Haku listened as Sakurai told him why he was out so late. Then the boy asked how he could live here with the candelabra. The answer to that was quite simple really. He was the candelabra ghost. Though he'd rather not tell him that yet. He wasn't an amazing person now and he wasn't when he was alive either. The gratitude and compliment were nice to recieve though.

"Thank you Kock-san. I'm not an amazing person however. I can continue living here because I know that the candelabra is harmless. That's it," he said. I am also the candelabra ghost and am unable to leave until my master returns. He didn't say that out loud however.

He glanced back up at the clock and stood. He collected his candelabra and looked back at Sakurai. "It is getting late and I am sure you are tired. You can spend the night here if you wish and leave tomorrow. I will have your food delivered to your room," he said.

Sakurai was a bit surprised to hear that the floating candelabra simply existed. And those words had been coming from the person who lived with the strange haunt. In that case, why were so many people afraid of it? He had been convinced that it haunted people for the sake of hurting them in any way, but it seemed that he and whoever believed the rumors were wrong.

When Haku got ready to leave and soon spoke, Sakurai merely nodded in response. "Okay," he said, "as long as you're fine with it." That paranoid feeling that had been with him before still clung to him with a great yet harmless strength. He wanted to ask more questions, specifically regarding the strange ghostly aura of the house that had reached the outside, but he didn't want to accidentally trouble his kind host.

He then wondered what his parents were doing at home. Knowing them, his mother was probably sobbing to pieces and his dad was staring out the window. There was no way either of them could sleep knowing their son hadn't come home and there was a storm outside. If only they knew where he was, where he was actually staying for the moment.

Thinking about this, Sakurai wondered if this particular house had any phones. Probably not, since he hadn't seen any, but he couldn't entirely be sure. Maybe he could ask Haku, but it seemed a little too late now. Besides, his parents probably wouldn't hear their phone ring amongst all the sobbing and constant muttering that might be present in their new home.

Haku nodded an led him to a well taken care of room. It was a fancy room with a canopy bed complete with drapes so it's occupent could close then and have more privacy as they slept. Sitting on a side table by the bed was Sakurai's food. Another spirit had already brought it to the room before he and Sakurai had arrived.

Haku opened the door to the room and went in first. He lit the lamps that were in the room and then set his candelabra on the window sill. He folded down the blankets so Sakurai would only need to crawl into the bed and cover himself up.

That done he picked his candelabra up once more. "Enjoy your night Kochi-san. Is there any thing else you need?" he said.

As he was led to a room, Sakurai had examined the halls. Everything seemed awfully old-fashioned, but that's what to be expected from a house that's lived for about half a century. It wasn't like old-fashioned styles were a bad thing, but they were rather interesting. If only modern styles had the same kind of thing.

Once they had arrived, he was aware that he and Haku had entered a room that was obviously well-kept. If this was a guest room, he found it hard to believe that it was. Things had changed so much that he didn't think he was even allowed to step into this room.

When Haku asked if there was anything else Sakurai needed, he decided now was the time to ask if there was a phone. "Yeah, I suppose so," he said. "You see, since I didn't plan to be here, my parents are probably really worried. Is there by any chance a phone I can use to let them know I'm okay?" For a moment, he remembered he had his cell phone with him, but last time he checked its battery had died hours ago. Besides, it had gotten drenched by the rain and probably wouldn't work anyway even if there was still some power in its battery.
