I'm doing this research paper on the Similarities and Differences of Paganism and Catholicism. My teacher said to use any source at our disposal. Normally I'd scour the Web but I'm turning up relatively little on either subject. I was rather surprised because there are so many symbols of Paganism within Catholicism.
My point is, basically, That I'd love to hear your ideas on the subject. Has anyone noticed the similarities? Has anyone learned about them on a deeper level? It would be a huge help!

Are you comparing it to a specific pagan religion? In general "paganism" simply refers to any non-Abrahamic religion/path, so you would need to narrow it down to which of the various religions that fall under that umbrella, you want to do your research on.

Yeah as ncsweet stated you would have look at a specific pagan religion, since pagan mearly means non-Abrahamic (i.e. Not Jewish, Christian, or Muslim), before you can make any comparisons and contrasts. Oh and to aid you a bit just in case you don't know:
All Wicca are witches but not all witches are Wicca. All Wicca are pagan but not all pagans are Wicca. Also not all pagans are witches and not all witches are pagan.
