" Hell... " Danika muttered, as things appeared to be falling apart for the group. Seeing Rek barely managing to keep up, she ran back towards him, offering to keep him propped on the side he seemed to be wounded on. " Forget the simians, soldier. Let's just focus on getting outta here fast. "
She wasn't very knowledgable in the medical field, but seeing as she was the one carrying the least amount of equipment, she was probably the best choice for running back for any stragglers. " We really botched this one. " she said quietly to herself.

Drawing a stim from his belt, the Medical officer jabbed it into the wounded Mercenary's neck, instinctively hitting a vein. "WE did not do anything. Responsibility squarely fals on Duchess' shoulders. Now where is that bloody ship?"

"I can't believe I did not stay on the ship."
Dendis cursed, his breath running short from his lack of physical conditioning. The panicked scientist was not counting on being assaulted by angry simians with primitive technologies. Almost instinctively, his mind went back to a less perilous time: his student years. Dendis did what he always did in tense situations, and started listing every class in which he excelled as a youth.
Physics...biology...medicine...techonogical studies...mechanical stud-
A sudden whizzing-past-the-ear interrupted Dendis' thoughts as one of the damned barbarian's spear barely missed him. The doctor did feel lighter, though. It took him maybe seven steps to notice his satchel had disappeared, ripped from his side by that tenacious spear.
My datapad is in there.

Jarsa stumbled out of the trees and almost fell into the lake with spears falling around him. He grabbed the line to one of the dinghies and waved them toward it. "Come on you guys into the dinghy." He looked out over the fifty meters of water separating them from the ship. "Unless you want to swim."
"Dendis forgot the satchel!" He said looking over his shoulder. Gritting his teeth he drew his old blaster pistol and flicked it to stun. "Come on, into the boat!"

Dendis tried convincing himself of how unimportant his satchel was to him, thinking as quick as he could so to not be filled with spearlike indentures.
Okay, you don't need it. It's just got your scanner, easily replaceable meds, your datapad with notes and blueprints spanning 15 years..Oh, who are you kidding?
The duros quickly skidded in his boots and turned around, not looking as cool as he would have thought, and reached his satchel quickly enough. He did, however, fail to remember the vines protruding from the ground, one of which was quite well hidden under his satchel.
Dendis snatched the bag from the ground, and felt a sharp series of stings on his left hand and arm. A series of durese curses followed, and Dr. Kob hightailed it back to the dinghy, scrambling onto it as fast as he could.

Once he made it to the shore, Arranen whipped around and began laying out some covering fire for the rest as he steadily backed towards the dinghy the captain made himself comfortable in. He placed one of his booted feet into the small boat and nearly slipped as he secured himself inside, but managed to catch himself. Certain that he was secure, Arranen continued to fire into the forest with his rifle, careful not to hit his fellow crew members.
The Chiss wasn't even sure if he was hitting any of the natives, but he hoped that he was at least scaring them away. He only hoped that the others would join him and the captain soon, so that they might make a quick escape.

Danika made her way past the few spears that had impaled the ground in front of her. A few more incoming spears had narrowly missed her as she jumped into the boat.
" I'd say any future attempts at peaceful negotiations are gonna be really difficult now. " Danika said. " We're not coming back here, are we? "

Jarsa scrambled onto the boat and hit the motor. He glanced at Danika, "Lets think about that after we're in space."
As the dinghy sped toward the ship Jarsa lifted his comlink to his lips. "W3, status?"

Surrounded by the chattering creatures, they had helped him up only to take his weakness as a chance to strike. W3 looked around him, their anger directed at he, another potential invader upon their space. W3 gave an audible sigh, as he raised his hands up in the intergalactic sign of surrender, as the hoots and hollers suddenly increased further. The sign seemed to only aggravate their fury more, as one reeled back and lobbed his spear at the droid. It's connection only met with a dull *thunk*, bouncing off of W3's chest, though his shirt was a tattered. The whooping calls died down, in apparent disbelief. Another brave simian tried another stab, the stoned tip snapping in half upon contact. Whatever bravado the simians had suddenly died down, as they backed away from the new creature.
"Well, this might be interesting to explain," he said, as he took a step forward, the crowd stepping an equal distance back. Reaching up to grab a fruit, the group cowered down, as W3 bent upon knee joints to offer it to the closest one. The group scattered, uttering the whooping word "lokacheeyee."
Jarsa's small message rang back through W3's comlink. "Status? The local inhabitants have helped me out of my predicament. Though I believe that their latest word for me will ultimately lead to future fear towards droids. At least, for a while."

As the boat touches the hull of the ship, the doctor jumps out and holds the mooring line, letting the others disembark. "Move, damn it!" The doctor barked irritably. "We've overstayed our welcome!"

" This planet's not gonna receive a favorable review on Vacation Worlds after this mess. " Danika said, for whatever good a cheap one-liner would do, given the situation. She quickly climbed into the ship, safely aboard and stood by the door to help pull everyone else inside.

Dendis scrambled inside, though he could barely stand. His vision was blurry, his mind boggled, his throat dry and his voice slurring. This wasn't uncommon for the duros, but this was a more serious matter. This time, he had not joined his old steel flask to his lipless mouth.
Well, this is...not..
As he reached over for his Zeltron cohort to help him up, he saw what going back for his rogue satchel had cost him: what seemed to be an extensive collection of quills had decided to make their appearance, from Dendis' left hand to his elbow.
"That'sh....not a good thing." He began to slur, ready to pass out at any moment.
