Goldenrod City is a developing city on the west coast of the Johto peninsula. The city is home to Johto's Department Store as well as its Radio Tower. It is also home to a Game Corner similar to the one in Celadon City. A newly built GTS was built on a boardwalk past the Radio Tower and allows trading between the various regions.

Sitting on a stool in her gym Whitney feed her Clefairy and Miltank some Moo-Moo milk. Awaiting the next challenger to arrive. She sniffed showing she had shed tears, she didn't like to lose. "Dont worry guys! This time we will win" she declared pinning the Plain badge to her chest. "With this moo-moo milk we'll be cuter and invincible"

Buena takes her headphones as her show went off the air. "Ah...now time to try and talk to DJ Ben about going to the Department Store for a drink." she says, rushing to the stairs.
