The ladies of Longbourn soon waited on those of Netherfield. The visit was returned in due form. Miss Bennet's pleasing manners grew on the good will of Mrs. Hurst and Miss Bingley; and though the mother was found to be intolerable and the younger sisters not worth speaking to, a wish of being better acquainted with them was expressed towards the two eldest. By Jane this attention was received with the greatest pleasure; but Elizabeth still saw superciliousness in their treatment of every body, hardly excepting even her sister, and could not like them; though their kindness to Jane, such as it was, had a value, as arising in all probability from the influence of their brother's admiration. Pride and prejudice was ripped out of Maximilian James' hands and he looked up at his dad from behind his thick black rimmed glasses annoyed. "Give me back my book" he said in a low calm voice, staring at the book his dad held in his hand as if for ransom for the answer to those stupid questions Max rather not answer.
"Answer me, are you going to the dance on Friday?" he asked again for the fifth time that morning. Max looked back at the clock, at least he could use the excuse he had to get to school soon so there wouldn't be too much yelling. He hated it when people yelled, or loud noises in general. The library was so quiet and that...was the perfect place for him. "No, I am not. Can I have my book now? I got to get to school" he said hurriedly standing up and grabbing for the book that was pulled from him. "Why not?" his dad asked and Max scoffed shacking his head pushing his glasses back into place on the bridge of his nose. "I do not want to" he said plainly grabbing for Pride and prejudice once more and his dad extended his arm high above his head out of reach.
"That's not normal; seventeen year old boys are suppose to go to their dances and out on dates. Maybe if you took your nose out of these stupid books of yours. You would have a girlfriend" Max took a step back from his Dad looking as if he had struck him then lowered his head for a second. When he raised his head again he walked toward his dad jumped up grabbing the book from the older male and as he turned around to leave he swiped his bag from the chair. "My books are not stupid and I do not want a girlfriend" he huffed storming out of the kitchen as he slid the bag on to his shoulder and opened the front door walking out of the house slamming the door behind him. The further he got from his house the realization finally hit him causing Max to come to a rather quick halt. He had raised his voice to his father, something a boy like Max would never do. School was getting tough to get through now more then ever now that Josh was bullying him around more then he usually did.
It made no sense why the other male always picked on him after all Max kept to himself.hat of course was no excuse for being mouthy to his dad who was only concerned for him. He appreciated the concern but he wasn't even sure if he found girls attractive. It was all so confusing. Either way, during lunch he would call and apologize that way he could get away with out actually talking to his dad who would be at work by that time. For now, Max had to get to school and get to the library before Josh found him. The library was his sanctuary, the only place he could go that Josh would not follow him into for what ever reason. Tearing himself from his thoughts Maximilian continued on his way the four blocks to school, he could not concentrate on both reading and walking in the state of mind he was at this time so the book swung at his side safely clutched in his hand. Instead he watched the cars speed past him hurrying off to their destination. No one stopped to smell the roses anymore, it seemed they were too busy rushing to the end of their life. Ugh, that was a depressing thought. Max shook his head as he began to go across the cross walk when the light bid him to.
Walking into the school's parking lot Max hurried passed the cars that belonged to the students and teachers alike. He was so close to the door. "Where ya going four eyes?" the name stopped Max in his tracks, god he hated it when people made fun of him because of his glasses. He needed them to see right, he was near sighted it wasn't something he could help. The raven haired seventeen year old turned his head his blue eyes not landing on who he had expected to see but Dorian the captain of the football team and the rest of his team. "I would appreciate it if you did not call me that" he said in a small voice that was more fearful then it was tough. Dorian took a step toward him and Max moved back wards tripping over a stair and falling upon the concrete hard on his bottom. Dorian laughed and reached down grabbing Max by the front of his shirt and pulled him off the stairs by the front of his shirt and tossed him down to the other football players who grabbed his arms and spun him around.
Seeing Dorian clench his fist Max whimpered and turned his head clenching his eyes shut preparing himself for the pain that was sure to come from being beaten up by the football team. This was just as bad, or even worse then having to deal with Josh by a lot but all he could do was wait for it to be over. If he tried to move or squirm the grip on his arms were tightened even more so that it would hurt him. " I will call you what ever I want four eyes" he heard Dorian sneer and Max tensed his body up.

-Joshua Kyle McKinley- d e s t r u c t i v e xxxx && xxxx s e d u c t i v e Today started just like any day for Joshua McKinley, the school's renowned terrorizer of students. He woke up, did a few rounds and his punching bag then, once pumped enough, he would get dressed and showered to head off to school. The minor flaw in this morning's version, a small woman clouded the frame of his bedroom door. "Joshie, you gotta promise me that I'm not gonna get a call from the school today." It was his mother, who didn't even bother to greet her only son with a hello or good morning. Just a demand that he knew would be hard to follow. "I don't want your principal calling me up at work about you misbehaving and beating on the other kids." She shifted her weight on the door frame, staring at him with tired eyes as Josh shoved his unfinished homework in his backpack. At times like these, he wondered why his mother even bothered. It wasn't like he had a big scholarship on the line. Not even college really. Applying wasn't enough when every other week your grades were rising and falling between twenty percent and sixty percent, all depending on the class. She should just be proud that he took the initiative to actually attend class versus skipping all together.
"Look mum, we're not kids, we're high school students. And some people just need to know their place. ******** it if the school don't like it." Josh tried to explain to his mother without snapping at her. She really did try to set him straight and make him happy, she just can't solve a problem like Joshua. His mother pushed herself from the door, walking into Josh's room with an envelope in hand, letting out a soft weary sigh. "Your father sent money, if that helps put you into place." With a scoff, he threw in his own wallet roughly then standing up. He was now in sour mood, once his father was brought up. Time to get the hell out of there. "More than last time too. He probably misses you Joshie. Just give him the time of day..." It was obvious neither them liked Joshua's father but, at the same time they didn't have a choice in the matter. His father still had some custody over him which the bully had to follow. No matter how shitty of a fatherly figure he had. "I'd rather choke on my own puke." He replied venomously before moving past her, shoving his bag out the door and into the hall.
They both grunted in unison, she in desperation and Josh in annoyance. Stepping out their front door, he held it open and turned back to his mother. She had her hands on her hips with the envelope wrinkled against her body. A stare down commenced between the two of them, determined to win. "Stop acting like we're such a goddamn broken family! Just, visit him and get it over with." The single mother grunted out, pushing her blond bob back behind her ears. Josh looked at her then smiled, giving her false hope. "Sure, once I become president and fly to the moon. See you later mum." He slammed the door and jumped off the porch, running off towards the school before she could chase after him.
By this time, Joshua was furious and easy to tick off. One wrong move and the next thing you'd see is a fist to your face. People cleared the halls as he passed by, or at least moved out of his way. Most of the student body was afraid of him or jealous of his strength. It wasn't like he was the strongest guy in school, he just chose to show his muscle by publicly beating the crap out of people. Grumbling under his breath, he sent glares at his peers who with widened eyes avoided him. The look of his face was enough to make the students act like that, just wait until someone crosses him. What he needed right now was to find his favourite little punching bag and just go at him for a little while. Strange thing was, little Max wasn't near the library yet. Weird. Maybe he's out there waiting for a dumpster toss. Josh smirked to himself, scaring a ninth grader to death.
The sun was shining outside as the tall male stepped outside of the door, looking around with the sick smirk plastered in excitement. Where was his nerd? He needed to ruin his day right then or else he'd he forced to go at someone less fun to tease. His ears perked up as the familiar voice could be heard. Near by of course, as it was like a mouse quivering. Turning around, Josh saw what he hadn't expected. The damn football team in all there glory, picking on HIS prey. They weren't aloud to touch him, it was against bully code or something! After a minute of watching them shove Max to the ground, Josh snapped. He did what he never expected, lunged at Dorian and tackled him to the ground. All for a kid he wanted to beat on himself. It didn't cross his mind how weird it was to stick up for such a nerd but, here he was, giving the captain of the loser team a bloody nose. Followed by a black eye and probably some cracks to his ribs.

The first fist slammed into Max's gut knocking the breath from him and tearing his mind off of the concentration he had fought to keep. The fists continued to slam into his gut a few times before he was decked once in the cheek. He was shoved forward by the two holding him and shoved to the ground by Dorian. As the quarterback raised his foot to stomp into Max, out of no where Josh was suddenly tackling Dorian to the ground. What the? he asked himself watching as the bully beat the quarterback down instead of him. Max started to scoot away slowly from the group.
" Don't let four eyes get away and get this a*****e off of me" Dorian roared as he tried to fight back under neath the bully. Max scurried to his feet and tried to run, two of the foot ball players grabbed him by the arms pulling him back to them as the others rushed to pull Josh off of their leader.
"Let me go!" Max demanded struggling in their grip frantically he had almost managed to escape but was once again trapped by the team watching as they managed to pry Josh off of Dorian at the same time a teacher had came rushing out of the school and down the stairs.
"Break it up boys, let them go this instant" the teacher ordered and the team complied releasing both Josh and Max. Max, who was now free rushed away from them and hid behind the teacher who had taken charge of the situation. "Who started this?" the male biology teacher named Mr. Piccalilli asked looking at Max who raised his hand and pointed at Dorian who growled lowly in return. "Mr. Gray, come with me to the principals office" he said looking at the quarterback, Dorian looked at the rest of his team mates and walked over to the teacher. "Mr. James to the nurses office with you. I will make sure that Mr. Gray is punished for his actions."
"Thank you" Max spoke in his quiet voice, glancing at Josh before he turned around and followed after Mr. Piccalilli who lead Dorian inside holding onto his shoulder so that the quarter back did not get away. Max passed them hearing the biology teacher tell Josh that he would be talking to him once Dorian was dealt with. Max still had no idea why the bully had jumped in and attacked the quarter back the way that he did, maybe he was angry that Dorian was picking on him? That really didn't make sense, wouldn't Josh not care about things like that? Wouldn't he find it amusing? The questions swarmed through Max's troubled mind as he walked down the hallway and entered the nurses' room.
Thankfully, nothing too bad had managed to happen to Max during the round. He would have a bruise on his cheek, stomach, and his arms but other then that he was fine. The nurse sent him on his way after the blood from his lip was cleaned up. Upon leaving the room he found Josh outside leaning against the wall with his arms folded in front of his chest. "I don't know why you did that" Max began looking at the bully, "But, thank you." He said and began to walk passed Josh.
