well i do that too, i listen to the music that martin O'Donnell composed for Halo, or i listen to the soundtrack from Oblivion, they're both pretty good.

When it comes to writing, I need silence to do anything. I need to completely cut myself off from everything. If I'm in a non-silent room, I zone out completely when writing. I can't get anything good written when I listen to a song.

Now that's not to say that I'm not inspired by a song every so often. Sometimes when i hear a song, I start to wonder what the extended version would be like. One without a beat.

Hi! I'm new. Just call me Ryn. Anyways, I love Paramore and Beethoven's Last Night by Trans Siberian Orchestra. Yes, I know how dorky that is. Oh well. They just really help me to think, especially in action scenes or angry scenes.

I can;t listen to music while i am writing but during the brainstorming process it is great. It depends on what im writing as to what i listen to....
