Distant explosions could be heard, making Evie stop her shopping, and glance once again at the time. Her shift was going to start soon, meaning she would need to get moving. Dropping the top she had just picked up to check out, the blonde weaved her way through the crowds of shaken people, planning to text all of Yin to get some answers. Something was happening, and it certainly wasn't good.

To: All Members of Yin
From: Evie
Message: Any1 near the explosion? what happened? Any injured?

Rushing out of the mall, bag in hand, Evelyn took a quick glance around. No other members aside from Nix, whom she assumed was still inside, were there yet. Maybe the other members weren't involved in the explosion, and if they were, they'd be going to a hospital if any were injured, or back to their apartments to rest. Sighing in annoyance to the lack of response from anyone, despite the fact she just sent her message, and the fact that she had to work when so much excitement was going on already, Evie pouted as she began to run to the gym. Her pace slowed remarkably though, as the feeling in the pit of her stomach grew. Her pout began to turn into a displeased frown, grumbling to herself about the rain. "At least they invented waterproof make up... But it was supposed to be sunny! Man, and here I thought I could go to the beach later! I hope this doesn't keep up..."

Pausing every once and awhile to take shelter under a canopy or roof to ring out her hair, Evie knew the gym was in sprinting distance, but rather than risking herself getting soaked by the lovely speeding cars by the lovely puddles-which she would probably have the urge to jump in later when properly dressed-the child at heart brought up her hands and flicked her fingers out, freezing time, and the rain. Leaving the dry spot under the canopy, the time manipulator made a break for her destination, unfreezing time as she arrived. "And the crowd goes wild! Evie Grant made it to work in remarkable time without getting too wet! Ha!" Exaggerating her arrival as per usual, the blonde giggled to herself and waved to the people walking by. Clocking in, she checked her phone in hopes of a response.

None yet, which was somewhat worrisome. But, the bubbly blonde needn't worry, as her companions were always stronger than they really looked. Like Sereno. He was somewhat shy around her, and very gentleman like, but he was actually much stronger, and somewhat more intimidating than he let off. The same went for Molly. A cute, sweet girl who was close to Sereno, who had telekinesis, a very useful, active, and powerful ally in a fight. Envy moment over, Evie greeted the regulars and trainers, marking down who was where and doing what for the day. Even though it was weird for a gym to have secretary, she never questioned her position since it was a job that paid very well.

Can I offer you a sarcastic comment?

Lexi smiled as she heard Xavi's phone go off from the living room. It seemed like he had yet again failed to make it to his bed last night. She was starting to think he liked sleeping on the rather uncomfortable sofa than his own bed. Lexi on the other hand, was in love with her bed. Her smile twisted into a small frown as the floor shook beneath her. Was he really so lazy that he couldn't even get up to answer his own phone? Oh, well... she thought as she rolled her eyes. He was cute so she could give him a little credit. Lexi wiggled her butt a little bit as Xavi's remark and shot back with a "That was the point!" through her heavy accent. "Moorneenk, lovely," she replied as she walked past, putting extra emphasis with her accent. Just for Xavi. He had a thing for her accent and she couldn't quite understand what it's appeal was. Half the time, no one could understand what she was saying. Oh well.

Now that her breakfast was done, Lexi sat at the table and ate her food unenthusiastically. She knew she have asked Xavi to cook. He always made tasty food. When Xavi reappeared from the shower, he helped himself to his usual ginormous bowl of cereal. No doubt he'd be hungry in ten minutes. Lexi really didn't know where he put it all. She wrinkled her nose as he blew her a kiss. How utterly corny yet sweet it was. Eyeing his clothes, she wondered if she should maybe put on a bit more. After all, she was only wearing a tank top and a pair of panties and that was about it. Not even a bra. She was sure Xavi wouldn't mind too much though. When she looked up at him but it looked like he was thinking about something but then he mentioned muffins. "Nothink, really. But muffins sound tasty!"

Having finished her meager breakfast, Lexi pushed away from the table and ran off to her room to throw on some clothes. As she stepped into her room, she heard her cell beeping from its spot on her bed. Hmm, she had a message from Syd and another from Jacoby.

To; Syd
From; Lexi
well hurry bby
i'm getting restless (;

To; Jacoby
From; Lexi
sorry guy
already got a date for breakfast

Emerging from her room fully dressed, Lexi was ready for tasty muffins with Xavi. She had a plain black bikini tucked away under her clothes just in case they did stop by the beach. "Okay, I'm ready!" she exclaimed just as someone knocked on the door. Syd is here already? Damn, that was fast!

Molly.Ellise.Athens.

The fight was now two to one, and this girl had no chance in hell of winning. With Molly and Sereno's powers combined, she didn't stand a chance. Molly was ready to just use her powers to pull this girl apart like a broken doll. But before her first attack even got anyway, the father got inbetween them, and destroyed all five pews. She scowled at him, her eyes now an even more manic shade of blue. How dare he get in her way? She scowled at him and began to prepare for another attack. Perhaps she'd stop her heart, or pull her apart from the inside out. All she knew was, that this girl needed to die. And she wouldn't even have to move an inch in order to do it. It was all in her mind.

But before getting the chance to make another move, Sereno used his cross to bludgeon the girl with it forming into a metal baseball bat. There was a large cracking sound that went along with the hit. And she was down. Molly smirked, but for only a moment. Then her eyes slowly closed, the match was over, but Molly was having trouble snapping out of the haze. It seemed like an eternity had passed her by, till Sereno grabbed her arms which forced her eyes to pop open and stare at him directly. Now that the rush was gone, her rage completely disappeared, and she was back to her normal self everything she had just done sunk in. And then there was a unbelieveable rush of pain surging through her entire left arm. She winced and clenched her shoulder with her right hand, biting on her bottom lip, trying not to try. "Ouch...it hurts so bad..." she whimpered. Her gaze shifted from the face of a friend, to the tiny girl bleeding all over the destroyed church's floor. She was in shock, if Sereno hadn't stepped in, she could have easily killed the girl. It wouldn't have taken too much effort. Molly had never used her powers for evil, or to harm others, only to help herself, and to help others. She was devastated.

"Is she going to be...alright?" she asked hesitantly biting through the pain. But before she could get any answers she was being rushed out of the church by Sereno and the Father. What did he mean, that they deserved to know?

When the two were finally out of the church, it seemed they were heading towards the mall. What for? Staying close to Sereno's frame she looked around, trying to keep the the fact that she was damaged on the down low. "Sereno..what do you think the father meant when he said we deserve to know? What could be going on? I have never seen that girl in my life, and all I could think of was how badly I wanted her dead. I had absolutely no control over my powers. I'm pretty surprised I just didn't tear her limbs off. That's how angry I was..." she said feeling absolutely disgusted with herself. Molly felt her phone buzz in her purse, but she had no time to answer it now, she was still too freaked out about what happened. She'd get it later.

.Syd-Ellise-Barnes.

Fussing with her hair while she waited, Syd began to grow impatient and annoyed. What the hell was taking them so long? She knew Lexi was with Xavi, but they wouldn't be doing anything. It was impossible, he'd be dead within a minute or so. Such a shame that one of the most attractive girls Syd had ever met was unable to be kissed, or touched, or ********. The forbidden fruit. She pursed her lips a bit and thought about it, about finding some sort of loop hole to getting to be with Lexi.

Then her phone buzzed, she pulled it out seeing she had two messages. One from Lexi and the other from Jacoby. She didn't reply to Lexi's but gave Jacoby a quick answer.

To:Jacoby
From:Syd
Hey pretty boy.
Sorry, I have a date with a cute vixen.
I'll find ya later though. You okay?
What's up?

And with the message sent she snapped her phone shut, and shoved it into the front pocket of her torn up old jeans. Still no one answered the door yet. Now she was getting past her patience limit. So being the usual obnoxious girl she was, she decided to just let herself in. She rolled her eyes and twisted on the door knob, seeing much to her surprise that it was unlocked! Giving the knob another turn, and a push the door slowly swung open, and she walked right in. "Good morning lady and gent! Since you two decided to take a ******** year to open the door, I decided to let myself in. Hope you don't mind." she said looking for them. She glanced into the kitchen to see Xevi, and spun around to find her little blue haired fairy to be dressed as cute as ever. "Well hello there my little gothling, you are looking as ravishing as ever." she said flashing her a quick wink before heading into the kitchen. She wasn't sure if Lexi actually liked her, but it didn't hurt to be flirty like she always was. Lexi usually played along anyway. She grabbed a glass, filled it with OJ out of the fridge and began to chug it down. She was so thirsty from the night before. After taking two long swigs, leaving the glass half full she wiped off her mouth and looked at them both, "So did you guys hear? One of the tenants in this building got mugged last night by the nightclub, and no one has seen him yet today. He never even came home. It was that Eric guy, who lives a couple doors down from me. A mugging from another mutant? What the ******** is this world coming to when you can't even trust your own kind?" she said with a shake of her head and a sigh before taking another sip of orange juice.

Finished with his meal, and the leftovers thrown or put away depending on the type, Ari trudged back up the five stairs that lead to his bedroom in his apartment suite, not feeling up to modeling with the rain that swept over the city in mere seconds. "Как симпатично. 3 всхода фото в дожде." Russian thoughts of negativity clouded his mind as he got dressed and grabbed an umbrella. He had to walk, since he disliked taxis and didn't have a license, not to mention the first job was only across town on a sky scraper. Not too far of a walk. Locking his door and going down the elevator, Ari checked his buzzing phone for the text from Evie, quickly replying no, and he was just leaving his room for work. Hopefully, no explosions or weird weather decided to come to him, making him lose a job or two. Glancing to his knuckles, the were cut and bruised from a fight he had before arrival. Slowly, he covered them up with some simple black gloves, not wanting any questions asked. His hands weren't needed for the first shoot, and if they were, he was able to position them to keep the cuts out of the picture, and deliver a good pose. Passing by the persons at the front desks int he foyer, he greeted them with his usual french words, leaving for the cloudy outside.

Holding the door open for another resident, he nodded and opened the umbrella, going left for his destination. A sky scraper that gave a beautiful view of the sky if it wasn't so dark today, and usually other glass buildings that seemed to stretch forever. Itching to check his I-pad again to see where his second location would be at specifically, and what kind (commercial, high fashion, editorial, etc) Pasha resisted, wondering just why on Earth explosions would be going off at a church. Sure, some people were anti-religious, such as himself, but he wasn't going to blow up a cathedral because of it.

Exhaling deeply, the half French half Russian paused at the crosswalk, waiting for the signal to change to a white man walking. Cars sped by, making him take a few steps back, not wanting to get splashed from the puddles made. So far, no one gave any news on the suspected fight. "D'ere are more fights comin' around lately. All mutant related. Now we can't even trust our own kind to stay peaceful? Merde!" Cussing in his thoughts, Ari sped up along the crosswalk for the cars wanting to turn, and entered the building he needed to climb. On the roof was where everything was taking place, and luckily for him, it was some sort of Gothic fashion job. Meaning, the rain would be perfect to mess up the make up and get the pose striking done a lot quicker. His only problem: it would be cold, and he got sick easily. "De things I do for money."

Laughing to himself, he handed his coat and umbrella to the man waiting, brushing his hand through his short brown locks, making sure it was presentable. Satisfied, he stepped into the opening elevator, pressing the button for the top floor. From there, he would ascend the usually closed off stairs and meet up with his photographer and director on the roof, getting the low down. Tensing for no reason, he knew another guy, possibly the same one from a few nights ago he fought with was near, which pissed him off for now reason. Cracking his neck and trying to calm down, ignoring the tingling sensation he got from the awareness, not to mention trying to control his phasing, Pasha shook out his limbs. His gut just didn't feel right. Perhaps he could blame it on his cooking or lack of control on phasing through things?

Translations:
1.How lovely. Three photo shoots in the rain.
2.s**t!

Over the past few years, a boy had learned a strict lesson from the world. No matter how hard you try to block people out, to forget things and move on with your life…it never works. It’s better to embrace these things lest you just end up getting hurt in the end. Because of this strict lesson he had received from the world, he learned to embrace things much more easily instead of trying to brush them aside and force people out of his life for good. No; Benjamin had become what he would call ‘one with the world.’ And in no time flat, he had made friends, accepted himself for whom and what he was and become all around a more enjoyable person. When he was a child, Benny had the horrible habit of being a bit of not only a push over, but a child who had an extremely cold disposition to the world and its inhabitants. But now as he sat in a café down town with a warm cup of coffee that he was afraid to touch, he couldn’t remember why he had ever even been like that in the first place. No, he rather liked his new conformed ways.

Benjamin stared down at his still steaming coffee; despite himself he let his finger gently graze over the edge of the cup. Small crystal-like formations travelled and formed around the rim of the porcelain mug, it’s smooth yet hard curves became cold and covered in a thin layer of frost. As the icy substance travelled deeper and deeper into the mug, finally reaching the contents of the steaming hot coffee it too, turned to ice. As the cold met the hot a plume of steam erupted from the mug. His eyes grazed down at the once steaming coffee, now turned into what he would call a coffee-sicle. Simple, yet charming. Friendly and childlike. He smiled down at the mug, it was a simple trick but one he enjoyed. It was true that Benjamin had the ability to control ice; some would call it ‘ice manipulation.’ He had it completely under control on most occasions, despite the fact that he would occasionally wake up in a winter wonderland of sorts, but he doubted that was much of a problem, all of the supers he figured depend on their ability would probably have trouble regarding their powers while they laid in their subconscious mind, blissfully unaware of their surroundings.

He enjoyed sleeping simply because he could take the world in stride, not have to worry about what was going on around him. Benny had moved from his home in Trondheim, Norway—an old municipality that he was born and raised in. It was a humble town right on the rivers edge, both scenically and historically beautiful. He could remember every detail, even the smells and sounds. Sometimes he could envision them more clearly than the town itself. He closed his eyes and imagined being back there, back where he felt he belonged. A longing smile spread across his face, this Island was not and never would be his home. He stuck out rather easily here too—not because of his nationality. No there were people here from all over the world, to stick out because of such a trivial thing would be almost conceives as ignorant; but he had a rather spastic sense of fashion. He enjoyed wearing stripes for one, sometimes over accentuating the stripes in his pinstripe suits. Sometimes he ended up looking more like a criminal than a simply super human. Fresh out of jail with his custom, home made prison suit. He shook his head, partly in delight, the other part, well; he wasn’t entirely sure what the other part of him was. Maybe it was uncategorized mirth at his own silly wardrobe.

Though he wasn’t going to lie to himself as he reclined back in his seat, the back legs of his char supporting all of his weight as he placed his hands behind his head and stared at the light fixture above him. He was jealous of…normal human beings. He was jealous that they could live their lives out normally instead of being brought to an island like this—out casted from the rest of the world. Maybe he was more than jealous, even angry at civilization for classing them apart from the rest. He was none to fond of this, and with that his old, cold disposition filtered back into effect. He glared at the lights with their blaring heat. Not a fan of heat, he stood from his spot and placed some money on the table before leaving the café. Though it was still morning, as the red head emerged from the café he could feel the heat of late afternoon already approaching. One would assume that at nine-ish in the morning, you couldn’t feel such things. From his position as he sheltered his eyes from the sun, he could see across the boardwalk—though he wasn’t too close to it, it was fairly visible. The tell tale signs of recent rainfall were evident there. Chances were that meant Jacoby was around there.

About to make a trip down to see if the boy was in sights, he was distracted by a rumble in the earth. It was subtle, but easily depicted as a fight. Somewhere, someone was getting in a fight. It seemed like a fairly large one at that. He wasn’t a fan of all the fighting; taking each other out like it was some sick game for who ever ran this s**t hole. He had only ever gotten into maybe two of the fights since he had gotten here. The overwhelming anger that felt like it was going to split your head in two if you didn’t do anything about it—it was scary and exhilarating all at the same time. Slowly, he moved in the direction of the tremors. More out of curiosity than anything.
