yeah.. I was pretty sad today~ :/ I reallllly don't think this is a good thing coming..
It's only bee passed by the senate - still has to go through congress, right? They have to finalize the wording and approve it all completely... And then it will be signed..
Technically, it's still not too late to let them know if you disapprove..

ammaea Obscurus ammaea umm? why? I wonder why being Canadian has anything to do with it? Do I not eat food? Do I not care for my family/the human race? It's not a Canadian law and it doesn't affect the Canadian food supply (except for imports) or Canadian producers (except for those that export). You don't strike me as the type that buys the food that's been prepared for import. I think that the whole issue has been blown out of proportion anyway. As I said previously, a lot of our food is imported. It's not like Canada's climate can support all the foods we need, and a lot is exported~ I also said that whatever happens in the states affects us too. Whether directly by making certain foods completely unavailable or simply more costly; orrr down the road where Canada somehow follows suit with trying to ban things like this. Even though I can't vote against it - those in the States can. or could have. The final vote is supposedly tomorrow... and it doesn't look good :/ As a voting citizen of the United States, I can tell you that I never had an opportunity to vote on anything related to this. It's not as simple as just voting against it. That leads us back to the primary issue: How do you fight something like this? Protests do d**k. Again, I'm not even sure it should be fought. Looks to me like it will make the food safer.

Mark my words - there will be additions to this bill that will further take away our right to food freedom, and soon it will become apparent to more people...

heh... so they messed up... and the bill has to be re-voted on, or is simply going to be seen as too much trouble for what its worth and thrown out.
Either way, a good thing IMO.
*happy dance*

My understanding is that the Senate will attempt to reconcile their passed version with the House version (which has some differences) in order to get it signed into law before the lame duck session is over.
I read about it in the paper today. I really don't see anything wrong with the bill except that it doesn't give the FDA enough authority to inspect the higher risk producers more often.

I was just making an attempt to elucidate our legislation process while adding my opinion on the legislation itself, given my new-found understanding of it.

S.510 is being re-voted on shortly here...
:/
it's all linked to the codex alimentarius and the illuminati and the big plan for depopulation and regulation and big brother. *sigh*

I still don't think it's as bad as is being hyped. I've noticed that most of the stuff in conspiracy communities is hyped a lot but never really amounts to the doom and gloom that's predicted. It's almost like doomsday predictions.
