Shun's family was known for two things, one was for their exquisite taste in arts, and the other was for Yukito's fascination with swords. Yukito's captain office is a testament to both of those facts, everything that one sees upon entering was lifted directly from his room, showcasing fine tiles and walls, elegant ornaments, intricate paintings and designs on the wall, and of course a rack full of ladened with masterfully crafted swords. Some are merely for decoration, and would most likely break when damaged, but some are genuine steel-forged blades, their form and figure showcases elegance and lethality, something Yukito tries to mimic.

Nonetheless, despite all of the beautiful artifacts strewn about, an office is still an office and Yukito is aware of this. Which is why he tries to keep conversations held within his office, formal and work-oriented. However, he is not so rude as to wave off well-meaning conversations from fellow Shinigami, just keep it brief and significant, lest he test out one of those deadly beauties he keeps near his table.

Inside his office, Yukito placed the last of his paperwork on top of his desk, rubbing his shoulders for a job well done. Oddly enough, he soon found out that a Captain spends more time doing such tasks than the head of a house. Though he wasn’t exactly complaining, it was still something Yukito found to be a little bit misplaced. Rubbing his temples a bit, Yukito heard the sound of a knock from his door, most likely someone from his Divison. Putting away the finished paperwork, Yukito bid the person behind the door to come in ”Come in.” he spoke as he waited for the person to enter

Looking at Daichi silently, Yukito waited for the man to speak, as he assumed that he would be the one to take the initiative. Noticing the nature of his stare, Yukito knew he was observing him, something that Yukito found odd, but he chose not to comment on it. Slightly raising a brow as Daichi suddenly grinned, though only slightly; Yukito was genuinely surprised by his sudden request. Looking at him, Yukito remembered him to be the Lieutenant of his Divison, Daichi Yamazaki, from what he could recall, he had been the Lieutenant of the former Eight Division Captain, and was quite popular amongst the members for his assistance to his Captain.

The fact that he had such a competent Lieutenant was something that gave Yukito pride and confidence, but his request was still odd, to say the least. Looking at him straight in the eye, Yukito could see that he was no stranger to fighting, nor the pain and glory that came with it. Someone of his experience was most likely serious when it came to this sort of things. Deciding that it would be impolite to decline such a formal invite to a duel, Yukito stood up from his chair and locked the drawers in his table. Readjusting his zanpakuto, which was tied closely to his side, Yukito faced the man and finally spoke out ”Eight Division Captain, Yukito Shun.” he stated in a monotone voice ”As curious as your sudden challenge may be, I accept it. However, I’d ask that you kindly state your full name first, as it is only proper.” his eyes fixed upon Daichi, neither cold nor fierce, a literal calm before the storm ”Now, where shall we fight? A room built for office work is rarely conducive for fighting.”

Akusuna entered the Eighth Squad's grounds and walked towards the Captain's Office. He had not met with the man yet, but could tell that it was fairly busy here. Knocking on the door, Akusuna waited outside for a while, wondering if anyone would be here too. He was in no rush, so he could wait a while anyway.
