I just sent two back to back pm's to ppl and found that I had to wait almost 2 min. before it would let me send the 2nd one. There shouldn't be any wait, or at most 15 seconds. stare rolleyes
2 min. is an awfully long time to wait to send a pm.

I agree. If you have a lot of PM's to get out...it can take an eternity. Time you could have spent doing other things. This has been going on for some time now. I don't think anyone is listening to the complaints.

Yeah. I get about 3 to 4 messages I have to answer and it's such a hassle. DX

I get the same problem. Also, anybody else remember back when we got paid gold for sending PMs? 30 for the first and less for the next few? They never did fix that to give us gold again, if you noticed.

I don't get why there is even a wait. Could it be because there are so many other people sending PMs too? In regular e-mail (Yahoo,GMail, MSN,HotMail,etc..) There is no wait at all and with popular e-mailing sites like Yahoo there are hundreds of people sending mail too.

Yeah, why can't there be a no wait minute? Or maybe like, a 10 second wait at least y'know? A shorter time for waiting or no wait at all would be nice.

On another large board I once belonged to, they were having database problems. So to make it easier on it while they repaired it, they increased the times between posting and pm'ing to 30 seconds and decreased it back to 15 sec. once the problem was fixed.
The unacceptably long wait between pm's points to not bothering to fix what is wrong with the database. Frequent database error msgs back this up.
They gave gold for pm's? They really should resume that; I had wondered why they didn't in the first place when I first arrived.

Yeah, 30 gold for the first PM and it decreased for each additional one. I think they should bring it back as well if you have to wait so long to send and it is getting super annoying.
And yes, they probably are neglecting to fix it because they have like 3 people who fix things and they aren't even on a schedule from what I can tell.

How did you find out how many bug repair techs there are and if they are part time or not? I know a tech spoke to a friend of mine and let him know that flash games, except for zmog were hopeless and that they were working on completely redoing them. This means that they will continue to degrade until the new ones are ready. If bg tonight is any example, soon it will not be poss to chat in towns, or play any games on gaia except for zmog. Did you guys notice that the daily change item change is gone? It evidentally caused all that trouble on Gaia a few days ago. What sloppy programming! rolleyes

OK, that confirms it; Gaia is having database problems and rather than put the resources in to fix it, it is resorting to these delays instead.
Things are about to get worse all over Gaia if they don't properly repair it.
