Secret Training Area!
This is the special grounds that the members of Squad 8 can use to get more powerful. You get to when you go through the actual training grounds to the small meditating room. If you hit a switch a panel will open up to reveal a long staircase. At the bottom is where the secret training grounds are. The panel will only open for those in the Squad. No other squad can go down in the secret training area.
The grounds themselves have multiple terrains due to the fact that this is a huge underground area. There is a water terrain, a mountain type terrain, a grass terrain, and a desert type terrain.
The main terrain that is the largest is probably the mountain type terrain. The terrain has large cliffs and coves to hide in. Perfect for ambush attacks and rounds. The cliffs have multiple types of rocks in them. So react to different elements and help out those who try and use them to their fullest. There are even some areas that explode by hitting the section of the rock that is delicate to the process. The next largest area would have to be the grass terrain. This terrain is basically for all out fights. Just using everything and anything to fight again the opponent. The grass is very easy to move on so it allows for quick movements and powerful stands on them. The desert area and the water area are probably the same size. The desert is a hot area that is filled with sand. Some areas even have quicksand that pulls in a lot of space and is never in the same spot every time. There are some dunes in the sand that allow for some hiding areas but most of the time the sand area is for endurance. And for quickening your speed so you don't get pulled down the quicksand.
Finally the water terrain. Mainly this is used to help someone with kido. There is a large waterfall for endurance testing as well but the waterfall is also rigged up to shoot powerful water attacks at people. So it helps with speed and counter attacking. Though there is a section of the water terrain that has healing abilities and such so people can relax there and heal up before heading back and training more.

⊰♌⊱ Walking down the long stair case, Ash immediately felt at home down underground. She didn't know why. She just liked the feeling of being under here. Of course the area under her squad was huge with a bunch of terrains. Most of which wouldn't really help her Zanpakuto. She made a mental note to try and add another terrain somehow. She finally made it down to the bottom of the stairs and sat down on a rock that was near the area. Waiting for Masaki to follow her down and see the awesome training area she had made.
The grounds had taken awhile. But Ash thought it was worth it. After all, what better way for her fellow squad members to try and achieve higher statuses. Then again. If they all try and reach too high then she might have a problem. Wait a sec. She was getting ahead of herself. First she had to get more squad members. Which would take awhile. Yet again Ash felt the need to sigh. Things were always weird like this. And another thing. If the other Shinigami who are trying for a squad see her, what will they think? After all, she has blood red hair and icy blue chilling eyes that most people don't even like. "Great. That made me feel loads better." She shook her head. She had to look at the bright side. And also learn to stop talking to herself in her head. It was really beginning to creep her out.⊰♌⊱ ▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁

Masaki bounded down the steps, catching up to his captain. "Hey captain Ash, what exactly is this big secret of ours?" He didn't have to wait long for an answer. His eyes widened. "Whoa,"
But he only let his surprise show for a brief second. After all, he couldn't have his boss thinking he was easily impressed (even though he was indeed impressed) could he? Perish the thought!
"This looks like a really good place to let loose with your zanpakuto," He realized. "Or just a really great place in general. To fight, relax, sit, talk. Confess," He elbowed her slightly. "Bet that happens here all the time, right? Right?"

She noticed the surprise in his face and was actually a bit happy that he thought it was impressive. Ash smiled. She then sighed. "Masaki. You don't have to surpress your true emotions and stuff just to impress me. That just makes me feel a bit upset. Plus it might make me think that you're just uptight. And I'm actually pretty sure that you aren't. So if you're surprised, and I know you are, then feel free to show it. Be yourself." She told him calmly. She then listened to what else he had to say. Rolling her eyes at the end of it. "Oh yeah, I'm sure. Just like people usually always come here for a manicure and pedicure." She murmured coldly. She shook her head. "Just so you know. You're one of the first few I'm showing this too. I just finished making it the other day." She explained to him.
After a moment of letting him have it sink in, she motioned for him to follow her. She disappeared and then reappeared at a mountainy area. Standing on one of the cliffs. She reached her right hand up to her shoulder and her left hand to the back of her waist. Slowly, she pulled out both of her Zanpakuto. The red gleam on them with white running down every now and then. Ash maneuvered them efficiently. Making practice swings. "Weasel. Let's spar. It'd be fun. Plus this way. We can get used to fighting with, around or against each other." She told him calmly. She smiled and waited for his answer.⊰♌⊱

Masaki smiled. "Okay, no hiding my emotions." Except of course for the obvious exception. Yeah. That one. He disappeared and reappeared on a cliff opposite hers, so they were facing each other from a distance. "I'm guessing we're going to have to fight around each other a lot. Which is good. I know I'm just a lieutenant, so I'll be providing backup. But how much backup depends on how good I am."
He slowly unsheathed his zanpakuto. the light caught it at just the right angle, making it shine. Masaki rolled his eyes. That would probably boost its ego just a bit. He moved it around his hand and spun it just a bit. He then gripped the hilt tightly.
"Ready when you are, Cap'n! I've got a lot of moves to show off and I'm sure you have even more!" He pointed his sword at Ash. "Let's go!"

She was going to like this. She leaped up into the air and managed to appear on the other side of him within seconds. But for now, she was mainly fenting. Seeing where he would react. Just testing what he does and doesn't do. Not really caring about his strength at the moment. But then again, maybe she should be focusing on that. Mentally shrugging, she moved back and forth around him. Doing playful jabs but not really going for a strike. Finally, she decided to stop though. No more tormenting him. She shifted her blades so they pointed behind her. "Sorry about the little run about show. Just wanted to know how fast you would be. But then again. That part doesn't really matter, does it?" She told him. She then tilted her head. "Go into Shikai." She told him.
"Sting and Freeze. Tsumetai Dokuja." Ash breathed to the twin swords in her hands. A cold air blasted outwards from Ash and the two blades and ice particles and a misty haze surrounded her. It then began to spin and then shoot outward. Sending cold blowing blasts at Masaki. Finally, Ash appeared again. Holding twin swords, one of which had an ice white blade. The other, had a dark green color to it. A long white cloth ran from each hilt and connected. Ash looked at Masaki. "I have a few things to warn you about my Zanpakuto." She told him. She flipped a sword up and caught it with her other hand. She then held up one finger. "First, its not like me at all." She held up another finger. "Second. Try not to get hit by all of the attacks." Another finger. Third. My Zanpakuto has two elements." Fourth finger."It can freeze you if you're weaker than me. Or just slow you down if you're the same level as me or higher." Final finger. "Last thing. You do not want the effects of the second element." She told him. She then swung one blade forward and the other reacted and went flying into her other hand. Both blades emitted a cold air about them. Chilling to the bone.⊰♌⊱ ▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁

He smiled as Ash flew around him, faking him out. Instead of attacking or blocking, Masaki put all of his weight on his left heel and spun around with each movement to keep Ash in his sights. He wasn't worried. She probably wouldn't hurt him. Yet.
Masaki's eyes narrowed as the blasts of cold flew at him. He gripped his sword hilt very tightly. Now he was going to see Ash's abilities. Now he could show off, if only a little. Time to impress a girl, he thought jokingly.
He swung his sword back. "Show your fangs!"
With a powerful burst of energy, Masaki swung his sword forward! The blasts of cold hit something! Dust was kicked up from the ground, temporarily blocking the view. A sharp sickle flew out of the dust and stabbed the ground several yards away. It was connected to a chain that hooked all the way back to a handle in Masaki's hand. He smiled.
"Itatsi."
The wind created from his zanpakuto's initial release shot the blasts of cold to the side. He grinned. "I've only got one type, wind. But I like it. Maybe I can blow away some of your attacks. But you've probably got a defense for that."
Masaki pulled on the handle. The sickle flew to his side and he caught it in his free hand as the chain wrapped around his arm. "I want to see everything you can do, even if I can't. Curiosity never killed a weasel."

Apparently he could keep up. And also knew when she was serious and when she wasn't. That was important to her. If she couldn't trust her Lieutenant to allow her to do some things, they'd never get along well. Which wouldn't be a really good thing. Still. Things could be different. But she didn't feel like elaborating to herself about that. So, she watched and listened as Masaki showed his Shikai to her.
Raising her eyebrow, Ash took two steps back. The second, made her fall right off the cliff she was standing on. Not really concerned. She let herself fall until she was almost to the ground. She stuck her blade out and instantly, ice grew outward and spread like wild fire. Covering most of the plain. Making it hard to move on. And allowing Ash to have the advantage in the fight. Reaching the ground, Ash tapped her foot down lightly on the ice and leaped up back onto the cliff she had been on. Her body moved swiftly and effieciently on the ice. When she got to the top, she watched as the ice she had created began to effect the cliff Masaki was standing on. Smiling, Ash raised her white bladed Zanpakuto. "You can't see everything. My Bankai might kill you. So no Bankai for you. And you're right. This attack I'm about to use. Is kinda hard to blow away with wind. Be warned. One small slip on this lovely iceland, and it'll probably be the end of you. Just watch what happens to the attack if it hits or misses you." She told him calmly. She then pointed her blade at Masaki. "Touketsu Hari" Ash murmured under her breath. Making sure Masaki couldn't hear her. Ice particles danced around her, then began to shift and take form into senbon like needles. At first they were white, then, they became a darker color in the center. Half were like that. The other half were still pure white. With the waive of Ash's white sword, the senbon needles shot straight towards Masaki. Ash watch, curious about what Masaki would do.⊰♌⊱ ▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁

Masaki smiled. He gripped both Itatsi's short and long range handles tightly and made himself focus. The needles were different colors. That one piece on information made it through to his brain cells in the time it took the attack to arrive. He knew one of his attacks could deflect it, but it was powerful and took a long time to conjure up. Itatsi was a little lazy when it came to doing anything big.
That was okay. He knew something quick and effective that would work just as well. He shifted his weight over to his right leg and let go of the long range handle. Masaki held his pal flat out. "Hado 58,"
He waited until a split second before the needles were close enough. "Tenran!"
A swirling blast of wind flew from his palm and scattered needle in all directions! Masaki took this chance to counter strike. Itatsi wanted to play.
The sickle chain unraveled itself from around his arm and floated all around him. Masaki pulled his arm back and swung the long sickle chain forward!
"Itachi Hitonomi!"
The sickle chain flew forward! Wind gathered around the blade to make it bigger and sharper! True to its name, weasel bite was both a quick and efficient yet playful move he could use regularly.

The ice shattered and the dark stuff that was in the ice fell onto the cliff and began to sizzle and burn through parts of the icy cliff. Ash smiled. Moving her foot slightly, the ice helped her and soon, she was sliding around on it. Moving swiftly and slipping from the top of the cliff and heading down. Only to reach the bottom and slide all the way to the top of the cliff Masaki was on. Ash stuck her blade in the ground right in front of Masaki and soon, ice began to pile around it. Shooting outward and upward. With the flick of the blade, the ice came crashing down and flying outward. At both Ash and Masaki. Leaping backward, Ash pointed the white blade towards the ice coming at her and it dicipated on the spot. Not even touching her. She smiled. And then raised her green blade.
"Gaidoku Hebi Yousei" Ash murmured. She actually didn't want to use this attack at the moment. After all, it kinda wouldn't be right. Plus, its unfair to use attacks like this on her Lieutenant. But he wanted to see what she could do. So he was going to get what he wants.
Almost immediately, green glowing balls of what looked like energy appeared. Though in reality, they were actually small fairies. In total, about ten of them appeared and when they moved, they left a small trail of green dust following them. Ash made them halt instead of attacking right away. "Hey Masaki. What do you think? White and green. Got any idea what the second element is yet?" She asked him. But even before he answered, Ash snapped her fingers and the fairies dashed forward. Moving swiftly and since they were small, they were utterly hard to see.⊰♌⊱ ▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁

“Descend from the Heavens, Arashikaze.” A voice echoed through the hidden training area, originating from where the bottom of the stairs that lead down into the room. Following that release was a wild gust of wind that swept through a portion of the incredibly large underground training room, the gust would’ve even been felt by the Taichou and her Fuku-taichou who had been training together. Moving a few steps forward, with his Zanpaku-to shikai in hand, a straight sword with a slightly winged hilt, he looked around at the entire area, impressed but effectively hiding his emotions behind a mask of stoicism that rarely shattered. His outfit was that of a regular Shinigamis, despite the Captain-leveled reiatsu that he emanated there was no white haori adorning his shoulders.
How did this man, standing around 5’6”, even arrive into this secret training grounds belonging to the Hachibantai? Well, there’s no need for the likes of you to worry about the business of the Zero Division and their range of access in Seireitei. A Hell Butterfly flew nearby after him as he walked until he was sure the two Shinigamis training could hear him, although they were sure to have felt his reiatsu, especially after he released his Shikai. “I apologize for this intrusion, Karvash-taichou.” He stated formally as he walked towards where the two were sparring, training with their Zanpaku-tos. Extending Arashikaze one handed to his right, he resealed his Shikai, causing the wind it had released earlier to come rushing back into it, wrapping around the blade and dissipating, revealing a wakizashi, which the man then sheathed in the scabbard on his left side.
“Hamada Kaiten, Zero Division.” The former Third Division Taichou, promoted into the ranks of the Zero Squad hundreds of years ago, introduced himself as he regarded the two. The fuku-taichou among them also had a wind-based Zanpaku-to, it seemed. Kaiten wondered how well it compared to Arashikaze, he wouldn’t go as far as saying that his Zanpaku-to was the strongest wind-based one, but Arashikaze, full of pride, insisted that she indeed was. The Taichou’s Zanpaku-to sure was interesting too, it seemed ice based, along with some mystery element. Yes, Seireitei fared well enough in his absence, no surprise there. He was glad he had the chance, even if it was brief, to return here and survey the situation. While the current one wasn’t good, these new Shinigamis were more than strong enough to face the challenges.
“A directive straight from the Soul King, due to the presence of multiple reiatsu signatures in the Human World, he has ordered the Captain and Vice-Captain of the Eighth Squad investigate the situation.” Kaiten paraphrased the order from the Soul King, who had noted a lack of activity on the part of Soul Society to respond to this threat that had appeared in the Human World. Kaiten’s presence should’ve been enough to suggest such a thing, it was very rare, even unheard of, for a Zero Division member to come into Soul Society after they had left to begin their duties to protect the Royal Family. Unsheathing his Zanpaku-to in a flash, he drew a perfect circle in the air, leaving a white outline that soon revealed itself as an open Senkaimon. The Hell Butterfly that had followed him left his side and fluttered over to that of the Captain’s. “Good luck, Taichou, Fuku-taichou.” Kaiten said as he returned his wakizashi back to its scabbard before a series of Shunpo brought him out of the room and, presumably, back to his duties to guard the Royal Family as his reiatsu disappeared from Soul Society.

She then nodded to him. "I understand. I will obey." She told him. She then looked at Masaki. "I guess we're done for now." She told him, sealing her Zanpakuto. All of the ice in the area then dissipated and turned to water before disappearing completely. She then nodded to Masaki before heading up the stairs.

The weasel is the only creature capable of killing the basilisk Some say at the expense of it's own life Some say it emerges triumphant and living
Masaki sheathed his sword, returning it to it's shikai mode. He nodded. A visit from a strange man he had never seen before. He would have to ask captain Ash about his significance. What Masaki had noticed was that he had a wind based zanpakuto. He smiled. Itatsi seemed giddy and eager to play with it.
"Sorry captain. I was looking forward to seeing how far I could push you. But maybe later we can pick this up?"
Masaki sighed and headed up the stairs, following his red haired captain.
