((Thanks~ I hope to help with ironing out any bugs ^^))
Kaida immediately had a response on her lips, but she hesitated to give it. The way the stranger talked about her sword rusting made her feel uneasy. The Tigress had taken her words a little too literally for her liking. Kaida wondered what this something 'different' this stranger could possibly be referring to, but came up empty-handed as for guesses. Almost too easily, she leveled her gaze, in return, at the Tigress.
"Kaida," was her simple and curt response. A name for a name was usually fair, but in this instance, Kaida really wasn't sure she wanted to ask. Something about this female set her off, and it most definitely wasn't her primal appearance. Indeed, it was her likeness - once this realization dawned upon Kaida, she smiled brightly. One could probably easily mistake the smile as a smile of relief - perhaps, at the thought of having somebody to mend wounds at the end of the sparring match. Speaking of which, the stranger in the stands made her feel somewhat tense, despite sensing no viable threat from the man. Even though her attention remained on the Tigress, she played around with idle thoughts as to why her 'hunches' were telling to stay far, far away from Jack, who she had never met before.

Guyy gave Kaida a warm smile as she was studied by the elegant lady in detail. He knew her gazes could be unsettling to some people, as if she was looking right into their heart and studying their very soul. It bothered some, and not others. Kaida at least seemed mostly unshaken by the Lady Shinigami's interest in her and he took that as a good sign. He smirked and glanced up at Jack who was struggling to turn his shirt around without taking it off. "A healer might be most useful. Particularly one of Jack's nature if I am to face our lovely Aya at any point." Guyy laughed lightly, watching the Ice Queen interact a little with his robotic daughter. Jack would be vital in warming him up should Aya's icy magic form him into a state of dormancy. Hopefully he could hold off a little before then. "Barbecue? Dear lady I swear you can read minds, you know." Guyy laughed, following Aya and Ilia over towards the seats while Kaori chatted with their new recruit. It looked like they would be hitting it off quite well.
Ilia-B would have smiled up at Aya when she patted her arm, if not for the fact this body was expressionless. All the same she looked up and giggled a little. Clearly the little bot was cheerful, despite missing one of her dearest friends. She knew they'd see each other again, and then Ilia would get to play big cousin too. She stood up straight, towering over everyone present as she attempted to delicately sit in one of the chairs nearby, without much success. The battle body was simply not made for such mundane actions. "I can't wait!" She giggled as she attempted to carefully lift a stick of meat from the basket. She held it up and sniffed at it with her sensors. And then stared at it with some amount of confusion.
Jack meanwhile had managed to straighten himself up and was trying to cool his blush a little as he headed down towards the group from the stands. He respectfully stood a short distance away from Aya as he tried to rein in his natural reaction to embarrassment. The food did smell very good. While he waited he turned and glanced at the blond DJ, half naked near Kaori. That really did not help the situation much as he grinned sweetly and ended up warming the air around him more. He muttered a little apology to Aya and stepped back a bit further. "I didn't think there'd be so many people down here." He remarked casually to anyone who was listening. Guyy gave him a pat on the shoulder as he passed him by. "Looks like we're going to be in for a very interesting battle." The Snakeman replied with a grin. "Glad to have you around." Jack gave him a nod and a smile before going to inspect Raven, just in case there were any small injuries Kaori had missed. Not that she ever missed any.
Guyy lifted a can of cola from Aya's basket, as well as a stick of the deliciously prepared meat she had provided. He sat a few seats away from her, happily devouring her thoughtful gift. "Thank you Aya. Excellent as always." He said gratefully to his elegant friend. Ilia-B tugged on his sleeve and he looke dup at her curiously. "Yes dear?" "Daddy... I don't... I don't have a mouth..."

"Hm.. Little Dragon." The snowy haired lady responded when Kaida gave her name, for some reason, she felt it suited the young woman perfectly. It was a little ironic, considering the tigress' personal history with dragons, it actually put a soft smile on her lips, just before she made her exchange, as proper etiquette calls for where introductions were involved. "I've been called many things, but around here they call me Kaori. Even though they tend to play with formalities or pet names now and then." she mentioned as she looked over to the group gathering around the basket of goodies and starting to dig in, her attention seemed to be diverted, casually so. Despite watching the group from a short distance away, the tigress still addressed Kaida.
"I'm sure that some clan members will feel daunting upon first encounters but you can be assured that among us, you are indeed at home and safe. As time goes by you will see that we all make allowances for quirks to keep each other in as much comfort as possible, ultimately, we are stronger as a group because of the variety we have gathered and together we've made a place where we all fit in." she was sure that Guyy had probably mentioned something along those lines at some point during the recruiting process but it was always good to hear the same thing mentioned by other people as well. Considering the nature of the clan, advice like that was just a normal part of the welcoming process. "If you have any concerns, let us know and we will accommodate you as best we can at all times and be prepared to also make accommodations for any of the clan that may need you to do so for their comfort." she turned back to the new arrival with that same soft, agreeable smile.
"Let us join the others, I could use a light lunch and by then we will have this training session organized. And by all means, help yourself to a bite to eat as well." she finished with invitation, planning on falling in step beside Kaida if she accepted and if she ended up moving off towards the group. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Character Name: Kaori Yukiko Title: Shinigami Senior Level 5 Health: 8,000 Energy: 5400.5

"Yeah, they all showed up after that text." Raven lifted a hand behind his head a little sullenly, as though he silently blamed himself for not informing Jack well enough. He got close enough to Aya to reach and secure a couple of bar-b-q sticks to snack on. "Thanks." he lifted his claimed prizes and dipped his head in a shallow nod of appreciation before retreating a bit off to the side finding an empty place to sit while eating.
The blond had anticipated Jack's fussing and fended the poor red-head off by presenting him one of the bar-b-q sticks head on. "Here. Eat." he told him with a smirk on his lips, using the food as a shield between potential bruises (only dirt marks) and Jack's prying fingers. Don't get the DJ wrong, he was glad, nay relieved to have Jack around, but at some point he knew he was going to have to give in and let Jack fuss until he was satisfied that he wasn't scratched. For now... Raven was going to play difficult and have a good time of doing it too. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Character Name: Raven Title: Shinigami Clan Member Level 4 Health: 5000 Energy: 3000

"Barbecue? Dear lady I swear you can read minds, you know.""Not exactly," Aya said with a small smile as she grabbed a can of Sprite. She inspected the drink for a few moments, avidly staring at the droplets of icy cold water drip slide down the metal can before dropping to the floor. In her mind, she was wondering what Kaori was going to plan in relation to their sparring session. Would it be a one on one or perhaps the whole group and one Shinigami leader against two Shinigami leaders. Smirking at the thought, Aya sat down on one of the empty chairs. Her eyes darted to the side however when she felt Jack's temperature rising. And when he said a little sorry to her, she nodded and resumed staring at her drink.
She'd wait until everyone was relaxing before she threw her suggestion down on the table for people to pick and prod at."Thank you Aya. Excellent as always."
"Thanks.""You are welcome," she said, replying to both thanks before she turned to look at Ilia and her...problem. Oh yes. This version of Ilia didn't have a mouth. Suppressing another smirk, Aya stared at Guyy, wondering what the Master Shinigami was going to do in the face of such opposition. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Kaida was surprised that the Tigress knew about the meaning behind her name. However, she was very grateful that the Tigress continued to talk, allowing Kaida to formulate a proper response to all but the subject of names. Anything but the name.
"Thank you, for your words of welcome... Kaori," she responded agreeably. She was truly grateful for them, not only because they diverted attention away from her inner self, but also because they were indeed rather refreshing to hear. Almost immediately, she felt more at ease at the mention of food. However, if they planned to spar, she wasn't sure she should eat anything.
"Usually, food shouldn't be partaken before physical excercise..." she trailed off slightly, obviously unsure of herself, her gaze already fixated on the picnic basket. Others were obviously taking their share of food. They surely would have thought of something as simple as that already... were they perhaps immune to such effects? Kaida returned her gaze to Kaori. If she eats, then I will eat, Kaida resolved to herself. "I'm sure a light snack can't hurt," she said rather casually as she started towards the Ice Queen and her picnic basket.
Almost immediately after realizing that Kaori had fallen in step next to her, Kaida wanted something to talk about - anything but names, but that didn't help her come up with a topic. She chose to focus on their destination - the picnic basket, in a bit of a desperate attempt to ignore the almost deafening silence that had formed from the lack of a conversation. When she got to the picnic basket, Kaida finally let go of her side in order to grab an orange. She hadn't even realized she had held it. With a slight frown, she peeled at the orange somewhat violently. Stupid orange, she thought angrily at the orange, only to get an unwelcome voice in her head as a response.
Blaming inanimate objects again, Kai? And here I thought you had grown out of that... That's when realization struck her - Kaori had known the meaning behind her name, but Kaida knew not of the meaning behind Kaori's. It had come down to the problem of names again. Somehow, she got a sinking feeling in her stomach that told her this wouldn't be the last time she would have this problem.

Jack smiled up at Raven as he sullenly admitted there were more people than he mentioned. The little redhead hardly blamed the DJ for it, these things happened. Especially around here. As Raven got closer to Aya, Jack had to pause a few steps away, giving the blond some relief from his fussing ways. he would have picked them right back up again if not for the fact that Raven wisely distracted him with the food he had been unable to reach. He sat on the far side of his companion and nibbled on the meat with content noises.
"This is good." He beamed cheerfully, though every so often his glance would waver from his food to raven's skin, seeking out any sign of marking, scratching, bruising... anything at all. He was actually bold enough to attempt to raise his fingers to a couple of marks, only to find they were just smudges. It was reassuring, and who didn't like to touch Raven?
"Close enough for me!" Guyy chuckled at Aya's response as he tucked into the snacks. He kept a couple of senses on Kaori and Kaida, wondering if the latter would use that remarkable weapon of hers. And whether it would serve her well in such powerful company. He had no doubt there was more skill to her than was obvious, and judging by Kaori's calm acceptance of her she could tell that much too. Few had a finer eye for new recruits than the tigress herself.
His attention was drawn by the forlorn robot looking down at him hopefully. He stared at Ilia-B, her obviously mecha face lacking all natural features except eyes. Even the senses she used to hear and smell in this form were merely integrated into the head seamlessly, leaving her blank and mechanical. "Ah." he said, in a tone that suggested this was a problem he clearly hadn't anticipated at all. "I see." "This all smells so good daddy, but I can't eat it." Ilia-B said with a little upset waver in her voice. Despite her size in this form, she was always just a little girl at heart. "Yes, I can see that. I neglected that aspect. It is a tactical body after all, not a body to be lived in." He nodded carefully, wondering what to do. It wasn't as if he could build her a functioning mouth in a few minutes.
They looked at each other hopelessly for a few silent moment before Guyy looked down at his half eaten snack with a little guilt in his eyes. He had been enjoying this treat, until now. And now he felt a bit bad about it, in the same way he would have felt bad complaining about sore feet around an amputee. "Tell you what, when the battle is over and you are in your regular body, you can have a big bowl of ice cream with any sauce you like and sprinkles." He decided finally. The large robot seemed to brighten up a little. "Promise?" She squeaked. "Promise." he nodded. "With fruit too, if you want." "Yay!" She giggled happily, handing her useless snack to the nearest hungry looking person. Clearly that had been enough to settle her mind.

"Hm..." there was a hint of a soft smile on Kaori's lips as Kaida resolved to have a 'light snack.' The short trip to the others was carried out in silence, unlike her companion however, Kaori was right at home with herself as they came upon the others. Ilia-B seemed only half aware of who she was handing her bar-b-q stick off to, and quite smoothly Kaori intercepted and plucked it from the over sized robotic hand. "Smells delicious. Thank-you Aya, Ilia..." she nodded gently to each and glanced over at Raven and Jack. They certainly were quite the pair, a little smirk tugged once at the corner of her lips before turning her gaze to Guyy and was about to sit when instead she turned to stare up at the control room a little intently.
"Can you hang onto this for me Milord? I need to go check on him." she questioned but already deposited her skewer in his hand and then disappeared. Halfway up to the top of the stands in the grand arena did she reappear as though getting ready to spring once again and then she disappeared from sight to reappear by the control room door. Placing a palm on the panel the door slid aside and she placidly walked in out of sight, the door closing behind her. No doubt she'd return in just a few moments, but she hadn't even gotten a bite of her snack just yet. Meanwhile Raven had already half finished his bar-b-q stick while still getting prodded a little here and there, for the most part he was still and quiet about the prying fingers, making as though he wasn't paying attention at all to what Jack was doing.. however if there was one thing that stood out about him it might be that single rather prominent, not too long, relatively thin line of scar that seemed to want to hide in the crook of the base of his neck. Made by a blade but with a scar like that... well... the fact he survived something that left that there was a miracle in itself. It was usually hidden by a collar, or tie, or by the chain he usually wore, but since that sword of his wasn't in it's pendant form and was leaning against the stadium seating... well... there was his most painful day displayed, plain as day.
He cast an eye over his shoulder at the tigress as she hopped off and knew what she was checking on but beyond that, didn't give it another thought as he tore into another bite of bar-b-q. "Jack.. really I'm fine.." he muttered past his food, "Do me a favour and keep an eye on her, she's gonna push it today..." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Character Name: Kaori Yukiko Title: Shinigami Senior Level 5 Health: 8,000 Energy: 5400.5

It was obvious for her to see that the man was... well, warm. And not just that, but the other reasons eluded her for the moment. After all, Kaida was curious as to just what, exactly, the Tigress had gone off to the control room for. She started eating the orange slices, despite the silent promise she had made to herself about only eating if the Tigress had eaten. Her gaze returned to Jack. Warm had been an understatement. Confusion showed through her gray eyes as she ended up staring at the man.
If he caught her, she would not show any remorse nor any fear. She was, after all, genuinely interested in why her hunches were acting up towards the stranger. Of course, her attention did divert, occasionally, towards the other man that he was with. After all, he had a certain air to him that simply could not be ignored for long. Rather strangely, she was suddenly struck by a brief visage of two avian creatures flying side by side. Puzzled, she pushed the thought from her mind, finding no connection between the images and the two strangers who seemed to have a rather unique relationship.
Her gaze inevitably landed on her now-devoured orange. She wondered idly about what to do with the peel as she ran her tongue over her teeth in the hopes that none of the stringy stuff had gotten stuck considering that she had eaten it with the majority of her attention focused elsewhere. After being satisfied with that, Kaida looked towards the control room again, trying to remember what Kaori had said about her intents. Something about checking on somebody... wonder who it could be... She gave a half-hearted shrug to herself and then resumed fixating her gaze on the orange peel in her hands.

Aya covered her mouth, hiding the amused smirk she couldn't help but let out. Her violet eyes twinkled as the father and daughter reached a solution before she blinked and returned to her calm facade. Her slender and pale hand removed itself and gently rested on her lap. Her other hand was still holding the can of Sprite and one would have to wonder if she planned on drinking it at all or if she was simply staking claim on a favorite drink.
But well...Sprite couldn't be Aya's favorite drink now could it? Someone as refined and sophisticated as the Ice Queen? Never!
Still, the drink remained in her strong grip even as she nodded in acknowledgment to Kaori's thank you. Her other hand moved but instead of opening the can, she reached inside the picnic basket and grabbed a handful of seedless grapes. With a small barely seen smile, Aya began to slowly eat the small fruits. She was enjoying herself, quietly listening to her family fuss around with each other. She did wonder however, what Kaori was going to do up on the control room. Aya had never truly been much of a participant in the Lady Shinigami's sparring sessions and so, couldn't truly begin to even guess at this mystery.
Ah well, she thought as she popped another grape in her mouth and chewed delicately, they'd find out soon enough.
In the meantime she needed to make sure that she was ready for whatever it was that the Tigress was going to do. Aya 'hmmed' as she finished her grapes and stood up, dusting imaginary dirt away from her shoulders and lap before she stared at the center of the arena. Despite her earlier conclusions that she wouldn't be able to put much thought in to Kaori's actions, she found herself becoming alert to her surroundings and theorizing certain situations that would come out of Kaori 'pushing it today' as Raven so eloquently put it. Yes she heard that too.
Her eyes traveled around the sparring area and even the stands, trying to get a good view of whatever it was that Kaori was going to unleash upon them...if she even was going to do it. She masked her eagerness and act though by keeping her dispassionate expression on her face and her relaxed stance. In her hand, the moistness from the metal of the soda can built up in to small droplets and slowly fell to the ground.
"Hmn..." Aya murmured as a small smile reached her face. She was getting far too excited for her own good. She looked at both Raven and Jack...and then subtly to Kaida. What would they do if she were to...play around a little? Her toes twitched with the need to do something, preferably release some sort of spell in people's directions but she held herself in check as she looked at Guyy, trying to pass off her excitement as boredom but well...Guyy knew her quite well and she was certain that he would be able to tell anyway. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Ilia glanced over to Kaori as the snack was gently taken from her fingers. She would have smiled at her if she could have. Instead he just giggled once lightly. She sat awkwardly on her seat, looking like the massive golem she was. She hummed to herself, staring out at the arena and taking in the lovely smells. Good thing she couldn't be made hungry by the tasty scents. She just enjoyed the company happily. When Kaori darted off she followed her with robotic eyes for a while. Was that who she thought was up there? Ilia let out a little squeal. She would have to go see him afterwards!
Guyy raised an eyebrow as a skewer was handed to him. He looked up at his beloved and smiled, catching on quickly. He knew she wouldn't have gone too far, and so he never really worried. Not that he didn't do his fair share. "If you want me to, I could..." he began to offer. But she was already gone, flitting away as easily as a sunbeam. He smiled and chuckled softly to himself. He held onto her lunch carefully, knowing she'd be back in just a moment.
He kept his senses extended fully as he waited. He would have gone up there with her, but he suspected she could be there and back before he even managed to climb halfway up the stands despite his natural agility. He'd keep a check on her, if she didn't return within a few minutes he'd go up and assist. For now his scarlet eyes glanced around. Raven and Jack were as cosy as ever and Kaida seemed to be curious but settled. That was always excellent to see in a new recruit. His eye eventually fell on Aya and he gave her a curious look of his own. "Well, Lady Aya. A bit pent up are we?" He chuckled casually, knowing her frame of mind well but not quite calling her on it. She certainly looked in a mischievous mood.
Jack's fingers trailed over Raven's skin, seeking imperfections, anything that would tell him that he needed help. And he was enjoying the act of his fingers on that supple skin too, he wouldn't hide that as a soft smile pulled at his lips despite his explorations. "I know you're fine." He hummed quietly in reassuring reply. "I just like to check." His fingers stopped just on the edge of the scar, but Jack wasn't looking.
He had been able to feel the gaze as if it had been boring through his skull. Glancing up, fingers resting on Raven's collarbone, he locked eyes with Kaida. She stared without shame. He blinked. Not many people would keep a gaze like that when they were noticed. He flashed her a smile, part welcoming and part nervous, but she stared down at her orange skin. She was an odd one, and Jack was curious about her. He half caught Raven's request and snapped back to attention. "She will push it. It's what she does. Even though it's so soon. I bet he's going to be keeping a close eye on her too." he nodded his head slightly towards Guyy in emphasis as he spoke quietly. "He might look all calm and relaxed, but he's probably more here to keep an eye on her than to try out Ilia-B. So yes, I promise I will too." He smiled at Raven, knowing he would fight better if he knew he didn't have to worry so much. "Have faith in her, you of all people should know she's more than capable of handling a little spar." He grinned.
Ilia twitched in her seat a little before getting to her feet. The bot got onto all fours and stretched out like a tiger or a wolf. Anyone who had ever seen the Chimera would notice the resemblance easily. The soft whining of motors was barely loud enough to be heard by any except the keenest ears. As if warming up she slowly began to do a few gentle circles around in front of the diners, small laps to get used to her form. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Subtle was not something Kaida was good at catching. She never had any experience with sneak tactics, nor reading body language. Therefore, Kaida failed to catch the glance from the Ice Queen. However, she did sense something... a little short of devious, simply from the way the water fell from Aya's soda can. Guyy's comment only reinforced the idea in her head. Nonetheless, Kaida wasn't sure what to think about it, having no experience with Aya's devious side.
Her gaze trailed back to Jack for but a brief moment. He had seemed confused at her courage. Well, that wasn't completely correct. Simply put, Kaida had always felt that guilt was a useless thing to feel. Perhaps a lack of guilt was simply too easily mistaken for courage, then. It was a strange thing to think about for any length of time, so she immediately started to watch Ilia raptly.
It didn't look like it took very much effort for the little robot to cover an impressive distance. From what she could tell, the body was meant to be animalistic. Her gray eyes studied the way the robot's joints moved and the way its hands and feet came into and out of contact with the ground. For what it looked like it weighed, she had to wonder at how it was not shaking the ground whenever it landed. Or, at the very least, putting quite a bit of pressure on the robotic joints and the main chassis. Her gaze locked onto the neck of the creature. It seemed to be rather awkward. However, she couldn't quite place her finger on the origin of such a feeling, and so promptly dismissed the thought.
You know, you should ask for his name. The thought came into her head, uninvited and unwelcome. She didn't need to ask who her inner self was referring to. Without even needing to look, she already gave herself an excuse - the man seemed busy with his companion, and Kaida was never comfortable with interrupting moments of intimacy. There was a bit of a nasty taste in her mouth, and as she pondered about whether or not she should busy herself with eating something else, realization slowly dawned on her. He made her feel lonely. What an absurd and unfamiliar emotion. Kaida very slightly shifted her weight, as though restless. Perhaps following Ilia's suit wasn't such a bad idea after all.
