I expect Oblivion to be fun in all aspects but one. I personally miss levitation/jumping over walls and what not. I just liked the ability to cast Tinurs, and fly through the air.

And I just can't see a conceivable reason really, to get rid of that.

Don't dwell on it. Someone will make it.

That's a good point, when Oblivion comes out, if anyone finds a mod that does that, I'd be much obliged if ye'd tell me.

Thank'ee.

I expect that this game is going to be a lot lighter, and a lot darker than Morrowind in certain places, and have some very prevalant dungeons.

EDIT: I mention the light and dark thing because Morrowind seemed dingy and dull, throughout the whole world. Kinda what turned me off... razz

I'll also expect some great secrets, and quite a few funny references from the Bethesda team... smile

Yeah I found the dirt and gravel setting rather unsettling I guess, but still pretty fun. 5-star game right there ^^ And I hope the new construction set is much less complicated this time. I feel like modding when it comes out.

Construction set didn't get me until Scripting.

Then I was sort of lost, having had no formal education in it, so I couldn't script too well.

I expect Oblivion on the 360 to run as the trailers for the PC. Like throwing bones around and things like that.

because in a different game, called The Sims2 on the PC, you can have kids and age, all that jazz, but when it made it way to the consoles, EA didn't let us experience that feature. crying

I don't want that to happen to the 360 owners for the Oblivion game, like me.

Sad to say, you can probably expect it.

It'll be an awesome game for 360, of that I have no doubt, but when compared to a computer, there'll always be multiple ways where it won't be as good.

When it comes down to it, the 360 is a degraded computer, so it can't handle what a computer can.
@Arnix

Scripting confused the hell out of me.

Hmmm... No one else here can script? I'm an ametuer scripter, but I made a few scripts. One of them was in the Goblin Kingdom that was part of my Continent Mod, where the Goblins escaped the Mountains and started attacking towns. They actually killed citizens, appeared in houses, etc.

Nevertheless, at least that's something that will help me on Oblivion...

Actually, I'm pretty sure that I read just recently in either an issue of PC Gamer, or CGW that they've mostly gotten rid of the scripting system, and replaced it with something else.

I think you can...

Set the A.I. to certain specifications for your NPCs?

No, they didn't get rid of it. They expanded its capabilities, and added some stuff. You could set the AI in the previous game. That's nothing new.

So I see now.

I must've misread it.

Sadly however, that's bad, because I'll still suck at scripting.
