Hey! Had a thought!
You know all those sci-fi movies where humanity finds an ancient monster civilization underground? Yeah, There is about 200 of them.
What If a portion of humanity lived out the apocalypse and repopulated the earth underground? Then billions of years later, We emerge after surviving on.. Say.... Some sort of fungus? Or we grew crops under the ground.... Somehow. But when we emerge, We are greeted by the new inhabitants of earth, And we would be like the monsters to them. They might try to kill us out of fear of what we are.
However, If they advanced enough to have archeologists and scientists and historians, They might know what we are, And we might either be experimented on, Or praised as ultimate survivors and we will be free to live among them.

Are there actual mayan texts saying:
this is the end,
beautiful friend,
this is the end,
my only friend, the end?
And if they actually in texts declare the end; well interesting they didn't prophecy their flogging by the spanish conquistadors.
Also, there is an actual date for that great extinction now? Or is that assumed?
If I remember their religious texts properly I belive their snake god will be returning? Kukulcan
Or something of the sort... Who's down to go to that island off the south american coast where the "Final" solar ecplise and transit of venus will be perfectly seen? There's a mayan statue we can climb up to witness it! wink

God Emperor Akhenaton TrutherMay God Emperor Akhenaton If it's the end of the world, then why would you want to survive it? when people talk about the end of the world, they usually mean the end of the "system". the end of the cities and governments etc. human kind will always survive, isolated in remote places. Still won't happen. The same s**t has been assumed in 1999, 2006 and now 2012. People can't see into the future. Those who can need computers. Something the Mayan's didn't have. i agree. although i think something could be staged. and a bunch of occult folk will be having alot of activity because for whatever reason certain #'s and years mean alot to them
