Title: A Modest Proposal Author: Jonathan Swift Type: Satirical Essay About: Eating the babies as poor families in Ireland so they don't become a burden on their families. I actually wrote a modern version of that proposal. I proposed that we get rid of all drugs to create survival of the fittest. It was an amusing thing to write. I definitely recommend that essay!

"It's in my English textbook. Very enlightening, too. Jonathan Swift is definitely a great essayist whose work is very much worth reading.
My class had an assignment about satire, and I was getting pretty angry while writing it. Unfortunately, the guy who offered to present my essay for me during finals didn't quite get the tone I was hoping for, but I was satisfied.
I wrote something harsh about suicide."
