LEN IS NOT A GIRL, MOM!! scream
I currently have this MAGNET picture as my desktop background and everytime my mom sees it, she ALWAYS asks something along of the lines of Len being a girl; "Are those lesbians? That looks like a girl." "Is that a girl? They have a girl hand."
So annoying gonk
Anything like this ever happen to you?
Characters in the picture are named Ren and Lin by the way...it's just a re-color so I keep calling them Rin and Len.

THAT IS WHY I STOPPED DRAWING GAKUPO AROUND OTHER PEOPLE.
crying
I usually just disguise him as Gakuko anyways... but then I get criticized because I'm always drawing 'THAT GIRL.'

Lol, this is why you need to show them a fullbody shot first before they go for their theories of them being a girl. My mom knows my petters on drawing a girl and a boy, because boys usually look more aggressive on their facial features, as if they're looking sly, and cunning, and that's what separates them from the girls, looking moreover to the innocent side. Oh, if you dunno what I mean, here's another clue, it's their eyes. If you can find a particular pattern on drawing their eyes, to separate their gender, then do it.

Well the first one is kind of unclear until I see the whole body and the muscle structure and stuff. But the 2nd one ja.

Aside from my distaste towards it being recoloured.
That image always gave me a very 'feminine' vibe of Len.
People tend to draw him very feminine like so it's only natural for a parent to assume that Len is female in that image.

Ugh, that hasn't happened to me with Len (at least I don't think), but that happens alot with anime. My mom is always "Is that a girl?" No. I guess it is just really easy for me to tell the difference. stressed

Trust me, at times, it's good that one of the guys looks like a she. You try explaining to your parents and random family members why two guys are singing to each other and are very close.
Just sometimes, let them be in the dark. sweatdrop

It happens all the time when I even BEGIN to draw a person. And I start with the eyes. All my friends are like: "It's a boy right?" When I'm drawing a girl >> It might be because they love girly looking guys though. The only time I had trouble with my parents trying to figure out the gender of a person was when I watched the korean drama You're Beautiful. My mom thought all the guys in the band were girls xDD
