"Ask me another question then," Howl replied with a shrug. "As far as I can tell, I've done well. I've made friends, gotten threatened by a vampire... My memory's been bad though," he confessed, out of the blue. "I haven't been able to remember half the things I know I used to know. I forgot all about Ingary right as I grew, and I still don't remember certain spells. I don't act the way I know I'm supposed to act. Do you know how to fix that?"
Calcifer gave Aaron a smug smile. Or rather, a smirk. "I like you," he said. "You know how to appreciate a fire demon's hard work."

Darcy seemed interested. Memory issues, huh? She'd have to ask Sophie if she suffered the same ailment. The girl tucked that little mental note into the back of her mind. "I'm sure you'll regain your memory with time." she assured the boy, patting his arm. "If not, come back and we'll see what we can do."
Aaron simply smiled, nodding. "Of course. Hard work deserves appreciation." he said, obviously speaking from first-hand experience. Being Darcy's brother was no easy task.

Howl frowned slightly. Was that Darcy's way of telling him she couldn't fix it? "So if it doesn't come back, I come back here, and you try to fix it?" he asked, doubtfully. "I had to read the books to know what I do."
"Exactly," Calcifer agreed. "You wouldn't believe how much work Howl makes me do--" he was about to continue when Howl looked over.
"Don't let him fool you, Aaron. He's got an extremely easy life," the wizard said.

Darcy nodded. "That's the idea." she said, offering a not-too-apologetic smile. "It should return on it's own, so you shouldn't worry too much about it, Howl." The orange haired girl was trying not show how intrigued she was by the poor boy's situation. Really, she should have been trying to be more helpful, but....she wanted to see how things worked out on their own.
Aaron glanced between Calcifer and Howl, not sure who to believe. So he decided to make a neutral move and just nod silently.
