A pole dancer isn't necessarily a stripper, just as others have pointed out. On the other hand, just because a girl strips that doesn't mean she's going around being a hooker too.
It takes a lot of skill to pole dance the way professionals do, so I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it became a sport.
