The child was heading towards Shinji in that screeching speed of his 'Two Steps'. Putting all of his might into every single step, he continued to charge his opponent that seemed to be planning something himself. Leaning forwards a little Zin neared his target, almost taking him through the stomach as he aimed to do but something was odd. Nagi and his snake that clamped on the child's shoulder noticed Shinji was exhibiting chakra but in his legs this time. This brought up a little problem to the equation as it seemed like Shinji was trying to augment his legs to give him a burst of speed. Zin could only conclude that because that was one of the many factors that gave him the speed he was exhibiting currently.
It wasn't long after the report from his slithering companions when Shinji himself fired away from his location going from a stand still. Zin wasn't phased by the rocks and other various fragments that launched into the air after Shinji's 'disappearance' as the boi did his best to try and catch his opponents scent and lock onto it. The child smirked,I see... So he's been hiding that kind of speed all along. How irritating. The maneuver Shinji had utilized would have thrown Zin off his game plan if it was the simple 'Three Steps Under Shukuchi'. But, with 'Two Steps' the mobility of his technique in addition to the speed it produced would make it extremely hard to dodge in mere bursts. Zin didn't catch Shinji immediately after his small departure but once his 'snake scouts' caught his scent, the child's eyes lashed over his shoulder to see Shinji running little ways away."You can not escape!!!"He hissed darkly as the child did an odd aerial shoulder roll, in which he landed quite nimbly on his right toe which bent down to the weight of the child before the explosive speed was once more initiated. This time, Zin had him where he wanted in in which he'd use a technique that from his bloodline to ensure Shinji's demise.
When the jutsu was called, the child didn't even give it mind as he saw the earthen spiked 'barrier' build up around Shinji. But instead of slowing down and re-assessing the situation, that predator had found his prey trying to hide in it's home as Zin launched himself into the air. From all the speed he built up, the young Naga would look like a mere blur streaking a little ways across the spiked prison Shinji pushed himself in. With him coming at an angle, Zin would most definitely catch his opponent off guard with him being so 'snug' in the barrier that he produced. Within the seconds of his aerial plot, the boy would use the ever fabled battojutsu draw to pull out his blade and plunge the essence of 'Amaterasu' into his opponent. With chakra wildly emitting from the child, he couldn't help but have the blade drain some of that untamed energy to ignite red flames which replaced the pearly white blade with a burning red glow. But how in the world would Zin reach over ten feet of deathly spears? It was quite simple if you have the blood of the Naga in you as through 'Soft Body Manipulation' his arm would would extend to stab Shinji in that solar plexus that he's attempted to rupture since the beginning of the fight. Hopefully, Zin would deliver that deadly strike seeing as Shinji had trapped himself in a hole.
If he stabbed him, Zin would utilize his magnified strength to push the blade firmly and impale him against the very spears that were meant to keep him protected. Either way, Zin had reached his ultimate limit as that last bit of chakra pushed him over the edge as his heart seized up on him again. The child wouldn't even have time to gasp as his body went rigid and the chakra that had gave him the power of a Demi now left him with the reaper to claim his vengeance on the boy for utilizing the unholy technique. Like a sack of potato's hitting the ground, the young Naga's body slammed against the ground completely emotionless as his breathing was quite minimal. Nagi and the snake took it upon themselves to watch over their master as they looked to the spires their master's enemy lay to see if he indeed was successful with his attack.Chakra: 1 Demon Gates: Recovery StageE Ranked Techniques: 13 D Ranked Techniques: 9 C Ranked Techniques: 3 B Ranked Techniques: 3 A Ranked Techniques: 1 S Ranked Techniques: 0 Equipment: *Amaterasu sad Un-Sheathed) - Maybe impaled in enemy *Two 5 feet pieces of ninja wire. Konaga Shinji | Konaga Clan | Speed/Offensive Type | Iwagakure | Genin | The plan had not gone as he had hoped as he heard no sounds of pierced skin or a tortured opponent being skewered by his technique. With the stone spears all around him, his attack hitting nothing. Shinji found himself somewhat boxed in in a precarious location. Whether it was the stress of the situation or something else, waves of pain immediately descended on him as Shinji was trapped in agony... all of his limbs burning with pain as if each one were lit on fire simultaneously. the feeling then spread to his whole body as he suffered the effects of his bloodline, his chakra raging from within him, punishing him for it's use so far in the fight.
It wasn't long however before Shinji was forced to push himself beyond the pain once more as a shadow was cast down on him from above. Catching a glimpse of his opponent from above, it was clear that the boy had somehow, with his speed managed to escape and was now launching a counter attack from above. Having nowhere to move, Shinji was consoled with the thought that the boy would have a hard time reaching him... but it was quickly shattered as he saw the young boy somehow grotesquely elongate his arm like a serpent the white, snake like protrusion carrying his sword which coated itself in red flames and flew directly towards his back.
The danger only seemed to motivate Shinji however as is mind clicked, his chakra moving within him almost on instinct as it was gathered within him and employed to it's task. Of all things Shinji could call himself, 'Defensive' was not really one of them, but what he lacked in overall strategy he made up for with split second decisions and cunning. He may be trapped... but it was in a prison of his own creation, and he still controlled it. Pushing down on the earth, Shinji's chakra flowed into the spears all around him, as the denser, larger spears grew, emerging from the surface at interlocking angles above him. Normally such a technique would be used to rip the spears from the ground and utilize them as weapons... but in a clever manner, Shinji was using his own strength, offensive jutsu, and morphing it into a defensive jutsu. With a bit of a strained yell at the ground, the spears quickly grew and then shot upward from both sides of him at an angle, slamming together to form an interlocking shield above him, creating a perfect guard against Amaterasu's descent.
As the red flamed blade struck the structure, it definitely made it's mark, crashing into the rocky structure, boring through it with incredible strength to reach it's target. However, by the time it had gotten through the spears, it had lost most of it's momentum and was thrown off course enough to completely miss it's original target, only just barely nicking Shinji's left side. An intense pulsing wave of pain instantly shot through Shinji's body as his bloodline chakra reacted to the fire chakra which invaded it... the mere presence of the red flame, expanding the wound on Shinji's side by an inch, causing him to begin bleeding out upon the metal. gritting his teeth, Shinji winced at the pain, but would not be finished yet as he moved through a quick series of hand seals, using the stone spear above him as a shield to his opponent as he utilized the Tsuchi Gunjikoudou no Jutsu, to merge into the surface of the earth and disappear beneath it's surface.
By this time, his opponent's forward momentum through the air had to have taken him over to the other side of the stone spear riddled area, and Shinji would use his aerial position to his benefit once again. Swimming through the ground, his mind pushing through the pain as his adrenaline surged, Shinji suddenly pushed off from below, his body merging out of the earth quickly to meet Zin as he was landing. Shinji was sure such a tactic would catch his opponent off-guard as he flew into the air, spinning acrobatically in an impressive display of mid-air control. Positioning himself perfectly behind and to the left of his opponent, Shinji's left leg kicked out, the entire limb coated in his violently flaring silverish-white chakra as it aimed for the boy's side. If striking him head on, it would surely be the end of the fight as such an impact alone would severely injure the boy, if not almost kill him... not to mention the cratered impact the boy would make against the ground afterward, which was precisely the direction Shinji was kicking him towards in his follow through. The agony that would follow would be barely indescribable as even Shinji was pushing himself past the limits he normally imposed on himself... but this opponent was too strong to let up against and he refused to lose, no matte how battered his body might have been throughout the match.

In a blur of raw energy, adrenaline, and a desire to win, Shinji focused on nothing but the attack, fully expecting his more then capable and respectable opponent to defend himself from such a deadly strike. He would never had made such an attack if he didn't think it necessary, but he had promised himself earlier that he would hold nothing back in these exams and would display his true power and prove himself. In a moment of shock, Shinji felt his chakra augmented foot strike home, the energy flooding off of his leg discharging directly into his target as an explosion of force traveled into him. Cracks and splinters of what Shinji could only imagine were bone could be heard only amidst the violent screams of the chakra he exuded as the body of his opponent was flung down at the ground, falling like a meteor through the atmosphere.
Only a path of chakra embedded energy could be seen behind the descent as almost as soon as the attack connected, did the target strike the ground, the whole earth around that spot cratering at least several feet into the surface. Dust debris and rock flew in every direction from the epicenter of the crash, sending bits of rock and magma as far as 25 feet away from where Shinji's victim had landed, before a sudden explosion of magma itself shot up like a plume from below the surface engulfing everything in the area, leaving nothing behind. Shinji's eye shot wide open as he saw the attack strike home, and watched as his target struck the earth violently. Only seconds later, Shinji himself landed on the ground, his legs burning furiously as he was brought to his knees, his bloodline chakra flaring up once again, flooding his body with agony just as the plume of lava appeared.
Closing his eyes afterward, still unable to stand, after a minute of pulsating agony and a sensation of burning as if he himself was consumed in that plume of lava, Shinji's eyes shot open, burning with anger as he looked up to find the Jounin who had not done his job and saved Zin, but the man was gone. Then in an instant, the man appeared again, just as a small fragment of splintered and burnt wood landed in front of Shinji, directly before he saw Zin's figure placed gently on the ground beside it. "As expected Shinji-san... you messed that Kawarimi log up. Good thing I was watching carefully. Your opponent had slipped into a coma midair after using whatever technique that was that he used. He would never have been able to defend against that. Congratulations... you're in the finals."
All Shinji could do was let out a small giggle as his shoulders lumped down, his body finally taking the opportunity to relax as Shinji released his forced control which made it move. On his knees, a smile crossed his face as Shinji was glad to see he had not killed his opponent. it would be a shame to see such a worthy adversary killed just when Shinji had come to respect his combat prowess. It seemed that they were more alike then it had seemed even at first... for if Shinji knew anything, it was the repercussions of using double-edged sword techniques such as what Zin had utilized. Sitting there, looking down at the boy who was out cold, he noted that he had even more damage on him then himself, having taken the full brunt of the empowered Mud river technique... and still, he continued on. "Impressive..." were the only words that came out of his mouth before the Jounin proctor flashed through several hand seals, touching each of the Genin once again on the shoulders as they were wrapped in a bright white light and taken away from the volcanic wasteland, back to the arena.

{{And yes, Panthers and I came to an agreement in PMs that this is what would have happened. After he hit the three post limit after his 'Demon Gate' activation, he said his character would slip into a coma... so yeah, the proctor would step in.}}
