*headdesk* I was really looking forward to seeing this movie, too (I totally loved Airbender, only show me and my lil bro watch together)
Well, at least its just the dude who played Jasper- could be worse, could be Bella-Sue as Katara or Sparkle-pie himself as Aang (I think I spelled some names wrong, oh well xp )
and on the bright side, Jasper wanted to eat Bella, earns him points in my book.

Honestly, I'm not concerned about this. I mean, I saw him on the KCA's, so from what I saw, he does have some penchant for comedy.
The only thing is that I don't know if they'll be playing that much on Sokka's humor; the movie looks like it's going to be pretty serious, but I can't tell as of yet.
Just cause he got stuck in Twilight is not enough reason for me personally to freak out about him playing Sokka. For all I know at this point, hey, maybe he will play the part well .

But technically, Sokka doesn't bend anything.
Another point: Actors =/= Their characters.

Avatar was my favorite show while it was on. I even watched the series finale before it came out! (It's awesome to have a mom whose coworkers are critics.)
I know they seriously f***ed it up but I'll still see it...

Yeah, I red somewhere that the movie Sokka isn't all the funny, but how are they going to do this? Avatar The Last Airbender is funny mixed with serious and symbolyc stuff. Ying and Yang. YOU CAN'T HAVE ONE WITHOUT THE OTHER!!!! gonk

Jerba How could they make an Avatar movie without Sokka being humorous?! The same way they made a DBZ movie without Roshi being bald, lecherous, or a habitual wearer of oversized sunglasses.

There's nothing inherently wrong with that- an actor playing in a sucky film, unless the an actor's sucky acting ruins an otherwise good movie. But I don't know if he's that bad or not. Now, Kristen Stewart playing in a dramatic piece that relies heavily on emotional portrayl...I can see that ship going down in flames.
