I have three favorites as of now.

First is Jupiter by Gustav Holst. Not the version we played this year though, which was a beginning band arrangement. We played a really good version, which was simplified slightly but extremely close tot he original, in middle school.

Then there was English Folk Song Suite by Ralph Vaughan Williams. We played it at regionals. It is the perfect mix of simplicity and complexity that makes a piece fun to play. There were both hard runs and pretty melodys, and i was playign second part.

Finally we have another Holst piece, Second Suite in F. Especially the first, second and last movements. The third movement was a bit annoying to me. Like English folk Song Suite, it had the perfect balance of simplicity and complxity and had complicated rythyms mixed with beautiful solos that made your mind feel at peace.

For our school band it is Imani because it was super fun to play once we practiced. For our city concert band it is Don Ricardo because it was one of the first songs to give me goosebumps and a smile.

Vesuvius for Wind Ensemble. For marching band, the Drum Corps version of Thanks for the Memories. We got a LOT of lows for this year, when compared with last year, with four tubas, five baritone saxes, ten baritones (maybe more), a handful of mellos and a good amount of tenor saxes. And the version we are using has AWESOME, loud, low parts and then a sick melody in the trumpets (go lead trumpets '10 heart ). Its one of the coolest things I've heard, next to our ballad from two years ago. Plus who wouldn't want screaming trumpets, cool clarinet/alto/flute runs, and a honking low part as their closer?!?!?!?

I had my own part all by myself with that song. I had to play so loud to balance with the rest of my section

Malanguena was definitely my favorite.

Pictures At An Exibition- The Hut On Fowl's Leg (Baba Yaga)

It was the best one out of all of the pictures at an exibition songs... This video is about nine minutes, but we our band only played through the first minute and fifteen seconds, except ours was shorter and arranged by someone else (i forgot the name) so yeah.

Also another one of my faves is going to be our Led Zepplin show. We are playing 'Whole Lotta Love'.... 'The Immigrant Song'... 'Heartbreaker'... and 'Stairway To Heaven'

I don't know the order yet, but I know 'Whole lotta Love' is first and 'Stairway To Heaven' Is last... I don't about the other two.
My fave out of them is either 'Whole lotta Love' and/or 'Heartbreaker'

I would have to say Tunes That Go Bump In The Night because a person got to scream, we got to say BOO really loudly, and there was spookey laughter in the backround razz
