"Oh... I... I don't know if I can do that." He flattened his ears and looked away. "I...I think I hit my head bad. Or something. I can't remember a lot of things. I..don't know how to use my power or what it does..."

"You don't need to use any sort of power to give people hope. I'm sure that you'd appeared in these lands at all would be a great step forward," Aang reassured, stepping forward to give Li Wei's cheek a gentle nudge. "I think just an appearance would be blessing enough."

"Really? You think so?" He looked back and smiled softly. It still didn't feel like enough. Heve and Squall would agree, maybe even Mut if he got the nerve to ask the impressive god. His chest tightened slightly, another one...they were just happy enough with his appearance- but he -wanted- to do more. "Thank you...do you want me to...walk around or something? I can run around the territory for a while. I dunno if it'll help but..it might?"

"That's fine. I should probably get back to my group, anyway. They'll probably be wondering if I got distracted by a bird and wandered off!" Aang said, laughing softly and shaking his head. "Just remember that you're welcome back here any time."

He nodded slowly. "I'll try to come back. Maybe by the time things settle here I'll realize what I can do to reward your efforts here."
He stood himself up and shook himself out. Just like that, his mortal form faded. It was the least he could do. The cheetah had revealed himself, it seemed unfair to hide behind a mask. "It was good to meet you."

Li dipped his head and watched the cheetah trot off. He turned slowly, regarding his reflection quietly. His horn was nearly fully grown...maybe he was close.
Sighing, he dipped his head and began nibbling at the grass. He couldn't starve to death, but it didn't mean he couldn't enjoy a nibble here and there.
