Wooooo! It's June fiiiirst! Know what that means?! Only one more month until the Guildaversaryyyyyyyy...yyyyyyy!!!
That said, it's time to announce the contests that we'll be having for it. You can join these early and be working on your entry, so that you can have it ready by the deadline. And just so you know, the deadline for the contests is July 11th which also just so happens to be.... 7/11! FREE SLURPEE DAY! ...Rath told me to add that part in. Anyway, here are the contests. To enter, just send a trade of 500g to the corresponding moderator, and PM them your entry, when you have finished with it. The reason it's a higher entry fee than normal is because the prizes are buffed! If you have any questions about a certain contest, you can also PM whoever is running it for that.
Fanart Contest Theme: FEF Couple- Crack or Canon Run by: Ganon Firenight "Draw a pairing of your choice whether it is a crack pairing or a canon pairing. Idiotic pairings will be spat upon. D<"
Fanfiction Contest Theme: How We First Met Run by: Jisen Meizuki "Write a fic about two or more characters remembering back to their first encounter"
Avatar Contest Theme: Super Heroes Run by: Marshmallow Kitty "Come up with a superhero design and a brief description of the superhero and their powers."
Spriting Contest Theme: NPC Mug | Archsage!Nino Battle and Overworld Sprite Run by: Nomad Rath "Two separate divisions for two separate forms of spriting. Choose whichever one you would like, or both."
Photography Contest Theme: Nature Run by: Cortesa "Capture in a picture what comes to mind when you think of nature, making sure that it has at least one plant in it."
Design the Fire Emblem Contest Theme: Our own Fire Emblem Run by: Magegirl Nino "Design a concept for our continent's very own Fire Emblem."

Just to add some rule clarifications for the fanart contest:
1) Please PM me first to confirm that you'll be entering and to tell me what couple you intend to draw. It must be an FEF pairing, meaning that with a few rare exceptions, the characters must be part of FEF. All PCs and NPCs, current and past, are allowed. Oliver and Valtome are also allowed, for the lulz.
2) Only one artist per pairing. This is just to keep us from winding up with a lot of extremely similar art. I'm keeping a list, and you can claim a pairing any time, so pairings go on a first-come, first-serve basis.
3) The art can't be old. It has to be made between now and July 11th. That should be plenty of time.
4) Don't send the trade until your art is ready, please!
And that's all. If you have any questions or wish to enter, please PM me.

When We First Met
Curious what the title met? :3 Well, if you've read that small description at the bottom of the fanfic contest, it explains about the characters' first encounter.
Give us a stroll down their memory lane. What was the character's reaction toward that person? Did the relationship change from acquaintances to more? Had the bond between them become stronger?
We've seen how the characters meet, whether it's from FE or FEF canon, but do we really see how they think on their first encounter? Well, here's your chance to show us how they first met.
--> Like Tibarn, please contact me to confirm which characters you are planning to use in the fanfic. I will explain why this is needed.
--> If you're planning to use someone's OC or the NPC, please contact the person controlling the character and ask for their permission. I will be checking to those who have given their permission of using the OC. If you did not ask their permission and made a fanfic, your fanfic will be disqualified for copyright.
--> If you're writing a fanfic involving another person's OC and you don't know what the personality of that character is, I suggest you should look up in the OC bio for more information or contact the OC's owner about it.
--> The maximum word count for the fanfic is 20,000 while the minimum is 500.
Challenge What this? What is a challenge? To the fanfic authors, a challange is where the author challenges those to write a fanfic under certain conditions. It's quite similar to contest with a theme, but more. Or in terms of FE, it's quite similar to FE game to get a certain chapter/item/character under certain conditions. :3
You don't need to pay extra fee for the challenge. However, you will have special prize if you accept the challenge. So what are the challenges? Well, here are the challenges. You can choose either one or you can do both.
Critters - How did the character and the critter first met? Song of Friendship - Write a songfic about friendship. Embarrassing Moments - Nobody likes to remember their first awkward encounter.
If you have any questions to ask, feel free to PM me or contact me through AIM.

So, you all read the thing above, right? Well, just a few quick notes for you guys about the photography contest.
→ As far as rules go it's the usual except for one thing, as mentioned in the description: at least one plant needs to be in the picture. It could be a tree, a leaf, a flower, some grass, or something else. You can use artificial plants, only if it's somehow coupled with a real one. I know I said the theme is nature, and nature can be represented without plants, but . . . I like plants. Deal with it. ( On a side note, I would prefer if the picture was taken this year, but I won't deny you if it isn't. And no pictures used before in a contest of mine, photography-contest veterans! )
→ No fancy-shmancy writing snippet is needed this time! I only need your picture.
→ I'm actually going to be out of town on July 11th with no computer access. Because of this, my contest won't officially start voting until the day I get back, which is the 19th. And because of that, the deadline for my contest, and mine alone, will be extended to that date. the 20th, which means the deadline is extended for my contest as well.
→ Some of the slots are already filled! I'm (obviously) only accepting ten people, because that's the limit I can deal with using Gaia's polls. So, although there's no rush, the sooner the picture is sent, the better chances you have of actually getting in!

Just like everyone else, here are some clarifications or notes for the Avatar Contest in case anyone isn't quite sure how it'll work.
♪) As Fefga's description states, you're going to be creating a superhero design to go along with a basic superhero idea and their superpowers. Creativity is applauded. (That doesn't mean you can't use 'standard' superpowers; there are plenty of ways to make 'standard' superpowers more interesting.)
♦) Since Gaia's polls only go up to 10 slots, I will only accept that many entries. It's just easier that way. My apologies.
§) Please don't send your trades until you have sent me your actual entry. PM me both the avatar (an actual avatar) and your description. Take a screenshot or right-click your avatar to view it by itself to save it and link me that way; if you simply save the avatar's image location and show it to me, the image will change as you change your avatar.
↔) If you have any other issues or questions, PM me.
//Edit//
◘) No Tekteks, please. Actual avatars only. Loading your entry up with expensive items does NOT guarantee victory. It's about creativity, people! C:

Apologies for not posting my advanced rules, sooner.
»→) I will be having two separate divisions. They are basically two different contests under the same overall category. However, since they are separate, they both cost 500g to enter. If you plan to enter both divisions, the cost will be 1000g.
»→)The NPC mug contest is only limited to characters who are actual NPCs. The characters can be allies or villains, crew made or member made, dead or alive.
»→) For the battle and overworld division, you need both a battle and an overworld sprite to have a completed entry. The battle sprite is only limited to your own imagination. I don't care what weapon is used, if one is used.
»→) I think it would be nice to have some variety of NPCs, so if you plan to join, inform me of who you are choosing to make a mug for. I will tell you if somebody else has chosen that NPC.
»→) Like the others, don't send the trade until your entry is ready, and the maximum number of people that can join each division is 10, first come first serve.
If you still have questions after reading this, just ask me.

Rules for the Design the Fire Emblem Contest=) I'm hosting a contest this time. Yaaay~! Basically, you are designing an item, be it a weapon, key, item, whatever, to be the Fire Emblem of our Continent. It's a relic from Estarcia and that's all we know so far. So. Send me a picture of your design concept for the Fire Emblem. > Can be anything that would fit into the era that we are in. (Has to be Fire Emblem-y....?) > Do not splice or recolor things. > Do not submit items or "altered" items that already exist in FE games. > Pg-13 please... No sex toy Fire Emblems.... > No living things. The Fire Emblem shall be an inanimate object. (No dead things either, Please. XD) > The drawing does not have to be perfect, but please include as much detail as possible. You can even have multiple drawings on the same image, if needed. > Coloring is not mandatory, but appreciated. > You may add notes next to the picture if there's anything special about the item itself. (Stipulations, size description... Etc...) > Power does not need to be chosen since it was revealed in Forces Reunite. However, since it is only a power 'category', feel free to come up with details into what all it can do. Okay~! I can't wait to see your entries~!
