippling the placid centers of the dark, watching orbs as he wasn't used to people handing him food without having taken something from him first. His gaze then darting around like he could spot someone who would try and take it from him before the cracker vanished into his mouth as a whole.

It hardly seemed to have a second to actually touch his tastebud's but he smiled, pleased all the same before sliding his tongue out and chasing the taste around his lips. A gesture from Dorian had the gaze darting towards more offerings of the crackers, hesitating on taking one for fear of the retaliation but after a moment his hand darted out and snagged it fast enough to rival a magic trick. It too vanished down the path of the first as the brunette next to him told him that they didn't charge for refills and he didn't have to save the milk. Confusion played along the edges of his midnight orbs as it warred with the desire for the treat.

Finally his mind settled on the fact that for one he was going to owe for this entire meal anyway and for a second Dorian obviously wanted him to take the drink and he didn't want to disappoint. So, a lot more hesitantly than he'd done with the cracker, he reached for the drink and brought it to his lips. Tipping the glass he let the sweet and thick liquid slide down his throat with a purr, his eyes closing in enjoyment. He'd forgotten just how good it really tasted, cool and thick, carefully set it down to not down the entire thing in one desperate gulp before taking another cracker at Dorian's insistence.

The three of them managed to move through the whole plate and Aiden honestly thought that was the end of it, before a plat suddenly manifested in front of him. It looked NOTHING like the food at Mario's and his eyes widened as he lifted a fork and poked at the pale fish before picking up the green on top and turning it back and forth. When Dorian took the first bite of his food, Aiden glanced from the brunette to the green in his hand before taking a bite. Almost instantly he made a face before smoothing it out, he knew better than to act like he didn't enjoy something. So he carefully chewed the sour bit of greenery not noticing that Amy had stopped with a fork of pasta halfway to her lips to stare at him in a mix between surprise and amusement.

Dorian felt like he was experiencing everything for the first time vicariously through Aiden. It was fascinating to watch him react to even small things like the dip or the milk. Dorian still didn’t understand what the big deal about milk was but you’d have thought it was the finest wine from the way the dark haired boy savored it. Dorian was only fond of milk insofar as it filled you up easily without all the fuss of having to actually track down something edible. It was a good way to shut his stomach up when he was on a tight schedule or busy, but there was nothing remarkable in the flavor.

But whether he completely understood it or not was irrelevant. Dorian couldn’t help the smile on his face as Aiden downed the drink and appetizers. When the waiter came with their plates, Dorian motioned towards the now empty milk glass and took it away, returning perhaps a minute later with a fresh one. But by then Dorian was watching Aiden again even as he ate a bite or two of his own meal.

He bit his lip when Aiden went about eating the garnish. Every child tries the little plat at some point in their life so Dorian knew from experience that it didn’t exactly taste appetizing. From the momentary look on Aiden’s face, the other boy agreed with him. And yet there he was, still trying to eat it. He couldn’t be that hungry, not with a plate of actual food in front of him and half the appetizer already in his stomach.

“That’s for decoration,” he pointed out gently, torn between not embarrassing Aiden and laughing at the way he’d looked.“Just eat what you actually like, alright?” It was adorable and frustrating and Dorian had no idea what he was doing, let alone how to do it. He just wanted to see more of Aiden, have the dark haired male be honest with him, let him see those glimpses of his real self as he had before. But how was Dorian supposed to see that if the young male even lied with his movements, pretending to like or dislike things for obscure reasons Dorian couldn’t completely follow? Even if the effect was, frankly, cute.

For his part the singer picked at his food, eating the occasional bite and pushing the rest around on his plate in an attempt to make it look like he’d eaten more than he really had. At least the lemon water was cool and soothing. “Done? Or do you want something else?” he asked when it looked like Aiden was about finished. He held up one finger to forestall the predictable compliant answer.Honestly,” he added in a purred growl, fixing his lighter eyes on the other’s blue ones.

Aiden wasn't sure how to react when a SECOND glass of milk was set down in front of him, pausing in his chewing of the garnish to stare at it like someone had just offered him a diamond tiara and the throne of Russia. The shock helped a little with the taste of the greenery in his mouth before his gaze was torn away from the tempting white liquid and towards Dorian who was gently pointing out that he'd just eaten a decoration. He swallowed carefully and wiggled his tounge against the inside of his mouth to clear the taste, where the action couldn't be seen before his welcoming smile spread across his lips.

"I liked it."the lied reassurance tumbled off his lips easily, years of Pavlovian training stepping in to save him. He wasn't quite sure why anyone would put a DECORATION on perfectly good food but he'd managed to eat it so obviously it could be done. Then again, he'd eaten things that most people wouldn't. The midnight orbs dropped to head back to his own plate when he noticed that almost none of the food was missing from Dorian's plate as he simply pushed it around with the fork. Something hard to describe passed through the blue gaze as his eyes lifted towards Amy who was frowning at the plate as if trying to come up with something to say. Coming from a world where food was the most important thing, period. Aiden couldn't understand why there was anything left.

In a few minutes he could have finished off the whole plate, and usually would have...but the brunette wasn't eating. It worried the dark haired boy on a deeper level because not eating in his world meant death and illness. Something had to be wrong. His bottom lip sucked into his mouth and was chewed on a minute while Amy got distracted by the beeping of her phone. The singer had taken a drink and turned to look towards him. Aiden had just about finished his whole plate, because he never left food unattended for long where someone else could steal it from you, but his gaze was still filled with worry.

The brunette asked if he was done, if maybe he wanted something else, demanding with a growl that had the blue gaze falling half lidded as a shiver slid down his spine, that he tell the truth. Shifting attention from the plate towards the brunette Aiden slowly shook his head before cautiously reaching his fork out and spearing a piece of fish. He was moving slowly because it was asking to get hurt to try and take food from someone like him, even his submissive qualities vanished beneath the protective instincts over his plate.

When he didn't get attacked he lifted it and held it with a pleading and worried look taking over the usual open invitation of his expression. Blue orbs still docile, but silently begging as he held the offering in front of the other boy's lips. He didn't want Dorian not to eat, because it would mean he was hurt. Hurt was bad. So if he ate it would be alright. He wasn't sick.

"Please?"he sunk enough heat into his bedroom voice to have sunk an island, hoping to use the bits of attraction he could occasionally pull from the brunette to get him to accept the offering and actually eat more of his meal. Amy had stopped texting and was now openingly staring between the two boys with something moving behind her gaze. But she was well versed at keeping her thoughts to herself so it was hard to tell what it might have been.

Dorian let the claim about liking the taste of the garnish slide, resisting the urge to roll his eyes. There was no way Aiden had actually liked it, but that was a battle they didn’t need to fight at the moment. Predictably Aiden would relent or at least appear to relent and drop his gaze and Dorian would feel a bit like a bully for accusing him of deception over something so small. Granted, the little things like that needed to be fixed eventually. But maybe time, more than words, would help convince Aiden that he could say what he liked without consequences around Dorian. He was trying so hard not to frighten or push Aiden away but he couldn’t know what would do that until Aiden started talking. It was a vicious cycle and unfortunately not one Dorian had the power to break.

He occupied himself with arranging a few bits of fish in a patter similar to music notes, a few higher or lower as a new melody played in the back of his mind. He’d have to write it down later, but it was slow in coming. Most songs just sort of happened. They always needed editing and refining afterwards of course and sometimes it took months to make everything sound right before he even submitted it as a potential new song, but this one felt like it was lingering somewhere on the edge of his mind, unwilling to step out into the light.

He put it in the back of his mind as he asked Aiden if he was finished. The answer was no but brunette was amused to see Aiden move onto Dorian’s plate. The singer didn’t object in the slightest. If the food didn’t go to waste all the better and he assumed that Aiden planned to eat it himself. It was a perfect solution given he had no thought to finishing the dish. It was good, he just… didn’t feel like eating. His body was too used to the minimal amount he gave it to really want more.

His eyes widened a little when instead of disappearing the fork turned to hover in front of his own lips. His gaze moved past it to Aiden who looked... worried. Concerned. That silent entreaty could have melted a heart of stone and Dorian’s had already been suitably softened by similar looks from the dark haired male through the day. But it was the word that did him in. That single word. Who knew a syllable could be so powerful?

He didn’t seem Amy’s eyes narrow on them as he parted his lips and accepted the bite without argument. The blonde manager was looking distinctly calculating at that moment, gaze switching back to Aiden with something like reluctant respect or even gratitude. He was too busy keeping his eyes locked on Aiden. He probably wouldn’t have noticed if there’d been a spider speared at the end of that fork.

Aiden couldn't exactly describe the warmth that spread through his system when the summer blue orbs in front of him widened and then melted. It was like stepping from a cooler into the warmth of summer, starting from his chest and melting like butter through the rest of his system. When the other boy's mouth opened and he accepted the bite a smile bloomed across his face that had nothing to do with his usual one. It was like the sun coming up.

The dark haired boy's smile child-like delight and happiness on par with an electric wire. Because he'd eaten, so he wasn't hurt. Basic philosophy in Aiden's world. He didn't even pay attention to the rest of the world to notice that Amy was watching them with a look that he'd never had directed his way before. The pure happiness and pleasure drowned out everything else as the newly made model picked up another bite of food and held it up. For someone who guarded their food like treasure it was amazingly perfect to be feeding someone ELSE.

That might have been why he continued to move through the plate until he felt that it had been eaten far enough through. Unable to resist he leaned forward and brushed a kiss lightly against the other boy's lips which got Amy's feathers riled right up as he pulled back with midnight blue eyes shinning in something very close to adoration, although Aiden wasn't aware of it.

"Thank you."words he'd spoken a million times in the past and never really meant, but the bedroom voice had dipped slightly to show some of the warmth that was glowing from within. He hadn't been hit, he'd done good. For once, just once, maybe he'd done the right thing and made someone happy. It was tinted with a hint of fear too because he knew that this feeling would go away, he knew he'd face the darkness again so he was holding on to this moment and the feeling with everything he had.

"Come on, we'd better hurry, its getting late and you both still have homework."Amy suddenly interjected, snapping her phone closed and signaling to the waiter who brought the check over and accepted the credit card he was handed in return. Amy straightened her jacket while Aiden suddenly remembered there were other people in the room and his place in life and leaned back in his chair with his midnight gaze dropping to the floor as his hand lifted and brushed the silver necklace soothingly as he retreated behind the more familiar body language of open acceptance and promise.

Dorian couldn't take his eyes off that smile. He watched it with far more hunger than he'd shown towards the food. But it wasn't lust, want a need to slake the physical call of the body. It was a need to understand enough to help, a desire to respond somehow to the force that normally held that expression captive. He could help, he knew there had to be a way. Because that smile was far too beautiful to have been created for darkness.

He went through the actions of chewing and swallowing on reflex at first. He tasted the food and some part of him enjoyed the well prepared flavor but all that was behind a line of fog. He just didn't care to spend as much of his mind on that. Dorian did begin to notice when his shrunken stomach began to protest the amount of food but Dorian persisted. Because it was like a spell and the moment he stopped the spell would break and the smile would be locked away again.

The fork lowered for the final time and Dorian was both relieved and regretful. His stomach could barely figure out what to do with all the extra food. Then Aiden leaned forward and he felt the soft touch of lips, a small tormenting hint that reminded Dorian that he had to be careful not to become exactly what he wanted to protect Aiden from.

Don't look at me like that, he wanted to say, the words never making it past his lips. You make it so hard to protect you... If the rest of the world wanted the Aiden that they usually saw, Dorian wanted this one just as badly. It was a painful blessing when Amy interrupted and Aiden  became a mere physical temptation again. Bad, but certainly not irresistible.

The singer stood and lightly pulled Aiden's chair out, offering him the escort of an arm.

Aiden's passive stare at the high shine of the table was interrupted as the chair was pulled out under him, turning his head to stare with docile orbs at the brunette and then the arm being offered him. Amy was quickly signing the check that had been brought back to them while the waiter carefully stayed away from the dark haired boy who rose in a movement made of pure temptation and lightly settled his hand on the other boys as he stepped well within his personal boundary. More people where appearing and being seated but given the more casual nature of their appearance they were only attracting a few heads simply because Aiden was once more offering himself to the world and Dorian seemed to almost always command a room just by being in it.

Amy nodded sharply to something Robert said and left him with a tip before giving Dorian a look that suggested he better behave himself as she took the lead in taking the two boys back to the waiting limo. Aiden obediently followed the brunette's lead thanks to the link of their arms. His gaze once more sliding around only this time trying to absorb everything and lock it into his memory. It had been a magical and special moment and he knew those didn't get repeated. He still wasn't sure what he'd done to earn it in the first place or what price he'd have to pay. He wanted to remember it was worth it though so he absorbed everything he could with hungry midnight blue eyes before they were once more outside and back in the car.

Amy pulled out a calendar as Aiden hovered between wanting to touch Dorian and not sure if he'd be allowed to again, the shifts went fast enough he couldn't figure out the triggers for them yet, and finally opted to lean against the door with his head pressed against the glass and his side turned towards the brunette who drew far too much of his attention for his own safety. Midnight blue orbs closed as he pulled up the mental image of the restaurant and prepared to take the backlash for that when they got to the school.

Meanwhile Amy was busy telling Dorian the schedule they'd have to keep for the production of the music video to be on time and making him promise, again, that he'd practice. Aiden partially tuned it out as it was once more stuff he didn't understand. The rain against the rumble of the car was soothing and he relaxed into it and waited for the ride to be over, both apprehensive and expectant of what was to come.

Dorian barely noticed the looks the two of them got. He noted it in the back of his mind but over the years you sort of learned to tune it out, like elevator music that followed you around. He only paid attention to such things if he wanted to encourage it, some place where the spotlight was supposed to be on him like a performance or interview, not when he was having a private dinner with a manager and friend. He smiled politely at Amy when she shot a look at him, well aware that would drive her crazy. But she wasn’t exactly in a position to confront him, not in public and probably not in front of Aiden (that would wear off as they all spent more time together) so he was safe for the moment. He highly expected a phone call later that night or the next day though. The singer hardly minded putting that lecture off.

He slid into the car, focusing his attention on Amy. “…already spoken to the principal. You’ll need to take any tests on this day and this day early so you can miss classes. The team is coordinating around your school schedule but the recording studio will be in use…” Part of Dorian really was paying attention. He pulled out his phone and entered a few key dates that were far enough in the future to warrant forgetting. But the entire time he was aware of the body leaning away towards the door. Aiden almost looked asleep and Dorian wanted to pull him away from the hard material of the door, keep the smaller boy against him.

He made a note to be sure to help Aiden deposit the check before too long. Dorian had access to a car pretty much any time he wanted one and Aiden didn’t. That was just part of protecting him, wasn’t it? You couldn’t have a smaller young man wandering town with that automatic invitation and a pocketful of cash. That was just asking for trouble. And if Dorian had a bit of an ulterior motive and liked the idea of taking a ride with Aiden sans Amy’s disapproving stare, that was just a side benefit.

When the car stopped Dorian slid the phone back into his pocket. The door opened and long legs unfolded into the rain as he pulled himself out. It took only seconds for the brown hair to plaster to his cheeks and neck. “Quick,” he beconed Aiden, laughter in his voice. “The lights still don’t seem to be on. I’ll walk you back to your dorm.”
