This is all out of memory, so cook at your own risk. sweatdrop

This recipe takes appx 8 hours to cook, so it's best to make early to eat for dinner, or very late to have for breakfast on cold days.

Ingredients
  • 2 lbs stew beef (improv: steak tips)
  • 1/3 cup orange juice with or without pulp
  • 1 & 2/3 cup beef broth (improv: mix with chicken broth or more orange juice if you don't have enough beef)
  • 1 medium onion
  • Large handful baby carrots
  • handful sliced mushrooms
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 2 or 3 medium potatoes
  • 1 tsp(???) cinnamon
  • 1 tsp (???) salt
  • 2 tsp (???) pepper


Instructions

  • Cut meat into halves. Repeat as necessary until meat is about two bites per piece.
  • Cut potatoes into chunks of similar size as meat.
  • Chop carrots and celery.
  • Cut onion into eighths (aka chop the ******** in half a few times). Outer layer pieces should fit neatly into an adult's mouth.
  • Separate onion layers from each other. Cut larger pieces in half if necessary.
  • Layer in crockpot (in this order!):
    • mushrooms & onions
    • carrots & celery
    • potatoes
    • meat
  • Mix orange juice and beef/chicken broth in a bowl
  • Add spices to juice-broth mixture
  • Pour mixture over ingredients
  • cover
  • Cook for 2 hours power high
  • Cook for 6 hours power low

TWELVE YEARS LATER...

Bumping this up a bit since I'll actually be making this every so often, what with the having a crockpot AND a husband who loves food
