I don't mean to offend anyone, but why does it seem like they are having Jesus's funeral every Sunday?
I mean, the atmosphere seems so gloomy

Basically, what I mean is, why are some catholic churches so gloomy as if they are in a state of permanent mourning over the death of Jesus?

XemryXIII Basically, what I mean is, why are some catholic churches so gloomy as if they are in a state of permanent mourning over the death of Jesus? That is exactly what it is, It is a religion built on guilt and shame. If your not sorry jesus is dead than you don't go to heaven, that's there basic principle.
