 Konaga Riko Iwagakure| Konaga Clan | Genin|| Taijutsu Specialist || Speed || Tectical || Simply nodding in response to Shinji's praise, Riko continued to take in shaky breaths while attempting to contain her legs from buckling in completely. The pain was like many tiny rodents resided within her legs and were now trying to claw and tear their way out. Combine that with the feeling of her legs being smashed and the would only amount to 90% of what she was feeling at the moment. Gritting her teeth, Riko did her best to remain normal and in focus while Shinji learned and taught the next technique. As he explained it, Riko definiately saw the usefulness of the technique and easily memorizing the seals, watched as Shinji easily performed the technique.
Fighting through the pain, Riko silently nodded her response before stepping a few paces from the group. Riko knew that she had to becareful less she wants to fall prey to her bloodline...Taking in several deep breaths, Riko willed herself to push the obvious pain to the back of her mind as she ran over the handseals. Due to the still blaring pain in the back of her mind, Riko had to spend a bit longer going over the handseals than usual. Something she's sure Shinji's keen eyes would catch. 'Hopefully he won't think badly of me or worry too much about it...this is what today's training is about isn't it? To master my pain?' Releasing another deep breath, Riko finally felt ready and letting her already wild chakra run loose, Riko quickly performed the correct hand seals and narrowing her eyes, did her best to concentrate her chakra into the earth below. Her chakra was becoming a bit unstable, that much was for sure. The chakra wasn't infusing with the earth properly and instead of softening it, it was breaking it. Just when it seemed that her chakra would completely get out of hand, Riko cancelled her jutsu and forced her chakra back into her internal system. As she dropped to the ground, Riko pressed her palms to the ground as she tried to control her uneven breathing. The pain was getting too much and all the consecutive training was really getting to her. Taking several moments to calm herself down, Riko eventually reached a state of calm and control. Ready to try again, Riko relaxed her mind and allowed her chakra to flow freely once more. Easily going through the handsigns, Riko held onto the last seal and did her best to not close her eyes while she concentrated on sending her chakra into the earth. At first the earth cracked under the intensity of her chakra but eventually it stopped as Riko was able to finally ease her chakra into the earth without much trouble. Taking deep breaths, Riko worked on using her chakra to moisten the earth while still keeping it stable enough for a solid foundation. The earth below Riko rumbled a bit before it shot straight up into a dirt mound reaching 10 feet. As it rose, Riko could feel it's foundation shake but keeping her concentration firm, was eventually able to mold it into a solid yet moist foundation. Releasing the seal, Riko released an esperated sigh as she did her best to ignore the nagging pain that was beginning to resurface. "I'vє гєαlιzєd sσʍєтнιɴɢ..." »After learning his technique, Kaze hurried over to Shinji and Riko to begin learning the next one. It was called Tsuka no Tsuchi Souzou. With the way Shinji explained the jutsu, made it really seem like a sponge. It was a jutsu which optimized Doton's usefulness against Suiton. Perhaps if Kaze were to face a Suiton user in the Chuunin Exams, he would have even more of an advantage on said person. After all, this whole training process is about prepping for the Chuunin Exams. So, if Kaze didn't have jutsu to give him an advantage, there would be no point.
After Shinji showed the seals to the jutsu, Kaze stepped back as directed, and watched Shinji rise into the air on top of the mount, ten feet in the air. Theory was nice and all, but practical was amazing! "Whoa..." Kaze said, basically to sum up what he thought of the jutsu. He, obviously, couldn't wait to use it,but he allowed Riko to go first.
It was then he noticed something.. something odd. Riko was breathing hard. No, not hard... rather, uneven. He noticed it throughout the training they had. Kaze, then, remembered what Shinji had told him one time.. "Essentially, our chakra is limitless and will never be exhausted, but we pay a steep price. We feel pain all the time... what I can only describe to you as agonizing pain, but it goes beyond that, far beyond what most people would even consider tolerable." This fact.. bugged Kaze. Deeply. He'd have to talk to Shinji about it later. Right now, he had to focus on the jutsu, the same jutsu Riko just performed.
Kaze took a deep breath in, then out. Remembering the handseals, Kaze performed them once, for practice. Then a second time, to remember it. Then third time was the actual practical. "Here we go!" Kaze said right before saying the jutsu name,"Doton: Tsuka no Tsuchi Souzou (Earth Release: Earth Mound Creation)!" His chakra went into the ground easily, and softened it. To do that, he channeled his chakra through his body, to the ground. Once the softening was complete, it didn't stop there! The chakra mixed with the earth began to cause it to rise up into the air, about ten (10) feet, with Kaze at the apex of it all. Kaze took a look down the steep slope of the jutsu, and wondered how much it would hurt if someone fell down there. It was a real question! Just think about it.. falling from 10ft..

At any rate,he was finally leveled with Shinji and Riko, and worse a grin on his face.

Deidalus stood watching the training of his fellow ninja. As he watched them growing stronger before his eyes, he began to consider the state of Iwagakure. Iwagakure is growing stronger, faster and quicker than it ever has before. Alone, still we will fall if attacked by a greater force. Perhaps it is time we solidify alliances. We have a tentative alliance with Kumogakure right now, but if we can get Sunagakure to pledge itself to an alliance, I am sure we will be able to strengthen that treaty. Carefully considering his choices, Deidalus decided on his next course of action. Pulling out an empty scroll, he set about writing a message to the Raikage. Rolling the scroll up, he removed a small container from his pocket and withdrew a wax seal. Applying the seal to the scroll, Deidalus headed towards the nearest group of ninja.
Walking towards Shinji, using his full stride to cover the distance quickly but without seeming like he was in a rush, Iwagakure's acting Tsuchikage spoke up. "I apologize for interrupting your training session, however I have a couple of missions that need to be completed. Shinji, I need you to deliver this scroll to the Raikage as soon as possible. While there, assist them in anything they need help with. I'll be taking Kaze and Riko with me to Sunagakure, where I hope to lay the ground work for a great alliance of nations." With that he offered the scroll to Shinji. "Do not worry, I shall teach them as we go. Their training will suffer not."

"Hey deidalus! Why not give me something to do also?" Kai didn't yell it to him but she made it loud enough for him to hear it. She had just strolled into the training grounds to sit on one of the flatter rocks, not entirely flat but good to sit on.

Interesting. He was sending Shinji off somewhere? Then, Deidalus said something of Sunagakure. Kaze immediately smiled widely. He released the Earth Mound Creation jutsu. It began to dissolve into the ground slowly, eventually bringing Kaze back to ground level once more. He only looked at Deidalus, then Shinji. Then back at Deidalus. He could only grin. Did he hear correctly? Going to Sunagakure?
Soon thereafter, Kai appeared asking for a mission, too. "Heh.."

Konaga Riko Iwagakure| Konaga Clan | Genin|| Taijutsu Specialist || Speed || Tectical || From her position at the top of the earth mound, Riko fought deligently against the pain. Mentally, she was doing well. As for physically, her trembling body was all the explanation someone would need. Taking deep, shaky breaths as Kaze managed to make his was up to the group through his own use of the Doton: Tsuka no Tsuchi Souzou, Riko could feel herself almost at the end of her rope. 'It's be awhile since I trained this deligently, I'm going to need a long meditation cycle if I hope to be good enough for tomorrow.' Breaking from her thought, Riko glanced down towards her sensei only to find Deidalus strolling over withwhat appeared to be a scroll in hand. 'Hm...a mission?'
Not trusting herself to jump, Riko mimiced Shinji and slid down the side of her earth mound. Walking up behind her older brother figure, Riko stopped a meter behind and remained quiet. All she heard was something along the lines of Kaze and Riko, Sunagakure and training with Deidalus. 'He's splitting us up from Shinji-san? Sunagakure...I wonder what that place's like?' Riko was brought out of her thoughts as she heard Kai's voice call out off to the side about getting a mission. 'Guess even Chuunin need something to do nowadays...' Remaining rooted to her spot, Riko waited for the next set of instructions patiently, still not completely understanding what's going on at the moment.

Deidalus waved Kai over before replying to her obvious want for a mission. "The Hospital is running low on Aconitum, a plant used in creating an anesthetic. However, it is only located in Fire country. As it stands, you are the only free ninja to perform this mission." Turning away from her, Deidalus pointed towards Kaze and Riko. "Prepare yourself for a week long mission and then meet me at the Gates. Dress lightly and pack a lot of water." After stating his commands, Deidalus about-faced and briskly walked towards the exit.

Konaga Riko Iwagakure| Konaga Clan | Genin|| Taijutsu Specialist || Speed || Tectical || Riko kept to her spot behind her sensei and as Deidalus waved her over to give her a mission, Riko found herself intrigued. 'Interesting...' Tensing as Deidalus suddenly turned and pointed at both Kaze and herself, Riko wasn't sure what to expect but such a direct command was not on the list. 'Right away? This isn't good.' Glancing pleadingly at Shinji, Riko hoped for him to say something but realizing that that was pathetic, shook her head and smiled instead. Nodding her head enthusiastically at Deidalus, Riko wasn't given much time to respond before he up and left the area.
Releasing a sigh, Riko realized that she was stuck and manuvering herself so she was in front of Shinji, flashed him a small smile before speaking. "Well thanks again for training me Shinji-san, I'll be sure to be weary of my limits while on the mission. I'll also try to avoid letting ppl see me meditate." Givng him a small wave, Riko jogged out of the training grounds.

She stood up and nodded. Kai would go grab a book first since she had no idea what the plant looked like or where in the fire country she could find it. She walked off after setting a quick nice glare to Kaze.

This.., as it killed Kaze to say it, Sannin.. had so much ethical presence that you wanted to do exactly what he says to do then and there. The current thing to do was prepare themselves for a week long mission. Week. Kaze doubted that it would be one week, but that was what was said. Deidalus then walked off with a purpose.
Looking to Shinji, Kaze bowed slightly. "Thanks for uh.. the training... Shinji-sa-- .. Shinji." It was a very unusual thing for Kaze to do, but he did it anyway. It seemed polite. As Kai walked off, she gave Kaze a nice glare, which Kaze returned before he, too, walked off.

 Nara ❈ Chunin ❈ Iwagakure ❈ Doton♫ Nemuranai machi no mannaka de tachidomatte sa osaerarenai kono shoudou? ♫
♫ In the middle of the restless city, stopped by this uncontrollable urge? ♫ A familiar pink haired, blue eyed, girl sat apon one of the boulders with in the area, sitting there as if daydreaming when in reality she was taking a 'sitting up' nap. It was a beautiful day in Iwagakure so why not take a small nap? She was basically trained to her max of techniques and no genin sprouted about in awhile for her to train, nor a kage or higher up to same rank to annoy. Kaze was probably sleeping in again, Shinji on the other hand was either training himself or being the smart *ss man he was in certain aspects not even Kai could relate.
