he scratched at the scraggle of hair he had before nodding in agreement. "Yes...and if we find nothing, then oh well." he said, taking pictures of the new wasted crime scene, just as proof and evidence that crap had gone down

He put the camera down from his view and walked well pas the area Kay was searching, checking for any kind of evidence along the way. He then started doing the same thing she was, looking for any scrap of evidence that he was supposed to find the previous day.

He even shuffled his boots through the sand, thinking he could eventually kick up something, but alas, he found nothing, and soon moved to another spot. "There wasn't much hear to begin with. Just footprints, and a few things of the victims...it would be nearly impossible to find those now" he said, sifting his feet through the sand, coming up empty with every kick

"Understood." Kay nodded her head and watched as Banes headed further down the rocky ledge for any additional clues to the puzzle. Heading further out towards the water, she looked along the large cracks made by the clashing titans; watching the ocean rise and fall along the choral and rocks. That was, till it looked like something was glowing down in the crack.

"What the deuce?" Kay breathed, squinting her eyes in hopes to see better; and did notice there seemed to be some kind of cavern amongst the rocks. Slipping down between the crack which did give her enough room to slip in with little problems; she felt her feet touch seaweed and sand. "Must fill up with the tide..." she noted, before looking ahead in the dimly lit cavern to see what she'd seen. Reaching down she picked up a stick and hooked a collar with it; obviously belonging to a fox....but most peculiar was the faint blue residue left on one end. It reminded her of the state of the water in the cavern; and decided to keep it held as far away as possible since it probably was radio active.

Walking back to the opening crack, she looked up and cupped a paw around her maw. "Banes! Come here! I think I found something!"

Having moved far enough away, he didn't notice Kay say anything, or even make a move and disappear from his sight for a moment or two. He was too busy looking through the sand, desperate to find something, but it wasn't until he heard the chime of her voice call, that he forgot what he was doing, and wandered over. "What is it?"

He looked to the cave she had found and soon he too saw the glowing from down below. He squatted down and put one knee on the ground as he peered in further. "Is that...a collar?"

Waiting a moment or two till she finally heard his voice, she put on a smile as soon she could see him peering down from above. "Yup! it seems to have similar stuff on it like in the basemen - I mean...cave thingger. Given its quite faded, seems it might have been down here longer than the past few days..." She looked at the collar, the dull glow rather pretty if she didn't believe it to be a dangerous beauty.

"Take a look! Think its something useful?" She spoke and held the stick up as high as she could to give him a better look; not really wanting to touch it and bring it up for him to see. "I can't see much else down here, its kinda dark with only some cracks for beams of light.....did you bring a flashlight or something?"

Looking around, she wasn't going to lie that it was more than a little freaky despite she was sure there wasn't anything dangerous living down here. From the sheer lack of entrances she could see to the ocean other than a sliver against the sea side wall of rocks to let water in supported this notion in her mind.

He whipped out his baton and reached it down there and looped the metal stick through the collar, carefully bringing it up to see the light of day. He studied it carefully, but refused to let any part of the fading blue stuff even get near his own weapon. "It would be useful...if I could take it back as evidence. It's too dangerous now to try that." he explained as he pulled out the camera. The least he could do was take several photos.

"Always" he replied to her flashlight comment, as he reached back on his utility belt to pull out a small but powerful flashlight. He pressed the button at the end and shone the bright light down the crevice, looking for anything else that may be down there

"Thats too bad.." Kay sighed, but couldn't quite complain since there wasn't really any way to take it back without risk. Looking up once again she tossed the stick to the side and looked around, watching carefully the flashlight's spot as if waved around the crevice. "I don't think there is much else...not that I can see anyways." She commented, but did notice a nook in the wall which deserved a look.

Walking over, she could tell it went back a little ways and squinted her eyes to see if it was in fact a tunnel or not. Shifting around in her pockets she pulled out an old cell phone she carried around for the time since calling was pretty useless out here. Turning on the screen she held it out in front of her and looked, but not before sucking in a sharp breath at what she saw. "YEEEK!" She yelped, turning tail and all but sprinting back to the way out and leaping up on the rocks to pull herself half way up. Tail bristled and eyes wide, she looked back down to see the sea snake had slithered into view before sneaking back off into the shadows. Sighing heavily as her legs continued to dangle down, she rested her head on the ground and gave a small chuckle. "Damn snake."

Not seeing anything in the crevice either, he nodded and turned the flashlight off, soon after, discarding the collar back into the crevice where he found it to begin with. As he pulled his arm back out, he noticed Kay suddenly jump and tear away. Freaking out, he leaped back as if the snake was striking at him and landed on his rear several feet away. He looked around bewildered as he tried to figure out what she was so scared of, he didn't see anything.

"WHO WHAT??" he said as he looked to kay for an answer, soon getting she had run from a snake. His face went from confusion to a stare. "Guh..Kay!" he groaned as he fell back on the sand feeling like he was going to have a heart attack. He tried to seem joking as he shook his head. "You goofball"

Finally feeling her nerves calm, she shot her poor panicked companion a sheepish smile; even though he ended up flopping on the sand himself. "Hey! I didn't want to find out it was magical possessed snake that would kill me if it bit me. s**t's too weird here not to be a bit overly cautious..." Pouting her lips she finally pulled the rest of her out of the crevice and crawled over to where he lay.

Sitting down beside him, she looked around and out to sea once more; it was all quiet and barren. Something she usually would take as a bad sign but she was sure any creature with sense would have ran and not returned at the sight of Shadow and that creature duking it out. Chuckling softly though, she gave him a light mock punch to the arm and grinned. "Bah, shush you; you like the constant headache and uncertainty I bring along." Kay teased, leaning back as she put her paws on the sand behind her to do so.

"Pfft...magical snakes..What's next..7 foot tall biologically enhanced soldiers called Spartans?" he mused as he waved a paw dismissively. He finally sat up and brushed the sand from his back and out from his hair. He could already tell he was going to have sand everywhere for the next few days.

"Hey now..I enjoy stress, but there's a limit" he scoffed jokingly at the punch and comment. He looked out to the sea trying to find any sign of life out there that may have been two battling brutes. All he could see were seemingly endless waves.

He sighed and grunted as he rolled to his feet and brushed sand off where he could, then looked at his watch. Almost noon. "Perhaps we should go back to the cabin...not much else we can do out here today"

Raising a brow and watched the male as if he had grown a second head and began the chicken dance, her head tilted as she slowly rose herself onto her paws. "Uh....are you joking or something?" Kay herself knew well of the Spartans, remembering well the girl times she had with Koyuki; her first female house guest. Of course she had never met the mate of her first real 'girlfriend' of sorts...but she had become well acquainted with her brash and rather tall daughter Nariko; who might have well been a full spartan if not for her mother's amazing beauty. Not to mention the full fledged bitching she had to endure from both Trovalius and Drake about Jerome's actions on a few occasions....

Brushing herself off no less, the vixen followed his momentary gaze back out to see; wondering what kind of battle ensued under the protections of the sea depths. "Sounds like a plan....even if they come back I'm sure there's little we could get involved in anyways..." Kay sighed softly, setting off in the direction off the rock shelf. Tail swaying lazily behind her, she kept an eye over the ground for anything - just in case; looking back over her shoulder to make sure Banes was coming as well.

He rolled his eyes as she apparently thought he was serious. "No, I know about Spartans." he scoffed, shaking his head a bit and sighing lightly. Sometimes he had to wonder if she had her brain screwed on right. How could he possibly be that specific with something like THAT. Oh well.

"Exactly" he commented as he started the trudge down the beach, glancing over occasionally to see if anything was about to break surface, sure enough nothing did. He shimmied his way down the rocks and waited for Kay to get there, so he could help her down, or at least try to. "So any thoughts for what to do in the afternoon?" he asked while he waited

With a grin stretching over her paw, the vixen reached up to tuck a bit of her hair behind her ears. Chuckling mostly to herself as she followed, she realized it might have been a bit foolish to believe he was serious....but alas, she'd never been very good with sarcasm like that. "Just checking, Banes, since its obvious you don't know about the magical snakes like that one!" She joked, watching his form disappear off the rocks and down tot he beach below as she too neared the edge.

Looking down, she remembered it not being so high before and crouched down. Looking over the rocks to see how she got up in the first place to head back down, she didn't see it anyways. "Gee, this didn't seem so high when I jumped down it yesterday..." She muttered as Kay was well aware she was probably pumped with adrenalin from that creature and the Medabot, but still.

"I'm not sure what we should do....maybe take it easy? This is supposed to double as my vacation you know..." Smiling, the vixen sat down on the ledge and noticed he was still standing and waiting. "You going to catch me?" A playful sort of grin spread on her lips, not really expecting him to but at least a grab in case she face planted would be nice!

"Oh don't get me started on those magical snakes" he mused, obviously poking some fun at her. He shook his head once more and tapped his foot while waiting, soon seeing her head come from above, and a comment soon to follow. It was quiet, so he didn't quite catch what she had to say, but it was probably for the better as his gaze trailed back to the still calm sea...he swore something would just leap out if he didn't look.

He looked back over though as Kay managed to start talking to where he could hear her. "Pfffft....Vacation. That's overrated you know" he scoffed, joking of course again. Looking up as she seemed to be looking at him, then asking a question he couldn't resist answering with sarcasm. "No..I thought I'd just let you fall" he said with a small smirk

"Aye....they're a dangerous bunch!" Kay laughed merrily, feeling for the first time a bit at ease despite the recent events. At least she knew what was going on, what they were up against....and had at least the ace Shadow up their sleeve. Noting he kept glancing to the sea as much as she did was calming in itself, if he was still concerned, then she felt better about her own need to look out and see if anything was going on.

"Overrated! I like my time being aloof and worry free....even if its remotely worry free. I don't want wrinkles in the next five years!" Grinning, the vixen gave a playful gasp. "And here I thought you were a gentleman, Banes. Way to prove me wrong with your sinister intentions!" Giggling lightly as she just couldn't help herself, prepping as she held onto the ledge lightly. "Annnddd, here I go!" She announced and gave a little push off the ledge to slide off with ease.

"That they are" he replied, paying very little attention to what she was actually doing than he should have been.

"Wrinkles are inevitable though" he chuckled, shaking his head and moving closer to the shoreline, just staring out to sea. Why he had refused to look away was remotely beyond him, but there was just something about letting his guard down he didn't like.

"Gentleman? Where ever did you get that idea" he remarked with a hint of sarcasm, shaking his head, but with his back turned he didn't note Kay about to jump off the ledge. It wasn't until she said something that he broke his gaze on the sea to turn and look over his shoulder. If she could make it yesterday, then odds are it would not have been a problem now
