Hi so this is a place for you guys to post ideas or questions or anything you really want to know or suggest about the guild. We'd like conversations between members to be kept out of this thread and leave stricly this is my idea or can we start doing this or why aren't we doing that or what if this happens or anything along those lines.

Here are a few of my ideas for contests:
1) Tektek contest. Have the mods or the contest creator choose a faery or other magical creature for the participants to create. Whoever comes up with the most creative tektek wins.
2) Poetry contest. Choose a faery topic and have participants submit a short poem in any form they wish. Set up a vote for after you narrow it down, and whoever gets the most votes wins.
3) Guild mascot contest. I know we have had a banner contest, but I think it would be fun to make a mascot for the guild as well. Have the participants design a mascot, it could be done in any form (photoshop, hand drawn, tektek etc.) set up a vote and whoever gets the most votes wins.
Thank you for your considerations. I would like to participate in more contests, so I hope we come up with some fun ones!^-^

We have quite a few weekly's and so far we've been extremely good at keeping them updated. Not all contests are going to be weekly. We are thinking of having a weekly raffle of some sort but we're really trying for one big one a month and little things here and there.

I'd really like to hear some feedback here about the first experience contest. Is there any particular reasons you didn't submit something? Was it not enough time? You didn't like the idea of speaking about your first experience, it's too personal? Any ideas why you think it didn't do so well in general?

There was plently of time. Maybe we didn't adveritise very well, but other than that, I think people didn't fell like taking time out of their day to post something.

Im quite sorry I missed out on the contest. Im afraif rl has been forcing its priority level higher then normal as of lately. Its gotten so bad, I havent even gone to upper reality in weeks. Quite depressing, really. My wings are yearning to stretch and be free. Hopefully Ill be able to snag myself into the next contest.

I'm sorry to say I also missed out on the first experience contest due to real life concerns, which is a bummer since I love to write! (as I'm sure those of you who have ever read one of my posts can tell...they tend to get lengthy) Perhaps next contest... sweatdrop Perhaps it didn't do so well because others didn't have enough time to compose what they wanted to write? Or maybe people thought the prospect of writing so much to be too daunting. It's hard to say. Maybe the next contest that involves writing could be a poetry contest? I know poetry was allowed in the last contest, but maybe if it was strictly poetry people would go for it.
I, personally, would like to see more threads from members of the guild. We have quite a few members, but it seems only a handful are making their voices known, and it would be lovely to hear from them. I'm a little hesitant to bring up the suggestion of another contest, especially as we have so many of them already...but maybe there could be a contest held (a lengthy one held over the course of 3-4 months?) that would reward the top members that posted the most meaningful threads (in other words, they didn't spam the guild in order to win, but made great contributions to posting and creating new threads)
It doesn't even necessarily have to be an item...perhaps recognition? Those who post a certain number of posts could earn a certain title?
In return, I might be willing to make some pictures we could use to denote the different ranks people could earn (if you're curious about my drawing style, I have some of my anime sketches in the art arena). Just a thought. It might be too much work for those in charge, but I thought I'd put it out there. heart
