We're talking about the final boss (EB). I know the secret is out there and everything, but I don't like to come out and ruin the story for others. I had a good guess as to what the EB is because of how people dressed soon after zOMG came out... but... no one directly stated and ruined the story for me so I try to do the same for others. XD;

The typical soloist build should be:

[attack], [attack], [attack], [heal], [buff], [buff], [buff], [extra]

You should have 2 - 4 attacks. One healing ring. (Diagnose and Bandage are the only two healing rings. Wish can't be used on yourself. Healing Halo and Meat are buffs.) And fill the rest with buffs. Divinity is pretty much a given.
This build also works for crews in general because most crews don't have dedicated tanks or healers.

When in a crew, that all changes. XD You don't need six divinities. And if you've got a smart crew, you plan ahead of time so that you have as many different buffs as possible.
And in Papa Saw, a well buffed crew rarely needs to heal. It's not good to have no heal ring though. You shouldn't force others to waste their stamina to heal you if you're mobbed. (Unless you have a dedicated healer.)

And, well, in Papa Saw, you're expected to fight and throw heals to your neighbors when they need a heal. I rarely have to heal myself. I don't know why. I attack and heal others constantly so I should be gathering hate, but I don't. Since I don't have to heal myself, I might as well help others out. I'm often THE reason for why someone lived. ;D It's more entertaining than just standing and attacking. And it sucks to waste stamina and rage on rebuffing people so I'd rather keep a full-buffed person alive.
(I carry bandage. I can heal people who leave the group without having to leave the group myself. I heal people who aren't getting healed by diagnose.)
I had a crewmate before who refused to carry a healing ring. At least Daypaw said that she rarely needs to be healed. This guy constantly needed healing. After a few waves, I got tired of wasting my stamina on healing him. ...He died repeatedly after that. And I swapped crews after that fight because he was a major weak link.
*laughs* Actually, the reason why I know I'm keeping people alive is that they usually die after I stop healing them. If someone constantly rewrites my buff with a weak one or constantly starts the fight too early or keeps doing stupid s**t without listening, I stop healing them. It's not like I'm attacking them, I just don't help keep them alive. Then they daze repeatedly. Oh well. Proves they're doing something wrong if they keep dazing repeatedly. . -.

In Papa Saw, at least one AOE ring is needed since there are more saws than people, yep. <3 Fire rain is usually the best choice. It's strong and has a large area of effect. Dervish is good too, but it has a shorter range. Hornet's next is okay, but very weak. Annddd Water Balloon is a BAD idea. It has a taunt effect.

It's a good idea to always carry a long range ring too. What you carry is up to you. Each one has a different range, strength and animation time. I really wouldn't recommend hunter's bow though.

Solar Rays was my first ring so I can't stand any of the other long range rings. It has the fastest animation and hits right away. Solar rays is rather strong and has the 2nd longest range.
(I think Gunsx3 got a major upgrade. It attacked much slower before since you had to wait forever for the stupid guns animation. That ring attacks faster is actually decent now.)

Hunter's bow has the longest range. However, it's horribly weak and it takes forever to attack. You have to wait for a little bow and arrow animation before your attack hits. It is NOT a good ring for sniping.
During the Easter event, there were many times where my sister and I got a whole server to ourselves after the servers cycled.
This situation happened many, many times:
I'm alone in the square. I use hunter's bow.
My sister runs in immediately after, uses solar rays (after I've already hit hunter's bow)...
...And she gets the egg. Her solar rays would always hit split seconds before my hunter's bow hit the egg. And she wouldn't even be in the screen when I used my attack. D:

XD;; Sorry, and here I vowed to stop talking zOMG after my last post...
Edit; That build I gave is the general reply you see when people ask for comments and critiques on their ring build. Here's a guide that backs it up: http://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/zomg-gaia-s-mmo/your-ring-build-and-you-a-mini-guide/t.60412657_1/
And Papa Saw crews pretty much use the "everyone for everyone" tactic: http://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/zomg-gaia-s-mmo/tome-of-zomg-tactics-a-new-section-to-be-added/t.58166055_8/#8

Haha sorry for the long post. XD I've played too much PS lately and guess I had pent up aggression from all the stupid crews. I'm taking a break from it for a while.
I mean, seriously, the other day I had a crew of five people. The leader said he had to step away to eat. I thought that meant for a couple minutes, not the whole fight. He left his account as a leech. It didn't help that some other dude sat and leeched. Three of us were fighting our butts off to barely stay alive. After the leader never returned and I was sure that other guy was a leech, I left before I could daze.
Okay, done with the zOMG rant. <.< >.>

I wore the FF ring the other day. I didn't notice a difference in loot drops. XD And then had to swap the ring for div because no one else in my crew had it. > <;

Oh, do continue rambling ;D I still don't really know what I'm doing so it's helpful to me.

I went into a crew the other day with someone who said, AFTER we got in and started the fight 'Hay guise I only buff' and this was after we were buffed up and they were, essentially, completely useless. They were doing nothing to earn rage, had no healing rings, and no attack rings neutral Any buffs they could have provided would have sucked had they not disconnected anyway two minutes into the fight.

I love solar rays- I've been using it since I started playing. As of right now, I'm using Solar Rays > Hack > Guns Guns Guns > Fire Rain > Fortunes Favor > Healing Halo > Divinity > Coyote Spirit.

I've got a few other rings up to a decent CL if I need to switch them out also, but that's what I'm actively using.

@Fortune: I've noticed that I'm getting more rings also, but I still can't get those damn bronze drops that I need to finish the axe T___T

i made a thread about making a fashun zomg crew but it got berried soon after
PostPosted: Sat Jun 05, 2010 7:17 pm

      Nobody would join a Fashun Crew because everyone already has one. I was thinking more of a thread, where we can talk all stuff related to zOMG!.

You mean Clan? I don't have a clan, but I'm not really interested in joining one.... The only big one is the zOMG Elite one and the rest are really tiny with like one person in them.

A thread would be fun though, as opposed to just necroing this thread whenever we have questions or want to setup an in game crew xD
