this in particular caught my attention....

In the fall of 1993, one of the undergraduate students in my 'Women and Culture' course was totally flabbergasted to discover that the biological function of women's breasts was for feeding children. With obvious shock and disgust evident in her voice she asked, 'You mean women's breasts are like a cow's udder?' That a young woman could reach college without ever having even heard of women using their breasts to feed their children is a sad commentary on American culture.
i was unaware that the actual use of the female Breast was being forgotten in america, and it makes me fear that the patriarchal and gender-role-based society we are living in far more extreme than i thought....
though it also makes me just have to question the credibility of this poster, for fear that it isn't one of those "men are evil" types of women blogging anti-man propaganda...
sweatdrop it does have alot of evidence of it in there... >.>
anywho, i for one support the Civil Rights of Breastfeeding Mothers, there is no reason for people to think that it is obscene to Breastfeed.
confused it's not like the act of Breastfeeding is sexual by nature.
though at the same time i don't see a problem with Breasts being viewed as a Sexual object either.
talk2hand to try to unsexualize the Breast seems extreme and even cruel.
neutral Respect for someone's Intelligence and Cunning and Wisdom, and Physical Attraction to them as Objectified Pieces of Meat, are NOT mutually exclusive! -.- i'm more than capable of simultaneously acknowledging and respecting someone's great mind and still thinking that they are a FINE piece of Grade A a** that i'd
totally tap if i had the chance!
and why not? what's so wrong with have sexual opinions of people, or certain parts of their body?
i honestly think that whoever this woman is, has a huge stick up her butt that she needs to get rid of. she is generalizing all men and women, and i think it is unfair and misinformed.
