Tears had begun to well up in Blade's eyes, but he still fought them off as much as he could. He didn't want to be seen as a wimpy crybaby. How were people going to take him seriously if he was seen as one? Slowly glancing up at Atticus as the guy came by with a bag, he shakily pulled up his pants leg as he was told.
"I-it's fine really..." he whimpered, trying to sound tough. Glancing down at his knee, it seemed it got bloodied up a fair amount. Most likely he had hit a tree root or a rock as he fell.
"S-see? Just.. a scratch..." That time his voice cracked a bit.

"ahh!" poke flinched as the two bashed into each other. The adult had went to check on the other boy, so she decided to check on neko and the girl kitty.
She stopped though. They walked away before because of them, what if she made them walk away again? She was happy they were back, and she didn't want them to leave again.
Still, neko might be hurt, and she wanted to make sure he was okay. Walking over to the two kitties, she stopped again and asked the girl kitty. "Is...is he okay?"

Rubbing his head Neko sat up, eyes briefly shifting in colors before they settled back on the swirling gray they normally were. Shaking his head a bit as if that would help him regain his sense he looked to see what had hit him and found the boy from before not far off. Hearing his name he turned toward Riyo and saw someone else had joined them. "I'm alright." He said slowly though he wasn't sure if that was true...not just yet anyway. In a couple of minutes it probably would be.
---
From her hiding spot Mitsu did not move. It looked as though their game had been short lived and she was rather deflated because of it. For just a little while it would have been nice to play with others close to her age. Finally venturing out from behind the tree, Mitsu stopped a few feet away, Tobi at her side.

As soon as Atticus saw the blood, he got out his bottle of peroxide and a cotton ball. "Not gonna lie, this'll probably hurt, but it'll clean the wound." The doctor said, ignoring Blade's claims of being fine. He poured a little bit on the cotton ball and gently dabbed the wound. When he was satisfied, he got out some bandages and began to wrap it.
Little Riyo hadn't been sure on what to tell Poke, considering A, she didn't know and B, she was still nervous around the strange girl. But when Neko answered, she didn't have to.
Riyo's mind flashed back to the ordeal they went through mere minutes ago with the mother pig. They could've died. In fact, her little heart was still pounding from running so fast....
Her eyes then caught sight of something... Very red. Her head moved to get a better view of of the eye-catching substance. The other boy's leg was covered in blood...
She couldn't help but stare at it. Like a moth drawn to a flame. Why did it resonate with her so much?

Nodding slowly, Blade stared at the bottle. He knew what it was, since his mom had used some before when he got some scrapes here and there. Though he tried to brace himself for it, he couldn't help but wince and cringe. As he shut his eyes tightly, a few tears leaked out. It wasn't until the doctor had begun to wrap his knee that he slowly opened his eyes. Slowly, he tried to discretely wipe the tears, hoping no one had seen them. His knee still hurt a fair amount but the pain was slowly ebbing.
"Th-thanks..." he muttered out after a little bit.

for a minute poke was worried that they weren't okay, but then neko replied. She sighed in relief, but then she stood back a little feeling shy. What was she supposed to do or say now? She didn't want to say anything to offend them.
She looked over to the other boy who was being fixed up by the adult. It looked really painful what he was doing..but he was a adult, right?

It didn't take long for Neko to regain his bearings. Brain damage was a short lived adventure. Once the pain in his skull finally subsided the smell of food once again invaded his nose. His attention then turned to the remaining skewers of meat by the fire.
Mitsu had been quiet the whole while. For a moment it was like she was her normal self, shy, quiet, and uncertain. When she saw Neko look to the fire and the remaining skewers of meat she walked over and plucked up the two sticks, one in each hand, and walked back to the two. Once she was close she held them both out for Riyo and Neko to take. "I...I'm sorry I guess." She said bluntly, her cheeks growing red.
Looking up at the wolf girl, Neko's eyebrows rose in question. He stared at the meat for a long moment before he finally reached out and took one of them from her hand. Food was food, he guessed he would find out later if she was really sorry or not. "Uh...yeah." Without much hesitation he laid into the meat, glad to finally be eating something.

"No big deal." Atticus replied simply, giving the boy a soft pat on the shoulder before standing up and holding a hand down to him in case Blade needed help standing.
Riyo automatically snapped to attention as food was placed in front of her. She looked up at Mitsu with wide eyes, as if wondering if it was real, then meekly took the skewer. It was... It was real. Her mouth drooled a little, wondering when somebody would see her with it and snatch the food out of her hands, as she was so accustomed to. But nobody did. She took a bite...
And it was the most amazing thing she'd ever had. Little red beads of liquid formed in her eyes as a contradicting smile followed them. "T-thank you... So much..."
Atticus momentarily glanced over to the small blonde girl as she thanked Mitsu for the food. This Riyo appeared meek, shy, and quiet... Everything the grown-up version wasn't. How... Interesting.

Standing up with Atticus's help, Blade sniffed and wiped his eyes again before looking towards the other children. The boy he had run into had just gone off as if nothing happened. Frowning at this, he just scoffed and stayed right where he was, not wanting to go by the others again just yet.
He was not happy with this injury, and it could have been avoided if the other boy wasn't sitting right there. At least that's what he thought. The other kids didn't even seem that worried about him.
Crossing his arms, he leaned back against the nearest tree and basically pouted.

It seemed the two kitties were happy eating now, so that was a good thing. However when she looked at the boy again, he had walked over to a tree. He seemed by himself now...
"Umm.." looking at the kitties again, she walked over to the boy now. "Are...you alright...?" He did seem to be in alot of pain before. Maybe he was still hurt somewhere that the adult didn't see

It was odd to hear the girl so thankful for the food. As soon as both of them had taken the meat Mitsu took a step back, her face still red with embarrassment. She didn't like to apologize but she knew her brother would make her do so when he showed up. Might as well get it over with.
Tobi, glad to see the others return, bounded over toward the two and started to climb into Riyo's lap. He gave a soft yip as he struggled to do so, back feet flailing behind him.
Neko seemed to be finished in no time. Though it wasn't completely filling it was indeed satisfying. He felt like he hadn't eaten in days and that just hit the spot. "So good." He smiled tossing the skewer aside. He then turned to see if the other boy was okay, not that he was completely concerned. Blade had been the one to run into him after all.

Oh so now someone decides to check up on him. Still unhappy, the boy just looked away.
"Leave me alone," he grumbled. Yes, Blade remembered what Atticus had told him earlier, but he didn't really want to deal with anyone right now. For the most part, he was angry for no real reason. Perhaps it was just his frustrations with life getting to him once more.
