Pleased with his prey she stepped forward to enjoy her kill once directed to. She lowered her head and took a good sized piece from the beast's flank. She ate in silence, though her expression told she was deep in thought. She pulled from her thoughts and looked at him. "We grew up pretty fast, didn't we?" she murmured softly, taking another bite of the meat. It seemed just a few days ago they were just little pups in a big world.

"We're not normal..." He stared at the kill. "We have to grow fast to survive." It had only been a few months since he was a pup. Though he could never recall where he was from. His family...anything.

She nodded, gazing at him. "We're the only family we've got... so what does that make us?" she wondered curiously.

"Family" He had finished eating. There was blood all over him. They'd need to clean off by finding a river. He started to licking the blood off his paws.

"Right... but... siblings? Or something else?" she stepped over the carcass and began to lick the blood from his fur, tail waving slowly behind her.

"We're not related." He growled as she licked his fur. Damn she was precedent. He nuzzled her neck to show his thanks and trotted onward. It wasn't the time yet...not yet for them to be together.

A soft, lingering laugh at his growled response. She followed after him, now content and sated after their meal. She could hear the trickle of water and knew by scent it was near. "I hope the hunts are so easy in the future. I expended hardly any energy at all." she admitted.

"They will be if we stay near water but we will have the pass through the moutains to find the Rouges."
He kicked a pebble away from him.

She followed after him, trotting at an even pace a little behind him and to the right. "Mm, I guess we'll be trying our paws at goats then." she said, looking up at the distant mountains.

"Goats?" He had a questionable look on his face. His hearing was very keen anything she said he could hear. He paused for a second and mused over her comment.

[okay. Who should start the thread?]
She trotted a bit closer so she was walking beside him, her tail twined with his briefly before pulling away. She was watching the road ahead of them, but by walking beside him she was making a statement, 'I'm here and I'm worthy of you... see me for what I am and what I want to be to you.' seemed to be what she was saying in body language. Her behavior however was very nonchalant.
