Lady-Sanctuary Matasoga Lady-Sanctuary Matasoga Of course I (we?) will be supporting the dark elves. The motivation, as usual here on Gaia, not being out of any love for the chosen side but because "the other guys are worse." And Drow are always underdogs? No, but they are Underdark. Actually, I saw a screencap from a RIG, where a nerd was talking to one of the Gaia dark elves about how the drow were mythologically more closely related to the troll than to elves. The dark elf responded by saying "What's a drow?" So... Evidently these are different, somehow, and not drow, at all. Probably just because Gaia cares nothing of any mythos save what it cherry picks from recent pop culture. Ahh, right. That's weird of Gaia. I just find Drow an easy short hand for Dark Elves. And in my head they're the same thing. razz As well they should be, but it seems Gaia decided that it wasn't right to totally screw up vampires without ******** up everything else that they paid attention to as well... But that's another rant, entirely.

I haven't really participated in events for awhile. sweatdrop I used to do them all without fail, and collect all the items, but after I missed one event, I just ... kind of gave up. I usually buy the items afterwards, and I might have a look and see what the game is, but that's about it. The events and storyline used to be one of my favourite parts of Gaia, too, even when they were kind of tedious.
Maybe now is a good time to get back into the swing of things, though. The Gaian vampires are irritating (and the vampire avatar base is hideous), so I suppose I will be siding with the elves.

I used to do the events too but most of the time they're very meh and just gold sinks really.
