He was, however, amused by Hibiki's next tactic and more-than-likely thought process. "Don't lie to yourself, Hibiki-kun." Staring indifferently, a small, very smug smirk appeared at the corner of his mouth as he turned his head and allowed the Sōkatsui to strike his ear. A little know fact about Hei's earrings was that they were miniature Spiritual Power Exchangers. They were worn by him for the specific purpose of absorbing the minimal amounts of pressurized Reiryoku that escaped from his seal, the small amount that could not be held in, and trap it, then quickly convert it into Reishi to supplement the environment. For such a use, they lasted for years on end before breaking apart due to overuse. However, each earring had the capability of rapidly absorbing a Reiryoku-based object and convert it to Reishi and spread it into the air. After that one use, the earring would shatter and obviously be rendered useless.
This is exactly what happened to the Hadō Hibiki had used, it was sucked into his earring and converted, leaving Hei to be unscathed, though slightly bothered by the intense heat that had been momentarily at his ear. The process happened in less than two seconds, leaving him to plunge his katana towards Hibiki's stomach while he would likely be distracted by such an anomaly he had never seen before. "Forgetting who I am is a mistake. Regardless, I reiterate, don't lie to yourself. If you had complete confidence in that Hadō landing, you would have used the larger, more powerful Sōren Sōkatsui rather than it's lesser parent version. But since you lacked such confidence, you opted for the one that used less Reiryoku. How does that sound? Spot on, am I?" It wasn't that he actually knew what Hibiki was thinking, but more that he had a rough estimate of it. It was simple psychology and applied tactics. Removing his blade provided it stabbed him, Hei did a small forward flip and brought his foot down towards Hibiki's head, vanishing after it was to hit. in a flutter of robes, he appeared standing mid-air, thirteen feet to the right and seven feet into the air. "Now, how about that Bankai?" He patiently asked, looking down at the Captain.

Hibiki was surprised, to say the least, that Hei neither blocked nor counter-attacked the Hado, but instead absorbed it into a device, an earring no less. Before he could make a comment or move a step, Hei's katana lunged towards him aiming for his stomach. The blade pierced his abdomen, but he managed to move to avoid having his vital organs pierced, with the blade plunged into him he grabbed the blade and held it in place with his steel gauntlets. "You're right, I didn't have confidence that weak Hado spell would hit you." he then held out his free hand and pointed it towards Hei, in the blink of an eye, Oni no Kaze was already about to make contact with Hei's backside. Hibiki had left the Shikai projectile hidden in his haori when he had performed Utsusemi to avoid Hei's previous attack, now he simply commanded it to go back to him, in a speed as fast as Shunpo. However, the 9th Squad Captain was far from finished "Bakudō #61: Rikujōkōrō." six thin, but wide beams of light would then impale Hei in six directions, holding him in place. "Hadō #54: Haien" a purple blast then erupted from Hibiki's free hand, aiming to incinerate Hei upon contact. All in all, Hei would be pierced in the back by Oni no Kaze, locked in place by Rikujokoro and incinerated by Haien, provided the 12th Squad Captain didn't activate Shikai or Bankai.

It was simply down to bad pairing: Hei was stronger than Hibiki. Though he didn't initially tug it free, he did his flip and kick and then after the end of his rotation, he yanked the blade from Hibiki's grasp and reappeared away from the Captain. What he did next was simply genius, even for him. For the Bakudo, Hei jumped up, mostly out of it's range, and struck down all but one of the beams with his light beams. The remaining beam dug itself into his right forearm where it stayed. He was now parallel to the ground, having jumped backwards: the shuriken narrowly missing his body and only grazing his frozen arm as it traveled underneath him. He timed it such that the Haien was to strike the Shuriken and try to burn it, but likely to no avail. Snapping his fingers, Hei wordlessly drew a garganta for the Shuriken to travel into. At the last second, just before the Garganta closed, Hei held his left hand like a mock-gun and shot a beam of light inside, then snapped his fingers again. Hei drew the exit end of the Garganta mere inches behind Hibiki, allowing for both his own shuriken and Hei's light beam to strike him in the back. About this time, Hei was finishing his back flip. He landed on a Reishi platform and let his right arm hang limp at his side. "Bankai please." He stated calmly, staring down at Hibiki with a look of normal indifference plastered across it.

Hibiki cursed as Hei was able to pull, not only himself but as well as his katana, free. All but one of Hibiki's Rikujokoro struck Hei, for him the fact that at least one of his attacks hit Hei was enough. He already knew that Oni no Kaze would collide with his Haien, the Shikai projectile merely sustained a few burn marks on its surface as its speed was far too fast to be stopped by a fairly low level Hado. In fact, the only thing that Hei did that truly surprised Hibiki was when he opened a Garganta to create a tunnel for Oni no Kaze and a light beam attack of his to pass through. It was not the redirection of attacks that surprised him, but the Garganta itself, on high alert, he was able to noticed the Garganta tear open behind him, sending Oni no Kaze and Hei's light beam towards him from his backside. He jumped upwards to avoid the light beam, and stretched out his palm to catch the incoming Shikai projectile, condensing spirit particles on his feet, he Air Walked as he faced Hei, once again mocking him to use his Bankai "Shut it. I'll use it when I want to, ya' p***k." he spat out as he dusted off some of the burn marks on Oni no Kaze's surface, resting for a while. "Yo, was that Garganta an artificial one, or a genuine Hollow Garganta?" he asked, suspicious of Hei "Because to me it seemed like the real deal. Unless this room doubles as a Garganta creator or something." his eyes narrowed as he looked at Hei, he never did like his secretive nature, but this one, he just couldn't let it go without answers. If Hei was, what he suspected him to be, then he and the Gotei 13 have a lot of questions to answer as to why they didn't inform him.

Up to the part where he mentioned Garganta, he was motionless; It only took him to refuse Bankai for Hei to react. Even after he moved he was still very motionless to Hibiki. The reason behind this was because he used Raisoku Shundo, a more controlled version of it that allowed him to leave behind very convincing afterimages of himself. Hei moved quickly from his spot, leaving behind the afterimage and came up to Hibiki's left side, baring his only working elbow towards Hibiki's shoulder in a hard, swift strike. He remained fully invisible to the naked eye as he did so, only appearing solidly once he connected. His body would be trailing light particles for a short while before he was completely visibly apparent. Assuming Hibiki had the speed and reaction time to dodge, he would simply keep going in the same direction until he came to a stop. However, due to the distraction and Hei's speed, it was very unlikely. His afterimage remained, still staring at Hibiki until it disappeared after about twenty seconds. After his strike, Hei spoke up. "You are as stubborn as the records say." He remarked, throwing Hibiki's question to the wind and ignoring it.

Hibiki waited for Hei's response, wondering why he was so silent, so motionless. Had he the sufficient skill, he probably would've realized that we was talking to a mere afterimage, as it didn't possess nearly enough reiatsu as Hei, however this was not the case. "Oi, you constipated or something?" just as he finished his sentence, Hei appeared on his left side, his elbow had already connected with Hibiki's shoulder. Due to the fact that his Zanpakuto called for fast reflexes to keep up with it, he was able to avoid the full brunt of the attack by going with the attack's direction, turning to his left side he reduced the damage done to his shoulder by riding Hei's elbow, using it to push him counter-clockwise. After this was done, he back-flipped to get some distance between them, sparing a quick glance to where the afterimage was, Hibiki saw it disappear in a manner different to how the Utsusemi afterimage disappears, he therefore rationalized that it was another effect of Hei's Raisoku Shundo. "So your computers are smart enough to know my personality, eh?" he spoke, landing on the cold, snow-covered field of the tundra. Hei had dismissed his question, Hibiki hated that fact, then again he expected as much "Bakudō #21: Sekienton." Hibiki placed his hand on the snow and from it erupted a large cloud of smoke that concealed him from Hei's vision. Then from the cloud of smoke, two Hainawa energy ropes burst forth, each from opposite directions, they snaked through the air and went towards Hei, aiming to ensnare his arms and lock them in place.

Hei said in passing as Hibiki used yet another Kido on him, much to his disappointment. Hei maintained an uninterested look upon his face as two Hainawa landed on his body and snaked themselves around his upper body, pinning his arms to his side. "Seriously though. Is this not getting old for you? You using such mundane techniques and me batting them aside with ease? Use your Bankai or I will simply leave this place. If you think that isn't so bad, just remember who can move faster and who knows the way out of this room. I doubt you do, not in these conditions. The door is difficult to find, you know. I'm sure you don't fancy searching every square inch of the room for days in these temperatures." Hei stared hm down mundanely and then broke free of all three Kido through sheer force of will.

"Shut it will you?" Hibiki spoke as he suddenly appeared behind Hei, his left hand stretched out in front of him and his right hand tucked away behind him. "Bakudō #30: Shitotsu Sansen" his left hand then quickly drew a triangle in front of him, imbuing them with spirit energy. Once it was formed, the tips of the triangle formed fang-like protrusions and shot out towards Hei at near point blank range. "Think you know what comes next?" spoke Hibiki as he then stretched out his hand towards Hei, the Sekienton smoke was still present, hiding whatever was inside from Hei's sight. His attack finished, for now, Hibiki replied to Hei's threat to leave "Then I guess I'll just have to wreck this place to find the door then, huh? It wouldn't be called needless destruction of property since you are threatening me by leaving here." he grinned a bit, a mocking grin nothing more. He would await Hei's response to his attack, it wouldn't take that much effort, he had already dodged the attack previously after all.

Hei held himself loosely and appeared to be off guard for the moment. "Have it your way. This place won't break apart so easily, you know. It's my training room, after all. You'd sooner run out of energy than actually break the room apart. And with these temperatures, I'm afraid you'd freeze to death while doing so." His words came monotonous as the Captain was behind Hibiki in a fraction of a second, walking off in another direction and having completely dodged his Kido. He lazily waved his right hand dismissively and then buried it inside his pocket. "Goodbye." This action taken by Hei was a last ditch effort to get Hibiki to use Bankai and try to come after him. If he did, he would stay, if he tried anything else, Hei would leave completely.

Hibiki was dumbstruck, he slowly lowered himself to the ground as he watched Hei simply walk off. Then, anger and spite started to fill his face as his entire body started to shake in frustration "Where the hell do you think you're going!?" he yelled, stomping his foot on the ground crunching the snow underfoot. He called out to Hei a few times before resorting to throwing snowballs at him, as well as a few rocks whenever he could find them. After a while he stopped and shouted at Hei "Fine! But only if you agree to use your Bankai as well. Deal?" he bit his lip after speaking, irritated by the fact that he was actually giving in to Hei's demands, but he was in need of training and he oh so wanted to rough Hei up for as long as he could remember. With that he waited for Hei's response, his zanpakuto was nowhere in sight though, maybe it was still inside the Sekienton perhaps, he would recall it once he needed it, and he probably will soon.

The rock caught on fire and fell to the ground, only to be put out by the ice beneath while the snowballs just melted. When Hibiki finished talking, Hei turned away and kept walking. "No deal." He snapped his fingers and disappeared into a newly opened garganta, making sure Hibiki did not follow and was gone once it shut.

Hibiki Kirisho  Hibiki stood there, frozen for a few minutes in utter disbelief. The snow started to pile on top of his still figure as his eyes looked at the spot where Hei disappeared. Only the winds of the tundra were heard until "You arrogant, bathrobe-wearing f*ck-hole!" he yelled out into nothing as he went into Bankai, purely out of rage. His Shikai weapon had been hidden using a Kido spell, but it tore it to shreds as it transformed into an enormous cyclone. "I swear, once I'm done with this sh*t-box of yours, I'm going to beat you up so bad, you'll be eating pre-chewed carrots!" with that he switched to a full-Tengu mode and threw the chakram forward, using multiple-Toris to stay behind it as it continued to fly forward, eventually hitting the edge of the room. Upon finding the wall, Hibiki switched to Uchiwa, condensed all the blades into a single chakram and began beating on the wall. [Time skip to 2-3 days] The Shinigami of Squad 9 are usually comparable to bees, buzzing around here and there to meet their deadlines. However, ever since Hibiki was 'trapped' inside Hei's 'sparring room' the Shinigami have become quite lax. "Hey, ya' guys know when Hibiki-taicho is coming back?" asked one of the staff members "Dunno, but wherever he is, he should stay there for a few more days. This 'vacation' of ours is the best thing he's ever given us." replied one of the others. They laughed for a bit as they continued to lounge around near their training grounds. Whether or not they, or any one else for that matter, would ever find out about Hibiki's whereabouts is a mystery. "Get me out of here!"[There, I posted. Go and don't laugh at my non-funny post.]
