"Sachi..." Yana's voice grew tight, "There are children on this boat. Suppose one of you made a false move and they got hurt?"

Sachi nodded. "That's where you come in. I wouldn't fight on the boat, I would jump off, and you would steer the boat away."

"Sachi, I understand where you're going...Kyoujin isn't the most pleasant companion. But I must go out and redirect him...you may be a water-bender but you're still highly inexperienced. He's looking for me, I know that much. If your bending doesn't cause enough effect, then it may cause too much of an effect and cause problems for the boat. And won't the boat go by faster with waterbending? Better to be the real hero and protect the majority of the innocents this way, no?"
She turned away to the lifeboats, climbing in. "That's my decision. Please tell the captain that the situation is being taken care of."
She lowered the lifeboat, rowing out towards the serpent. Yana could only hope to convince Kyoujin off that damned snake.

Kyoujin was perfectly comfortable from where he sat. He didn't pay any mind to anything but the land that was set ahead of him...until the serpent began splashing its lower body at the sight of something.
"What the-" He growled, looking back to see what it was that was bothering it. "Y-you..."
"Chill you huge water worm!" He ordered, stomping on its head. "Aren't you suppose to be ahead? And why are you on a boat when I have to ride this thing?"

"We got caught up by bandits." Yana said calmly, even as he looked level at her from his apparent bossiness of the serpent. "Took us a while to shake them off. And Full Moon Bay has been serving ferries for years...so people can get to Ba Sing Se. Didn't you know that?"

Sachi grumbled to herself, stalking over to the captain. "It's okay, everything's under control." She said through her teeth, stalking to the front of the boat. She bended the water around the boat, moving it forward, faster. I can't believe Yana said I was inexpirenced. I can waterbend pretty well. I was taught, and before that I practiced myself.... She thought on and on, she almost ran straight into the shore. She stopped the boat in time, and made it so all of the passengers could get off.

"I was told to go this way, and of course I had no ideas. My caravan never trailed out this far," Kyoujin said, trying to smooth out his voice to seem as calm as Yana. Laying against the serpent's head fin, he set his eyes cold on her. He had a feeling she might have been lying about the bandits, but then again he couldn't prove her wrong.
"Are you okay? I mean, if you got caught up in bandits that long, surely there was a struggle. Where's your fighting scars?"

"While the bandits were...irritable," Yana sought a proper word for it, "I am the lady who managed to throw an apprentice firebender off a mountain. And we were well guarded. So while the fight was drawn out somewhat, we did manage to make it to safety."
Lying really wasn't that difficult. It was as easy as keeping her face smooth and emotionless for meetings with Koh. "Perhaps the general accidentally gave you an older map. In anycase, I'm quite impressed. The serpent of Serpent's Pass usually isn't so...meek."

"This thing?" Kyoujin chuckled, patting its head with his foot.
"I suppose I showed it who's boss," he continued as nonchalant as he could, flexing his muscles a bit. "And we're all good now, right water snake?"
The serpent seemed to scoff at his failure at bragging and trying to impress Yana, but it nodded gently.

"But you'll have to drop it back off at the Pass now." Yana said strictly. He may control the snake, but she had been the one who'd thrown him off a slate mountain. "We can't very well have a giant serpent come with us to the temple."

(Is anyone at war at the moment?)
Master Koada who had set sail through the icey waters of the Northern Water Tribe to learn from the water benders inhabiting the swamps of the Earth Kingdom. He had persistantly been practicing his water bending even after becoming a water bending master. He had journied through the waters of his tribe until he came upon a large jagged wall. He recognized it as Serpent's Pass that blocked his way, but he could get across it, after all he was a master "I'm going to have to abandon my favorite boat....." Koada steered across the side of it and walked to the edge of the boat. He then created a cylinder of ice in which to stand on and water bend his way up to the ledge of the cliff, then made his way travelling across towards the entrance with animal skin bag full of supplies that he was running low on, so he travelled towards the direction of Full Moon Bay to try and resupply.

While Kyoujin was disappointed to leave his new pet behind, they made it to Ba Sing Se in one piece, the Serpent all too eager to flee back to its grotto. Palace Guards were already waiting for them in a seperate carriage. "Lady Yana," they bowed, "The Earth King and Earth Sages are awaiting you and your company at the palace."
"Thank you," Yana replied smoothly, stepping into the carriage.
"He would also like to note that Prince Nahel has arrived from the Fire Nation to help you."
Yana did something unexpected; she stumbled. Her foot slipped and jerked at the sentence and she turned pink. "Ah, oh my. Prince Nahel...That...that's unexpected."
"Yes. He's brought several artifacts from the Fire Sages to help you."
Yana didn't say anything, but nodded and carried herself in a more dignified manner into the carriage. She remembered the young prince...but it had been a long, long time.
