He nodded to her comment and relaxed on the rock. He figured that she would want to stay a while, otherwise her armor and boots wouldn't have come off so easily. He tried not to let his head suggest he was looking at her, but to his good fortune his eyes were not visible. He felt in the wrong for watching her, but he somehow couldn't help it. Even in her fox body, she was just all the more attractive to him, despite how he wouldn't let on that she was...unless if she had that little crossbow pointed at him that was.

It was hard, after so many years of having a hundred duties at a time before tasking and missions....and now left with absolutely nothing. There was a moment in her washing that she paused, looking at her face as the fur matted together from the water. What was she going to do with herself, already she was starting to feel the itch to do something....but had nothing on her plate.
Just below the surface she could see a few minnows flittering around the slow moving pockets, and as she stood she tucked some of her hair behind her ears which was easier said than done in this body. "Are there places for easy resources for food, or are we really roughing it out here?" She turned her head and looked back to him, yet it seemed he was off looking into space.

His head slowly worked down to her level, although his gaze having not really left her at all. Already he could tell she was feeling the tight leather itch, and even thinking about it reminded him that he was itchy too...and lord knows how long it had been since he last took it off, cleaned it and cleaned himself. It made him shudder to think of how much of a mess he had left himself get into.
His attention was quickly drawn to her question, and he pondered on it for a moment. Although there was food at the shop, he always felt bad on taking some, even though it was free to everyone. Apart from that, he had been roughing it as he was more taught to do so. He flipped out that handy communicator once more, this time taking it off his wrist after typing and throwing it to her, hoping she would catch it.
The message read:
There is a 'shop' where they have food free for all who visit, but I always feel bad in taking it. But there are plenty of edible things out here, so not too hard to find food

Scrubbing her tail clean of the dirt that had collected from not lifting it as she walked, she was surprised the amount which had matted on there from such a short time having it. I will need to remember to focus and lift, or else i'll have to do this every day... Scarlett reminded herself, looking up when Snake had thrown it to her....luckily catching it since hearing that toss with these huge ears. "You're lucky i'm already used to listening for you, Snake..." She half heartedly scolded before looking down to the message and tossing it back.
"I agree, no need to make association there, besides...who knows if there is any kind of spies here from Cobra if they were somewhat aware of this place." She didn't like the risk factor, and was more than happy to rough it out like Snake had been doing.
Giving a quick rub down of some dirty spots on her suit she stepped out of the water and shook off to the best of her ability. Slipping her boots back in the vixen felt much better, smiling back to her companion, "Are you coming with me?"

He averted his gaze. Afraid she would start stripping down into whatever, without warning, he found it best to just let the girl wash, currently her tail, in some respect of privacy. He had no troubles of locating the device as it was being thrown back and easily caught it, listening to her words to follow it's return
Cobra Spies? I had never thought to look for them..I doubt they would be here though..I haven't seen them at all since I got here he thought to himself, soon hearing the splashing of water as to his ears she was getting out of the water. He turned to look over his shoulder in time to catch the smile. What choice did he have now? Travel alone, or wander around with another Joe...he made no hesitation to nod in reply and jump down from his perch, awaiting her orders

Beaming as he motioned to come with her by jumping down off the rock, Scarlett nodded happily as she set off in the unknown trail. She could smell many a thing with her nose but to the extent of knowing what scent was which would take some work. Currently overpowered by the smell of the forest pine and summer grass, her ears twitched amongst her long firey locks...obviously trying to make quick work of getting used to this body which would in the end just take time.
Something sweet trailed past her nose as she stopped, looking around for the source. Darn it Scarlett, get it together! She thought, her small nose twitching gently with each sniff as her direction turned...hoping she was going the right way towards the delicious scent.

With no command given, or for that matter any words, Scarlett started to walk forward, leaving Snake to wonder what she was up to. He followed along behind her until he heard the familiar sound of someone sniffing the air. Soon discovering it was the vixen, he frowned and raised an eyebrow, knowing his confused gesture was likely to go unnoticed.
He watched as she suddenly veered off heading towards whatever scent she had caught on. Confused still, he trailed after her wondering what exactly it was she was tracking

Turning her head back to Snake to announce her findings, she tilted her own head to notice his posture was a little off. While to most it wouldn't have raised any kind of bells other than he wasn't holding himself upright, she immediately picked up on it. Still got it, at least... She thought with a small smile tracing on her lips, and took comfort that other than outer appearances he hadn't changed much.
"Do you smell that? It smells like fruit, i'm not sure i'm following it though..." Scarlett admitted and raised a paw to do a lazy circle in the air; pawing the small breeze she could feel which had carried the scent.
"Smells.....like peaches, or nectarines...." Tapping her chin, she wasn't sure which it was; it had been such a while since she'd eaten either of the fruit in question.

Seeing the smile slip onto her face, he only had to wonder what she was thinking now? How she confused him so, but somehow he always managed..somehow
When she directed a question towards him, he remained motionless for a moment as the gears turned in his head. Granted he could not smell inside of his mask...but he had never used his new nose either. He figured as he might as well try, removing the visor and soon the mask itself to sniff the air, soon buzzed by all the smells going through his nose.
He closed his eyes and took one good sniff, soon pinpointing almost exactly where the smell was coming from and pointed to a peach tree that was barely visible through the foliage
