the best thing to do is spay the cat, a.k.a desex him. I doubt he will be much of a problem after that.
True, but then the same is true for males of most species. If you remove their nads they get depressed and gain weight. If I resorted to castration to solve all my problems boys behaving badly....hmmmm....... I can see applying that to some humans but I still think I can reason with this cat that I am not approving of his courtship.
Oh ...and the wrong kind of aggressive or violent act with cats (or the right, depending on your perspective) can be considered in the realms of flirtation.
I've taken to dropping water on him. Still no progress. I may go to lemon and chili water next.
Well, technically no, it's recommended by vet to get a male or female cat or dog, spayed or nutered (unless you want to breed him). It prevents a lot of sex organ related disease. I really recommend you should. It won't bother him at all... thousands of cats and dogs get their sex organs removed everyday. They might be in pain a few days from the surgery, but afterwords they are happy and prancing around.
